We were able to get her in on a Sunday with Dr. Jay Erickson. He was extremely professional and seemed more than happy to see us even though it was after normal operating hours. Dr. Erickson was thorough and gentle. He answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable. He even followed up with us with a phone call ! I have had follow up calls from staff at other dentist offices but never from the Doctor. After the great service we received, when I was down for another family visit I decided to to have some teeth whitening trays made by Mathews Dental Group. Love them! They fit perfect! My husband saw Dr. Wiley for oral surgery today. He never asks for pain medications anywhere he…read moregoes. He has a pain level of 6. Gum pain is very painful. My husband was told to take Tylenol or Ibuprofen. That is not strong enough. Dr. Wiley should know better and understand gum surgery is painful. I understand the opiod crisis but there is no reason to be cruel. A few codeine is not going to cause him to get addicted. If you need oral surgery and don't want to suffer, I recommend you go elsewhere.

He knew how to help you manage periodontal issues and did not run to surgery just because there was more money in it. Unfortunately, his last receptionist did not have the insurance reimbursement check sent to me. (I had paid in pull at the appointment.) I didn't not see this until after he had closed his office and left town. That last receptionist was not a pleasant experience. He was still excellent.

I have a dental back ground and the dentist that did the filling the first time, just 3 months earlier, left a space between the teeth which packed with food every time I ate. I asked my sister to go see Dr. Rivers before she did what another dentist recommended, which was to have one of her teeth extracted. I have seen by many other doctors in town or elsewhere without noticeable improvement. Dr. Karen Arents has recently given me very constructive and very professional advice on how I should take care of my mouth and lip, which have worked for me really well. The nurses, doctor assistants, and front desk among all other staffs are welcoming and efficient too. Anyone that is seeking for real oral improvement should definitely give them a try.
