He recommended that my sister have an tooth removed and I encouraged her to get a second opinion. When she did, the said she needed crown. I am concerned about the quality of care he provides for people that don't know about dentistry.

But at Scasta Family Dentistry the word "Family" has more to do with you being a part of their family than just who they serve. Dr. Scasta is scary smart, and makes sure he's always 110% on top of new procedures and innovations so he can bring them to his patients. Today I saw Ari for my cleaning. As always....super professional and capable, but it struck me how kind it was that she remembered how many sons I had and places I'd worked. She cared not only about my dental health, but about me. And that's just the norm. Keep in mind that Scasta is not a "plan dentist," even though they take insurance, so they might be a little more expensive than you're used to. She paused and allowed me to rest my jaw during the treatment and was continually asking if I was doing ok. I have a dental back ground and the dentist that did the filling the first time, just 3 months earlier, left a space between the teeth which packed with food every time I ate. I asked my sister to go see Dr. Rivers before she did what another dentist recommended, which was to have one of her teeth extracted. Dr. Rivers made a crown and put the finished crown in her mouth the same day.
