I called the next day and their phone system used an automated AI response initially, but I was then rerouted and able to speak with a service person. They dispatched a technician, diagnosed my issues, sent quote estimates to my email, followed up with a confirmed booking, and came out within the next day with the proper part to service my broken system. Before the serviceman arrived, I received text updates with pictures of who to expect and with their estimated time of arrival. The communication, timeliness and efficient service provided by Dunn was exceptional. They charge a standard assessment fee which is factored into the overall cost of service. They contacted us promptly after the Request For Quote went out to all contractors in the area, and showed sincere enthusiasm for the work, even though our project was very small (it was to come out to Alabaster to fix a front porch light fixture, which had been ripped off my elderly mother's house by 'porch thieves' who had targeted her). They came out to my mother's home, were respectful of her property and her privacy, inspected the work to be done, gave me a prompt estimate of the costs (and were willing to discuss the cost with me on the phone as well). Then, they went out the next day and completed the work, and billed me exactly what had been quoted. The work was professionally done with solid competence regarding electrical issues. Our smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector near the home office began chirping. We did everything we…read moreknew to do, but the chirping would stop for a day and start back up again. We found out through the web that it was at end-of-life and needed to be replaced. The problem was that the detector was wired in and neither my husband nor me are electricians. I found Jackson Electric and decided to call them. Mr. Steven Jackson was very professional and let me know that he would contact me the next day to schedule an appointment. Around lunchtime the next day, I got a call from Michael, who said they would be coming in 30 minutes. I had a training to do, but made adjustments so he could come. Three guys with masks arrived to find out what needed to be done. When I showed them what was going on and showed them that I had the replacement, they did the work in about 5 minutes. The workers were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and the price was very reasonable and I was pleased the chirping had stopped. Unfortunately, about 3 days later, our other smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector began chirping. I called Jackson Electric again because of the great service we received the first time. He told me that he would contact me to schedule an appointment. The next day, Michael called and said, "We are in your area - can we come now?" Unfortunately, I was unavailable. Michael said, "No problem. Please call Mr. Jackson to reschedule." I tried several times to get in touch with Mr. Jackson to reschedule with no luck. I left a voicemail with times that I was available to help with his scheduling. I left text messages to try and reschedule. My husband called him a few times to try and reschedule.
