Love the conversations. I will definitely be going back. The owner Stephanie does the best silk presses.

Serious concerns regarding delayed care and threatened cancellation for a minor…read more My minor child was evaluated at Southwest Michigan Dermatology, and a prescription was written during the visit. However, after the clinic became aware that my child has Medicaid insurance, the medication was not processed in a timely manner, despite the visit already being completed and treatment initiated. In addition, I was informed that my child's upcoming appointment would be canceled if a new referral was not provided, creating further delay in care for a minor patient after services had already begun. This was extremely concerning and caused unnecessary stress for both my child and our family. This experience raised serious concerns about continuity of care, ethical standards, and equitable treatment of patients based on insurance type. Insurance status should never interfere with timely access to medically indicated treatment, particularly for minors. I am sharing this experience so other parents - especially those using Medicaid or government insurance - can make informed decisions and ask clear questions before seeking care at this practice. When a pediatric patient's care is delayed or placed at risk due to administrative or insurance - related issues after treatment has already been initiated, it raises serious concerns regarding adherence to basic pediatric medical ethics and obligation to prioritize a child's medical needs above all non - clinical factors.

Per usual, Amber was quite thorough and kind. I'd go here just for her - she catches EVERYTHING and I completely trust her with my skin health. She asked if I wanted her to mask (thank you!); the nurse did not. They were running about 20 minutes late, which was odd since I had first appointment. I have not used their website, so cannot remark on that. Appointment confirmation was via text.

You never see a doctor. In case you have a problem for which you are instructed to call immediately, you leave a message and it won't be returned timely. I ended up going to the ER to address the severe pain problem; I later was told Dermatology Center doesn't prescribe pain pills. Then told me to take Ibuprofen but I can't take NSAIDs so they didn't check my chart. I have a big crater left by the procedure so can't go anywhere else to finish the process. The procedure was done in Battle Creek office. Two biopsy's had to be done in Kazoo because the first was too shallow and gave an incorrect result.
