After doing so, he took the time to sit down with me and go over it. It is somewhat serious, and we found a plan to treat it and relieve the pain, and it feels good to be understood. He also gave me things to do at home, such as fitting my shoe with a heel lift to fix the issue. It is the best care here, extremely impressed, and they are in-network and accept all my insurance.

The electrical therapy, heat and manipulation helped me feel better in only three visits. The staff was nice and personable and everything was clean and timely. The not so positive: One of the male workers (not the Youseffi's who were both very sweet) used high pressure sales tactics to try and convince me that I had subluxations and early stage arthritis that required a treatment plan which involved coming three times a week for 10 weeks and would have cost me $1,000. I'm young, healthy and had no other issues outside of the shoulder pain. I've also had x-rays done for other things and the spine curvature he showed me on his screen wasn't present in any of them. He was really pushy and wouldn't stop pressuring me to come in and schedule all of the appointments even though my initial pain was completely fixed. If you come here and get a shocking x-ray and pressured into frequent visits I'd get a second opinion before signing up. Overall: I would consider returning because they really did help me feel better and the Youssefi's were really kind. However I would avoid the male sales guy and would definitely firmly shut down the sales tactics which were kind of concerning in a doctors office.

A few years ago, my case worsened as I started experiencing infrequent seizures, which completely changed my medical situation. Because of this new development, one of the neck adjustments treatments actually triggered a bad reaction and sent me to the ER. Dr. Reza was proactive, taking cautionary measures to adapt his treatment plan and change his technique to safely accommodate these new neurological changes. My last visit at Connecticut Ave. NW office was a good routine adjustment. While I am not healed yet, every visit safely relieves the massive tension and build-up numbness. I don't write many reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with Metropolitan Headache…read moreand Spine Center and Dr. Reza. To be completely honest, I'm still a little mad at myself. Years ago, I originally wanted to see Dr. Reza, but instead I listened to several medical doctors who recommended back surgery. I went through with the surgery hoping it would solve my problems. While it provided a small amount of relief, most of the pain remained and eventually became even worse. I was dealing with constant lower back pain that affected nearly every part of my daily life. On top of that, I had numbness and shooting pain that traveled down my left arm all the way to my elbow. Driving was miserable. I have a 1 hour and 20 minute commute to work, and by the time I arrived I would be wincing in pain and constantly shifting my body around trying to find some relief. When I finally came to Metropolitan Headache and Spine Center, Dr. Reza took the time to listen to what I was experiencing and identify the areas causing the most trouble. The results have honestly been remarkable. Not only did he address the constant pain in my lower back, but the numbness and shooting pain down my left arm also disappeared. Today, I can make that long commute to work without constantly adjusting my position or counting down the minutes until I can get out of the car. My quality of life has improved significantly. The biggest endorsement I can give is this: after seeing my results, my wife now comes here as well. That's how much confidence I have in Dr. Reza and his team. Do I still have some discomfort every once in a blue moon? Sure. But it is nothing compared to what I was dealing with before. The difference is night and day. I'm not saying this is the answer for everyone, but I am saying it worked for me. If you're struggling with back pain, neck pain, headaches, or nerve pain, I would strongly recommend at least having a conversation with Dr. Reza and his team to see if they can help. And if you happen to watch the videos on their page, you might even find me on there. Fair warning - there are definitely some loud cracks ;-) Thank you, Dr. Reza and the entire staff, for helping me get back to living my life.

I told her I would think about it and let her know if I wanted to move forward. Later that day they asked if I could come back to speak with the doctor because he didn't do the standard check in. I declined and asked for a phone call instead. I spoke with Dr. Oshalim (friendly man) and he explained options for my dustmite allergies. Dr. Phillips was great, attentive, timely, knowledgeable. Before I left we set up the appointment for the ablations. I gave my insurance and asked when they would have it verified. They said at least a week before the procedure and that they would let me know. They did not. I called three days before, nothing was done, two days before, nothing was done, the day of, nothing was done. I was asked to sign a waiver and pay for the procedure or I would have to reschedule. No explanation for why the insurance was not cleared. They said they would work on it and let me know. It has now been more than 4 weeks since I was supposed to have the procedure and when I call, I get the same guy, Zach, who knows nothing, clearly could care less and simply tells me there is nothing he knows or can do. I then get a call from a third party who can barely speak English telling me she is in the authorization department and the insurance denied the procedure and that I should provide the doctor with the needed documents...what documents?! This is the absolute worst medical experience I have ever had. No one is accountable, nor do they care or are they helpful, not honest or follow through with what they said they would do. I may as well fly back to my doctor out of state where they care, do their job and are kind and caring. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT and the practice should be embarrassed to provide such poor standard of service.
