When I asked for an explanation of the financial charges with insurance, I was treated rudely instead of getting a professional explanation of the charges. They attempted to get me to pay more by having duplicate charges of a consult fee in my financial arrangement. The clinical care is excellent, but dealing with the front desk makes this practice not worth it.

After feeling dissatisfied with my last dentist's plans for my mouth, I found myself stuck. He was one of the few that did IV sedation in office. For awhile I just let it go, but then I started having tooth pain and as I was finally in a place to actually take better care of my teeth, I needed to do something about it. My sweetie recommended his dentist, Dr. Jim at Arents Family Dentistry. OMG, Dr. Jim is just plain awesome. He was warm, friendly, and very understanding about my phobia. After my initial exam, he drew up a treatment plan that actually focused on saving those teeth that could still be saved, not just taking them all out! I am over 40 years old and had never had a root canal or had a filling because I was so used to dentists just going with the pull and go option because it was cheaper (and admittedly, I couldn't afford much else at the time). With a combination of a Valium and nitrous oxide, Jim has not only done a root canal, but pulled four really bad back teeth that were broken off at the gum line. I did not feel a single drop of pain and the visits were all pleasant! My mom would have called it a miracle, and in some ways it has. Thanks to Jim's care and excellent skill, I'm looking forward to continuing to work on my mouth and one day have a smile I'm truly proud of!
