The Aroma Labs is locally owned and operated. It was a really cool experience to go into a place and make different things that range from body scrubs, lotions, and fragrance. I attended a class through Yelp and the owner guided us into understanding the different oils and smells. After learning about them, we got to smell each one and rank them from what we liked and what we didn't like. After that, the staff mixed our favorite scents together. Once that was complete we could put them in scrubs, lotions, fragrance bottles, and more. I went with fragrance because I really wanted a new perfume. What is cool is that they store your favorite scent so you can come back or hint to your partner for a gift. I loved my smell and have been wearing it every day. I will be going back to try the lotions and more. Overall: I give The Aroma Labs 5 stars and would recommend the classes and products.

Date afternoon in downtown Kalamazoo! Appointment easily made online to learn about how to make our custom scents. Carly was great at answering our many questions and was so friendly. We watched her mix our custom scents and it was so interesting to watch it all come together. We had so much fun. We will definitely be back. My only comment is that I wish there was a personalized label to put on our creations that we could list the scents/date. Just a wish.

Never have I loved through a year in which the hashtag #treatyourself felt so important. Aroma Labs is a sublime spot to treat yourself (and/or someone you love) to a pampering perfume experience. When you arrive, you're invited to unload your belongings and line up the wash your hands with her trademark shower souffle. It's ax exfoliating cleanser and moisturizer in one and you instantly feel silky and brand new. The owner walks you through the scent creation process, which begins with sniffing each of about 50 scent notes from 4 basic groups. Once you've selected your favorite individual scent notes, she invites you to try layering three different ones on a scent stick. Each guest makes three different scent mashups, and when you've selected your favorite combination, you can decidewhich products you'd like to infuse with your trademark scent. There's tons of options, ranging from very lovely car infusers with a cork top embedded in a lovely metallic design to sugar scrubs and lotions. All the products are gender neutral, And the few times I've been here both the guys and girls alike really had a great time. My friends and I had the best time smelling each other's signature scents and co-opting some of our friends' fragrance combos. It also took us forever to decide which mediums we wanted to scent. I wound up going with a sugar scrub and a shower souffle, and I got myself a replacement vial for my travel perfume bottle. You can book a private class, and keep it to the folks in your inner circle. Master Warren when you aren't actively sniffing the sense or eating or drinking. Pro tip: if you bring some food to enjoy with your group, make sure you wait to open it until everyone's selected their scents. My friend brought a really fragrant dip, and it took us a good 10 minutes to re-climatize our noses after he opened the container.

Serious concerns regarding delayed care and threatened cancellation for a minor…read more My minor child was evaluated at Southwest Michigan Dermatology, and a prescription was written during the visit. However, after the clinic became aware that my child has Medicaid insurance, the medication was not processed in a timely manner, despite the visit already being completed and treatment initiated. In addition, I was informed that my child's upcoming appointment would be canceled if a new referral was not provided, creating further delay in care for a minor patient after services had already begun. This was extremely concerning and caused unnecessary stress for both my child and our family. This experience raised serious concerns about continuity of care, ethical standards, and equitable treatment of patients based on insurance type. Insurance status should never interfere with timely access to medically indicated treatment, particularly for minors. I am sharing this experience so other parents - especially those using Medicaid or government insurance - can make informed decisions and ask clear questions before seeking care at this practice. When a pediatric patient's care is delayed or placed at risk due to administrative or insurance - related issues after treatment has already been initiated, it raises serious concerns regarding adherence to basic pediatric medical ethics and obligation to prioritize a child's medical needs above all non - clinical factors.

Per usual, Amber was quite thorough and kind. I'd go here just for her - she catches EVERYTHING and I completely trust her with my skin health. She asked if I wanted her to mask (thank you!); the nurse did not. They were running about 20 minutes late, which was odd since I had first appointment. I ended up going to the ER to address the severe pain problem; I later was told Dermatology Center doesn't prescribe pain pills. Then told me to take Ibuprofen but I can't take NSAIDs so they didn't check my chart. I have a big crater left by the procedure so can't go anywhere else to finish the process. The procedure was done in Battle Creek office. Two biopsy's had to be done in Kazoo because the first was too shallow and gave an incorrect result.
