I have so much fun training in this gym. Serena, the coach, always challenges me in a positive way. This gym is my happy place.

I was in Big Bear for just a couple of days, but wanted to get in a workout. I had not done crossfit before, but Serena was so delightful on the phone, I thought I'd try it. Serena was a great coach, really patience but still pushed me. The other women at the 5AM class were warm, welcoming, funny & impressive! I'd highly recommend this gym and know when I'm back in Big Bear, I will drop in to visit Stellar CrossFit again. read more

One of the most welcoming gyms I've ever dropped into & I've dropped into a lot. Serena, the owner, is super knowledgeable and encouraging, and the community is freakin' awesome! I would stay in town longer just to workout here. One of the best! read more

If you enjoy spirited competition, intense physical challenges and a varied workout, Stellar CrossFit is it !!The owner and coaches are amazing beautiful people. The team support keeps me coming back and I love the feeling of accomplishing things I once feared. It's a killer, but it works. I have been involved with fitness for over 25 years in different capacities. What it all boils down to is "does it work for you?"!! I have personally never seen a more effective training method. When people say that CrossFit hurts people, it is a statement made out of ignorance. CrossFit is an in-animate object--it does not posses the ability to hurt (or do anything else, for that matter). When people get hurt or injured, it is usually their own fault for a wide variety of reasons ranging from inflated ego that won't allow them to alter a prescribed workout to fit their fitness level, to not listening to instruction from their trainers. read more

What's even tougher than CrossFit? CrossFit at altitude! But Coach Serena helped scale the workout for me and she and the rest of the class were really welcoming. Dropped in to the 5 am class after a couple days of skiing, and it's a great facility, great community, and really great workout. The WOD board and all the equipment was so organized, too. Definitely plan to come in every time I'm in Big Bear if I can. Thanks! read more

I've been a Crossfitter since 2010 and have trained with many different coaches and athletes over the last decade. Whether you are new to Crossfit or fitness or a veteran to CF, I highly recommend Stellar Crossfit. My daughter, Ashley has been encouraging me to join crossfit for the last several years. Being a Crossfit coach and a personal trainer down in the Escondido/San Diego area, naturally, she was my go to gal for a recommendation for a great place to work out. Being raised in Big Bear and dropping in to work out on many occasions, she recommended Stellar Crossfit to me. Right off the bat and from the very first day, I was welcomed by all of the trainers and athletes. I have some experience with global gyms. I am, however somewhat new to CF and I came in way out of shape. All of the Trainers are Great! Serena, Lanae, Kristi and Jesse. Every one of them are very knowledgeable and very patient with teaching this newbie the movements and range of motion. With that said, they are also very encouraging, motivating and sometimes tough and will push you farther than you think you can go while at the same time taking into consideration your abilities (or injuries) and scaling work outs to your fitness level. I've been with Stellar for over 4 months now and have seen tremendous gains in my endurance and weight training. You should see my before and after pics! :P read more

Came here on 10/26/17. Big Bear hosted the Spartan Beast and Sprint this weekend, so my fellows Spartans and I dropped in for a WOD with the hopes of getting a great workout while trying to get acclimated to the thin air of Big Bear. We were not disappointed! Coach Serena had a doozy of a workout planned and was amazing with her instruction and support. She was tough, but fair, but tough. Everything you want in a CrossFit coach. I was the last one to finish my WOD, but her encouragement did not let me give up until I was done. All other regulars there were equally encouraging. Will definitely go back next time I am up there! read more

I have been doing Crossfit for nearly 4 years and have dropped in at boxes from Monterey to San Diego to Phoenix AZ and I can tell u that Stellar Crossfit tops them all. Serena and Erin really make a new guy feel welcome as does the rest of the class. I joined their 6am class for three days this week and all the folks there made me feel at home. Not only was their hospitality exceptional but their programming was challenging and the coaching phenomenal. Thank you Serena and Erin, I look forward to the next time I vacation in Big Bear. read more

Wonderful visit to Stellar Crossfit. I have been a part of Crossfit for close to 10 years and helped manage two different boxes. I know what makes a great affiliate, and I know what doesn't. I have come across some good boxes, and some bad ones. Stellar Crossfit hits the mark. Terrific box and the focus on coaching technique was fantastic. Positive attitude, cares about their members, and humble. If you plan to visit Big Bear and get in a WOD, this is the ONLY box you should visit! Thanks Serena and Stellar Crossfit for a great visit. read more

I have been doing CrossFit for many years, and have been to many boxes, and this is by far one of my favorite ones!! I come up to big bear often and drop in whenever I am here, but still wish it was closer!! The owner Serena is amazing and so so sweet! I have had many great experiences here but today by far beats any of them! I messaged her seeing if I could drop in to do 18.2, and she immediately responded and said of course when can you come!? An hour later she was judging me and cheering me on!! They are not only loyal to their own members but to drop ins as well! I would recommend this gym over and over again! Thanks again for the continuous hospitality Stellar CrossFit!! read more
