Definite 5 stars! This is one of the many restaurants that look like tourist traps facing the ocean but it Is anything but. I've been here twice on this trip and each time the food was spectacular. - Their meatballs are out of this world. I've tried both varieties. Just the meatballs and the spaghetti with meatballs. Both are wonderful although I would give just a very slight edge to the meatball dish by itself. The spaghetti here is to die for though. So you can't go wrong either way. - The eggplant Parmesan is amazing. Roasted eggplant where you can taste the smoked taste -- just fabulous. The service is quite good here as well. It gets full but they manage to have enough servers to make sure things keep moving. And of course the views are fabulous. A must visit if you come to Naples. read more

This place was delicious! It may seem strange but we have had a hard time finding good food in Italy. This was the first place we went where all 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Also our waiter was adorable. I would recommend Stella's to anyone. read more

Best restaurant (pizzeria too) on the most famous boardwalk of Naples, with views on the gulf, the castle (dell'Ovo) and Capri. Less "touristic" then the other restaurants nearby, as also a meeting and dining point of Stella's (the charming and fun owner) many friends from the Neapolitan "elite". read more

We chose Stella because of the music and large crowd. We first asked for water and had the glasses slammed down on the table before being told we couldn't order food for half an hour. This was interesting considering other tables were already eating. The caprese salad and margharita pizza were mediocre and the bread they gave us was chewy and burnt. The DJ was repeatedly told to turn down the music but kept creeping it back up. Their location by the water and their cold beers were the only things they had to going for them. read more

Stella is a great go-to restaurant in Naples. It's always open when others are closed, the food is top notch and the location can't be beat. It's central to the lovely Chiaia district. The outside seating will have you looking out into the bay, Castel dell'Ovo and maybe even Capri on a clear day. Indoors is very nice as well. On the menu, you will find all kinds of regional foods, including pizzas, pastas, fresh fish and other meats and they keep it seasonal. The pizzas are very good and if you fancy trying a few other dishes, they'll make you a nice array of appetizers/starters. The prices are mid-range, but very good for what you get. The service is good, friendly and attentive, but it can get scattered when they're busy. In any event, it's a good place to which I return time and time again. read more
