I can't tell you how grateful I am to have found AW Construction…read more With the entire state of California on fire, and with smoke from the Camp fire seriously degrading the air quality on the Peninsula, I was anxious that my elderly parents had been unable to find filter masks anywhere--every store had sold out completely. A friend recommended trying to call a construction company, and although AW was 30 minutes away from closing up shop for the day, they picked up the phone, and immediately their contractors agreed to donate a few extra masks to my family, even offering to drive and meet us to pass the masks off after work had ended. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and professional, not at all bothered by going out of their way after hours to help absolute strangers in another town. I was so touched and blown away by their selflessness. I look forward to contracting them for work on my home. Thank you so much, AW! You've got a customer and fan for life.

I had chosen LUX Construction after finding them online through social media, they had many…read morepositive reviews and I liked that they had a specialization in ADU design and construction. This was one of the main reasons I chose them, the majority of the other contractors didn't understand or know the rules or regulations regarding ADU builds in San Jose. David and Shai were very experienced and knowledgeable on the details so it gave me confidence that they could do the job well. I ultimately chose them to the build also because of the value they were offering for the build. I knew I wanted to build as modern as possible but with a reasonable price that wasn't way high. I had many nice finishing's in mind that I knew might cost more but wanted to differentiate mine from all the other run of the mill ADU builds out there. Nadia, the architect gave me a simple and modern design and was always quick to help make any changes along the way before getting the plans approved. Delphine did as much as she could to advise me on the interior finishing but left most main design decisions up to me as I have a particular taste. I would also like to mention Shai for working hard to make sure he could answer all my questions and concerns along the way, he works very hard and is a busy person handling multiple projects. I'm a believer that building faster isn't necessarily better, as I was particular on details along the way to make sure certain things turned out the way I intended. I learned a lot during the entire process and building a ADU is a long process that you need to be patient for. Good things take time and shouldn't be rushed. I am thrilled with the completed result and I would recommend them for any ADU Construction!

The kitchen and bathrooms looked well done, and that gave us confidence to reach out to them when we were ready for our own project. Our remodel involved converting one living area into a full guest suite, adding a powder room, replacing patio doors, changing the master bedroom windows, and removing a brick fireplace and pillar. There was also structural work involved, so it was important for us to work with someone we could trust. Mike and Kristina were easy to work with throughout the project. They explained the process clearly, handled the design and permitting, and kept things moving. Kristina's updates with photos were especially helpful because we always knew what was happening. We visited the house during construction many times, and the worksite was always clean and organized. The crew was friendly and professional, and it was clear they took pride in their work. The project was completed on time, and we love the way the space turned out. We would gladly recommend Adria Design & Build to anyone looking for a reliable remodeling team that communicates well and does quality work.

They delivered a complete transformation -- including a kitchen relocation, removing walls, updated bathrooms, and modern finishes throughout. My home is now modern and clean. Important note: MK Construction is not a full-service design provider. You will need a third-party designer if you want full interior design or architectural plans. However, they excel at functional design guidance, and that added tremendous value to my remodel. Their recommendations included: * Choosing the right vanity sizes to ensure proper spacing with toilets in the bathrooms * Selecting a waterfall countertop design that doesn't restrict seating * Optimizing placement of fixtures and appliances for daily use * Soundproofing to reduce noise across the home * floorboards design that matched the interior door designs. It's the little things like these that make a home pop and Mike made sure to ask these questions to ensure installation and design was on point. Their workmanship and reliability were impressive. They corrected tile issues proactively, replaced outdated electrical outlets, and ensured each material was installed correctly. Mike was often on the job site daily either directly workers or doing the work himself. So I was able to check in with him on a daily basis with clear communication and consistent on-site updates. I always felt safe, respected, and supported. As a woman managing the job site on my own many days, this was a critical factor in choosing a contractor I could trust. For anyone seeking a high-quality Bay Area remodel contractor who communicates clearly, delivers excellent work, and treats clients with integrity, I strongly recommend MK Construction Group.

We met with a few different contractors for quotes, some offered slightly cheaper pricing but after speaking with them, we knew Marlon and his team were the right choice. When you're having a project done in your home, trust is everything, and we trust them 100%. Even during heavy rain, they were able to keep working by setting up a tarp tent over the work area, which kept things clean and minimized disruption to our neighbors. This time, we had our whole house painted, our entrance door replaced, and our porch tiled. Once again, they delivered excellent results. Our new entrance door looks beautiful, and the paint job is phenomenal. I feel like we have a brand-new home. We will definitely hire them again for future renovations, no doubt! They are fast, meticulous, and truly trustworthy.

Clearly it was going to be a very large - and, of course, completely unexpected - project. We felt a ton of pressure to find the right balance of cheap, fast, and - most importantly, this being a major structural wall of our home - good. Given how critical and involved the job was, we needed to have confidence every step of the way. From the get-go, Marlon provided that. From the initial estimate, it was clear that J O Builder doesn't cut corners and wants to do the job right. Where some of the other contractors proposed patchwork solutions that would likely have resulted in having the same problem again in five or ten years. Ignacio from J O estimated a more comprehensive job that would avoid that. J O isn't just interested in securing a job but rather taking care of your home as well as if it were their own. Marlon, Ozny, Daniel, and the rest of the team were always incredibly responsive and understood our concerns immediately. They were able to talk us through any concerns we had throughout the job and proactively gave us a heads up on what was coming next so we were never surprised by anything. When the job was finished, our wall was in better shape than ever, with better insulation and a clean facade inside and out, as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile we know it's built well and will last a long time, and we had confidence at every step of the way. We'll be reaching out to Marlon again for all our future jobs. If you want your job done right, I strongly recommend that you do too.

The first involved a full kitchen / dining room remodel down to studs, removing a couple walls and adding support beams, replacing and releveling the entire floor on that level and coordinating installation of an island and cabinetry with electricians, plumbers, inspectors, etc. The house was originally built in 1925, so lots of fun surprises to be found! Dan provided information around what was found, what our options would be with related costs and made the updates / fixes as we decided. All was done very quickly and professionally and the work was completed on schedule - and in time for my wife's birthday, which was even more important! Our second project involved prepping our living room for a set of built in shelves. Seemed a simple enough task to start, but old house and all... We had a small storage area that we semi-used above the room that was shown to be woefully inadequate once fully exposed and was rebuilt since we had the chance. We now have a solid new storage area with updated lighting and a beautiful new living room! If / when we have our next project, we will definitely be giving Dan a call.

Cost of appliances and timelines have always been communicated to me ahead of time. Most recently they repaired extensive damage done by a water leak. Damage extended across three floors all the way to the basement and ruined my heater. TBS worked with my insurance and the city to make sure all the work was done up to the latest standards. They tested for mold and asbestos and replaced all the damaged structures and appliances. Multiple crews worked together to complete the work and I was very pleased with the results. I highly recommend their services. There were couple of small issues that were taken care of promptly after a quick phone call.

We hired Atlas General Construction to renovate our kitchen. This was our first major home project,…read moreso we wanted a contractor who could guide us through the process. Our project manager was Erick. He explained options clearly and helped us think through tradeoffs. I appreciated his suggestions throughout the project, including the decision to replace the windows. That change was not something we had planned, but it made a real difference in the finished space. The crew was well staffed and productive. When they were on site, progress was steady and visible. The team also handled uncertainty well. At the start, it was not clear how the kitchen exhaust hood would be vented. They worked through the constraints and found a solution that significantly improved airflow and met code. If we raised a concern or felt something missed the mark, it was addressed quickly. Change orders felt fair and were discussed before work moved forward. The project passed San Francisco city inspection on the first visit, which gave us confidence in the quality of the work. Overall, Atlas General Construction delivered a solid kitchen renovation and provided the kind of guidance we needed as first-time remodel clients.
