I drive past a good 10-12 auto service shops to get here because they've offered me same day service every single time when other places ask for weeks to schedule an appt. Added bonus: the Lehigh Valley mall is at a walking distance, making it easy to kill time while work is done.

*UPDATE ON 10/1/2026 FROM ORIGINAL POST ON 9/30/2026* Today…read moreI received an email response from my review from last evening, posted below. I was asked if I would prefer a phone call or a follow up email to resolve the issue. I responded asking for a direct phone call and provided my contact information. My response took place @ 7:30 AM EST. I heard NOTHING!! CRICKETS!! To boot, they chose to remove my post from last evening. For transparency I will repost my complaint every day to make sure it's seen by the general public. This location consists of nothing but crooks! I then received an additional email @ 6:47 EST this evening. Again asking for my home address. Are these people CRAZY?? In what world am I going to provide my home address? Be careful when patronizing this establishment. Original post from 9/30/2026 below: *LONG REVIEW BUT WORTH READING* After years of NOT having service on my vehicle with this establishment because of terrible service, price gouging, and repeat flat tires after service, I decided to take my car in for state inspection being told that they have "turned a new leaf" with new management and mechanics. It was another horrible decision on my part. I was told to drop my car off at 8AM and they would have it inspected by the end of the day. To make it easier, I dropped it off the previous evening during normal business hours and confirmed that the inspection would take place the following day. This was confirmed in person by th "Manager". At 4:30PM, the day of service, I called to check on the status. I gave them the information of my vehicle and was immediately told that the "inspection machine" was down and asked if anyone had contacted me. I said no and I was told the inspection would not be completed. Please keep in mind that I rearranged my entire day to be without a car. I was obviously upset since I then needed to find an alternative to have this service completed at another time with another supplier. When I arrived to retrieve my car the service tech explained that they had no idea why my vehicle was there and didn't know who to contact about it. My question was, if you didn't know why the vehicle was on property why would the first thing out of your mouth during the phone conversation be "our inspection machine is down." AND!!!...How do you not know why a car is there in the first place? The "sleeve" had my key, insurance and registration cards and a work ticket that they brought in to the customer area from the shop. Keep in mind, the person I worked with when dropping the car off was the "Manager". If the Manager doesn't know what he's doing how can he "Manage" the employees? The blind is certainly leading the blind! This location is just another example of horrible customer service, no courtesy for their customers time, and complete lack of decency. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Unfortunately for me, I trusted the words of an acquaintance and gave this organization another shot because the location was convenient. If I could leave a review with zero stars that's where I would be. I wish luck to anyone using their service but be prepared for complete disappointment with a very high price tag.

I've lived in multiple areas over the last few years: Wyomissing, PA; Boston, MA; West Hartford, CT; Ardmore, PA. I make it a point to always get work on my car done by Lee or someone at his shop. I cannot tell you the amount of times I went to a mechanic near where I lived and felt the price was a bit high, and then went to Lee who works with you to see what you need. Even if I don't need an oil change, I'll get it done early when visiting the parents for a long weekend or holiday because they are that good and that's how much I trust him. For example, this one time I went to a mechanic in Wyomissing and he said I need four new tires. He almost didn't let me leave unless I got new ones. I went to Lee and he said only two were needed and the other two could wait until the fall (before winter). There's no guarantee I'd come back to Lee again in the fall to get those other two tires done. This was just one of many, many examples. He isn't about money. He's about trust. I cannot stress enough how honest he is, especially for a mechanic that sometimes get bad reputations. My suggestion: Go to Lee and get your car done. If he says you need something, he really means it. There's no buyers remorse from him or wondering afterwards if he was just trying to sell me.

Midas off MacArthur rd in Allentown I believe deserves a rating of a 1 star and would give a zero…read moreif that was possible. I am writing this review to warn others about the incredibly unprofessional, deceptive, and exploitative experience I had at the Midas on MacArthur Road in Allentown. I brought my car here in early March 2026 for a battery and charging issue. I spoke with the supervisor, Rob Klotz, and was transparent about my limited budget. Rob explicitly promised he could "work something out" regarding payment, even suggesting they had allowed previous customers to take their vehicles home and make payments. I trusted him with a car I have maintained since 2016. Instead of addressing the battery/alternator issue I requested, they insisted on a $2,400 "tune-up" (plugs, coils, hoses). I felt pressured into this, as they made it sound essential to the car's operation. When I could not pay the $2,400 upfront, the "flexible payment" options suddenly vanished. I was then harassed with threats of my car being towed, causing me immense stress and leading me to believe I had lost the vehicle entirely. Four months later, my sister spotted my car still sitting in the Midas parking lot. When I called to inquire, Rob Klotz claimed they had removed the parts they installed. He then offered to put them back in for a reduced price of $765. In an attempt to finally get my car back, I paid this amount, plus the cost of a new battery. The condition of my car upon return was appalling: *My personal items were ransacked, items were torn off the mirror, and the passenger seat was left with a noticeable rip. *The car now has a dangerous wobble when driving that was never there before. *The tires were improperly inflated to a hazardous level. **^**To make matters worse! within less than 24 hours of Midas "fixing" my car, the new battery Rob Klotz told me to go buy, died completely, and the car broke down again! *When my boyfriend called Rob Klotz to report the failure, he showed zero concern, offered no solutions, and was entirely dismissive. ***********^*************^***********^************^****** This shop failed miserably to diagnose the original problem, misled me about payment options, damaged my property, and returned the car in worse condition than when I dropped it off and if offering no compensation or assistance. I feel completely exploited. Do yourself a huge favor and maybe take your business anywhere else.

WORSE SERVICE EVER!!!!…read more In 2019 I took my car to get 4 new tires. They wouldn't sell me the brand I wanted and up-sold me to BF Goodrich stating they are a much better tire. Well two years and only about 12,000-15,000 miles later and the passenger front tire has a bubble and the passenger rear tire looks like it has the beginning of dry rot. When I initially complained they offered me two free oil changes, however the last time I went there for an oil change it was nor in the system and I was charged. I used to trust this shop but no more. I suggest you go somewhere else for service!!! Chuckainpa62
