The display cases had a great variety so I know sticking to my plan was going to be challenging. Grabbing a couple things and go sure was hard! They had some specialty donuts on display and man did they look killer! I didn't know what they were specifically but they looked delicious! All of them nicely decorated and garnished. But, with much restraint, I got a big apple fritter for my husband and some donut holes for the grandmas. My mom didn't let me grandma have any donut holes so I had to take one for the team and enjoy them for her. They were so good! They were soft and tasty. Every donut hole was nicely glazed. It's amazing you can polish off 7 donut holes and not realize that you had that many. They are so dainty that you don't realize how fast you're eating them. Each one was great! The gal that worked today was really sweet. I did take a bite of my husband's apple fritter and it was tasty as well! My husband also enjoyed it. My other grandma enjoyed her donut holes. She too didn't have a beard time eating 7 of them. I'm happy I stopped in today. Looking forward to coming back and grabbing more treats real soon.

Today my sister and I visited the Nektar at the village in Meridian. This is not our first time…read morecoming to the shop and we always had good experiences thus far. Today I ordered 2 juices that's were exactly the same, which contained only orange and pineapple. The cashier asked if we would like agave in the juice to which I said no thank you only the orange and pineapple. I also made it a point to ask if there are any additive such as milk or syrups in the drink, to which she said no only orange and pineapple juice(I asked this because my sister has a medical diagnosis that only allows her to eat and drink certain foods without any additives, preservatives or artificial sweeteners). I paid $31 plus a tip and we sat down to wait for our drinks. Our order was called and we got our drinks placed the straws in them and walked out. On our way to the car my sister tried her juice and says it tasted like orange juice that you get at the store(she can tell the difference due to us having a juice press at home and her making her own juices) I tried mine and sure enough it tasted like bottled orange juice that you would find at a grocery store(which she cannot have due to her medical condition). She turned around and walked back in to ask if they used orange juice out of the can or if it was freshly squeezed like advertised on their building and website. The cashier said that it was poured out of a jug but the pineapple juice was freshly squeezed and they ran out of oranges that is why they had to use orange juice form a jug. My sister then told the girls at the front that she cannot have orange juice out of the jug due to additive and sweeteners and asked if she could return them or get a refund, to which they quickly remade the drinks with freshly squeezed orange and freshly squeezed pineapple... One of the other girls that was working there came up and apologized and told my sister that the girl that made the juice is still learning?? I do appreciate that they did remake the drinks with oranges that they found but my biggest concern is that it is advertised to be fresh and clean juice. That is a serious health concern especially if the costumer is looking for specifically fresh whole produce due to health concerns. I think that the shop should be more honest about what they use in their "clean" and "freshly squeezed" juices/smoothies.

I wish they had a low-carb option, because even the sugar free is pretty loaded with sugar, but I guess you don't go here for health food. I appreciate La Creme and am glad they exist. It's super weird that there are four frozen yogurt shops in like a 2 mile radius and almost nothing else in Boise, but I guess frozen yogurt went the way of low-rise jeans.

I stopped in today to grab some gift cards as party favors for my MIL's birthday party. I really wish I remembered the sweet girl's name that helped me. It's been a couple days since I bought the cards. I think it's Emma but I could be wrong. Whoever she is, she's great! She got me all taken care of with the gift cards. I got 11 cards at 5 bucks a piece. I thought it would be a fun gift! A scoop of ice cream from Stella's is always a win. The gift cards were a hit! My family is very excited to get together again and grab a cool treat sometime soon. Stella's always delivers such good customer service. I'm happy I got to check out this location. I don't know if the gal working needs a little more training on the espresso machine and how drinks are made but it wouldn't be a bad idea since this joint promotes itself as a coffee shop. The shop itself is great! The reviews on the ice cream are all the same, delicious. But the few coffee reviews are on the same page as me, disappointing. I ordered a cappuccino. Maybe their ice cream is good but the cappuccino was a hot foamy cup of milk with a slight flavor of espresso, not my idea of a cappuccino..
