I recently moved to Tennessee and heard of this place from a friend of a friend.
I made an appointment with ERICA, requesting a touch up to the roots of my highlights, maybe a few lowlights, and a trim.
ERICA applied my highlights, sat me under a blow dryer, and then washed them out like normal.
When she moved me into the salon chair, I saw that my entire head was bleach blonde! and not only that, as she was brushing my hair, (not sure you could even call the goo on my head hair at that point) I could see it literally just falling out into the brush and onto the floor.
As I touched my hair, it was just falling out into my own hands, not even resembling what hair is supposed to feel like.
I told ERICA she over bleached my hair (obviously). She insisted that was what I told her I wanted...(pretty sure I didn't make an appointment for my hair to be a pile of mush on the floor, unattached to my head)
The owner of the salon took me into the back room and added lowlights to my hair...but as any girl who has been through a hair massacre knows, it was ruined.
On my way out, ERICA couldn't even look me in the eyes, better yet say sorry or admit she messed up.
This happened 7 months ago, and my hair is still an absolute mess. I baby and condition it as much as possible, but it's still significantly dry and damaged.
To make matters even worse, my hair cut was equally as traumatizing. They gave me a layer I now refer to as a "back head bang" that is about six inches from the top of my head. My second, unblended shelf of a layer is about at my shoulders. Then about six inches from that is the longest, obviously very thin, layer of my hair. It honestly looks like I decided to grow out a mullet.
I needed to share my story because I wouldn't wish what happened to me on my worst enemy. Hair is important to a girl, so do yourself a favor and don't bring it to this salon #beautyschooldropout read more
