This place is horrible! Seriously! Dr Quackananey is about as smart as the plant in the lobby... He's supposedly been doing this his entire life! No matter what I am going in for always receive excellent care. All the staff are very good and I haven't had a bad experience yet. I have had exams, crowns done, tooth removal and implants done. I have been explained every step and comfortable with everything being done. So far a complete success. Would definitely recommend this office for any type of dental care. read more

I will never forget my experience! I went in on "free dental cleaning" day to get a tooth pulled. Dr McAnaney was in a hurry to get to 100 patients before 4pm and he rushed me through! He decided I needed several bottom teeth removed, just by looking at the teeth (no X-ray). He didn't give me a chance to think about it or discuss it with him-he just said "we need to get these out too!" He was in such a hurry, He didn't give the lidocaine gel enough time to numb my mouth, before he started sticking needles in my gums! The dental assistant even told him she had just put the gel on and it was too soon! He just kept saying, "she's fine " During the extraction I had tears pouring down my face, she kept asking me if I was OK and HE would answer "she's fine." (I couldn't talk with my mouth full of gauze) I could tell she was upset too. I was traumatized! I was in and out of that clinic in 20 minutes! I sat in my car shaking when it was over, too traumatized to drive -I felt like I had just been assaulted! I will NEVER go to a dentist alone again! read more

While the staff is ALWAYS friendly, I discovered that they aren't an in-network provider with any plan. So if you call and ask if they accept your insurance, they will tell you 'yes', which they do, BUT if you ask if they are IN-NETWORK, they simply respond "no- but they will maximize your dental plan". Out of network dentists/doctors can charge whatever they want, bill your insurance to get as much from them they can, but turn around and balance bill you for the rest. In-Network providers are allowed to charge only so much for their services, Receive payment from the insurance for the agreed upon rate then bill you for your portion which is substantially less than than out-of-network prices. In short- out of network is often twice the cost as it would be to go to an in-network doctor/dentist, so be sure to ask specifically if they are in-network with your plan so you don't end up paying more out of your pocket for the same care you would have for an in-network provider. read more

Apparently don't try and get any questions answered here. I was trying find out from them if they where certified for the sleep apnea appliance so my insurance would cover it, this was needes per my sleep speacialist. I was told by the phone help that she would have so one find out and contact me, never go a return call. Today I called back 5-9-17 and call was answered by phone help and as I got out what I was wanting she hung up on me. Yes, she hung up cause I heard the phone click back into its cradle. Very few "real" friendly people most of it is a fake politician smile and hand shake. This dental office is only out for money and sits on what they over charged you on and won't tell you that you have money on the books. I would not recommend this place to anyone! They don't stand behind their warranty when you have a crown put on and it wasn't sealed properly and you have decay under the crown and they want to still charge you thousands of dollars. This place is a joke. If you look at the decor inside you will see what all the patients paid for. I will NEVER go back and neither will my family! read more

5 yrs!! stole my money and never finished their work, what was done was completely sub-standard and non functional! They have a great marketing team, the problem is in the technical application. First off, the only people there who are licensed I believe are the dentist and hygienist, everyone else are inexperienced interns. So your basically going to a dental school without oversight and paying more than just money, your health and well-being! read more

Went in for a tooth that was bothering me...was told I needed a root canal. Got the procedure done, went home and the temp crown cracked right away. Called the office and was told it would be ok, just wait till the new crown came in. 2 wks later I show up for my new crown and he is angry because the skin grew back over and now he had to cut away the skin in order to fit the new crown. He literally jabbed the needle in my gums and I came out of the chair in pain! Then he told me to bite down on the crown to fit it and I heard a crack...I asked him what that was and he waved me off and said it was ok but he had an irritated look on his face. Needless to say, 6 mths later the new crown cracked and I went in to have it looked at and he said I needed ANOTHER root canal. At this point, I went to another dentist. In the end, I had to have the tooth pulled. I believe had I went to a different dentist, I would still have that tooth. I do not recommend this dentist AT ALL. read more

While the entire staff is personable and pleasant, the business practices were not. Everything appears to be about the money - the more they charge/collect, the more personable and pleasant they are :-( The facility is lovely, state-of-the-art, but they attempt to oversell unnecessary services. I couldn't in good conscience recommend this business. After dealing with them for about a year or two, I've postponed dental visits....now that I'm looking for a dentist, I remembered why/how I was displeased with this business. read more

This dentist is only out for the money as other reviewers have said. He said i needed another 5200.00 of work done. I felt uneasy about his estimate therefore went to get a second opinion. The second dentist said i needed no work done. I do not plan to go back to this ripoff place. I do not recommend Dossett dental either their crowns do not hold up. From the receptionist to Dr. McAnaney they all went above and beyond. I was not a patient of Dr. McAnaney's and had some troubles after seeing another Dentist. I was in so much pain on a Friday when I called their office. Sharon answered the phone and said "Yes, we can help you. Come on in." When I got there, everyone was so nice and eager to help relieve my pain. It was a Friday....most Dentist are closed on Friday and those who aren't usually will not add more to an already full schedule, but they did and I am truly grateful. read more

I spent 3 yrs with Dr. McAnany trying to get implant supported dentures. They changed staff 3 times during my time with them. I agree with other reviews about them not telling the truth. I had an implant that had bothered me for a year and eventually started to wiggle. When I asked Dr. McAnany about it moving so much he told me that bone bends! He also changes his mind on your treatment plan- he told me he was going to take out that implant and place another one and the next appointment he decided to leave the wiggling implant in my mouth and not add an additional one. I told him everything I read about implants said they shouldn't wiggle and he did X-ray and said it was fine. The implant fell out before my next visit. When I went in they told me they had an oral surgeon look at my X-ray and agreed it was ok. I had also been to another oral surgeon that told me - bone does not bend -at least not the bone my implant was in. I had the implant sitting in my hand the entire time they were trying to convince me nothing was wrong with it! I have been to other dentists, oral surgeons, and Prosthodontist in Sherman, McKinney, and Dallas and everyone of them have had patients from McAnany's office that had their teeth messed up and were having to fix his work. Several other offices and each one knew of McAnany's bad work. I don't want you to waste 3 yrs and get nowhere like I did! Find somewhere else to go if you are needing implants! read more
