Several years ago I went to Dr. Zhang for a crown on one of my molars. I have three other crowns in my mouth that are 10-15 years old and have had zero problems with those, done by other dentists. Granted, I did not go back for checkups after Dr. Zhang's crown, but neither did I get care for the other three. After two years, my molar with Dr. Zhang's crown broke in half from decay and I had to have the tooth removed. I consider myself to be a pretty reasonable person, and I can only attribute the failure of the crown to cheap materials and/or faulty workmanship, given the history of the other three. That said, that is only my opinion, since I am not a dental expert. I wish Dr. Zhang the best in her practice but absolutely cannot provide a positive recommendation. read more

An almost painless dentist, meticulous in her examinations (finds small problems early), she really focuses on the details herself. Dr. Zhang and her staff are the best in the business. Dr. Zhang personally does each cleaning, showing a level of personal care that I've never witnessed in another Dentist. She remembers all of her patients like they're friends, asking after family and social matters. She is meticulous in her dental work, she cares about her patients and she is fair in all other respects, like prices etc. Her assistant is also wonderful and caring The office is also very nice and also very efficient. I just had my final Invisalign appointment with Dr Zhang and left the office tearing up. My husband and I started seeing her based on recs from coworkers and we both loved her and her office. I started Invisalign with them and moved to Southern California about halfway through the process. Dr Zhang made it as easy as possible for me to continue treatment from afar. I can't remember how long we've been going to Dr. Zhang but it's probably around 13-14 years at this point. My husband, daughter, and I love going there as she and her staff (Marilyn and Meggie) are incredibly friendly, professional, responsive, and thorough. I've also had to call her in a pinch when we had emergency dental issues (ex. oral thrush, pain in the mouth, etc.) and Dr. Zhang has been wonderful and reassuring. Five stars for several reasons... -most advanced equipment of any dentist I've been to. I recently went to visit Dr. Zhang and was a bit nervous as I had not been to the dentist in quite a while. I had the same dentist for over 15 years but when my insurance changed I was forced to switch. Not knowing what dentist to choose I went to Yelp for some help. I saw that Dr. Zhang had quite a few 5-star yelp reviews so I chose her. I was super anxious because it had been awhile as I said before. My experience was wonderful from my initial phone call to set up the appointment as they proactively checked my insurance. The whole process of getting the exam, x-rays and my teeth cleaned was amazing. The staff was great, I was very comfortable, Dr. Zhang was very informative and more importantly very gentle! I'll be back in 6 months for my second cleaning! I definitely recommend Dr. Zhang dental services! read more

My extended family has been going to the same dentist for more than 10 years. You can say I was in a committed relationship. Recently, my parents-in-law moved in with us. They need dentist who speaks Manderin. In my search, I came cross Dr. Zhang. I did the unthinkable. Without telling my dentist, I went to Dr. Zhang for a general cleaning. I even let her X-ray me. I was so impressed, and my mouth felt so good afterwards, that I switchef dentist! 6 months later, my wife and daughter, my parents, the entire US office of Project Goth, Inc.went to Dr. Zhang. Unfortunately mt parents-in-law still do not have a stable dentist. Who would have guessed. Dr. Zhang, speaks no Manderin, Shanghainese, no Cantonese, no Fujinese. No Chinese of any sort. Unlike the Sienfeld episode, at least this Dr. I would have taken off half a star for having a name like Zhang but not speaking any Chinese. Does it not sound misleading to you? But this dentistry is outstanding. The facility is outragously clean. The office manager is very curtious and helpful. The doctor an assistant work like one. They are so efficient that few words are spoken between them when you are under the spot light. You feel four busy hands, hear some suction sound, a little pinch between tooth, intruments passed before your eyes...then you are done. This is truly a 5-star dentistry, if you do not mind speaking English ;-) read more

Dr Zhang is a VERY knowledgeable dentist with an exceptional bedside manner. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wishes to have an honest opinion, the use of high-tech equipment, a visit in a clean office, and come in contact with very nice assistants/office workers. My past dental history is extensive with 2 surgeries and even a grandfather who was an orthodontist. At this point, I thought I knew most everything. However, she answered questions I didn't even ask...but was nice to know. She also found the problem to my pain which another dentist in the bay area could not find (he also told me I needed to have my filling replaced, which she figured through her small in mouth camera that I did not) Go to her if you wish to have an honest opinion and clean teeth. :) read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Zhang's for nearly a decade. Both of my children are now patients as well and we've all had very positive experiences. Dr. Zhang has the most incredibly small hands, and she's very gentle. I also referred my sister-in-law who remarked she's the most gentle dentist she's ever encountered. Dr. Zhang has pulled numerous teeth for my son and he's never once complained. (Helps that she offers fun movies on her state of the art technology!) She and her staff are great with children and even offer coloring books in the reception area of their new location. She is willing to take evening and weekend appointments for pressing matters and was accommodating when my husband required consistent additional cleanings. She takes the time to properly prepare her patients and has an excellent bedside manner. The staff is exceptional and always follows through professionally.
