My husband and I stayed in one of Fred Pappalardo's units (Google Stella Maris Fred Pappalardo). I HIGHLY recommend renting from him. He is very easy going, prompt to return our emails and calls, and made our stay a breeze. We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was fresh, bright, and clean. It was a little outdated since the building is older, but it offered all of the amenities we needed. A small kitchen offered all the appliances that we needed to eat in. The whole wall facing the beach was all windows with two sliding glass doors that opened up, making it feel like you were sitting right on the beach (you practically are anyways!). The room offered more space than a hotel room, and it was much more fresh and airy than one as well. We loved waking up in the morning and having coffee on our balcony, directly facing the beach. Most mornings there rainbows over the beach to the west. It was also peaceful to fall asleep to the sounds of waves. The building is very secure. You need a key to get through the gate, to enter to lobby, to take the elevator to your floor, and then to open the door to your unit. One downfall is that no parking spots are offered, but Fred contracts with the Marriott right next door so that we can park in their ramp for a fee. A car isn't needed to get around San Juan anyways and buses are available for cheap. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend checking out Stella Maris for your PR stay!!! read more
