Can be a little loud in there, FYI. Very family-friendly. They have ice cream and milkshakes! It would be a great place to stop after a game, or to watch a game! TVs just circle the place. Full bar and non-alcoholic options. (I usually just go for water; I don't drink anymore.) Wait staff is attentive, but I've noticed that if the server isn't 'assigned' to you that they don't do much for you. Example, they won't take dirty plates or refill waters, but we've never had issues with the girl who is 'assigned' to us. Go Cards!

The concept of a "Nest" gives comfy, cozy, and warm. Unfortunately, this place is just not hitting…read morethose marks-- not yet, anyway. First, the good: the service is good! Every person we came into contact there was really nice and helpful. The cheese curds were also really good! The other food we had was really just okay at best. We had the onion rings and our group tried two pizzas: a carnivore and the jalapeño popper. If you'd told me they were frozen pizzas, I'd have believed you. The most unfortunate part is the environment/ambience. The Nest bills itself as a sports bar. It does have plenty of screens which were playing the important games, which is pretty important. The screens were big and one could see them from about any seat in the house, also paramount. But the place is cold, both literally and figuratively: the temperature was so cold and so many harsh, hard surfaces. People were shivering, women had their hands pulled up into their sleeves. It finally started getting warmed and one of the employees complained it was hot and went and adjusted it back to cold. The lighting is fluorescent and harsh, not comfy and cozy like you'd expect in a sports bar atmosphere. Also, it's extra loud in there, probably due to so many hard surfaces. So in a word, if I had to describe it in just one, it would be uncomfortable. But I think those are things they could easily change, so I do have hope for them as a relatively new establishment, so long as they're open to feedback and growth for improvement! They're nice people who deserve a good shot at making it, so I'd think they would be. If I could do half stars, I'd have rated it 2.5, but I can't so I rounded up, mostly for their kind attitudes.

This is indeed a Mid restaurant…read more Small town opinion is that it's a great addition to a dwindling selection of variety. Big city folk opinion is that it's trash. Over all? 4/10. The fries were good, the reviews with 3 stars are pretty spot on. I came in on a Wednesday night, the restaurant was reasonably busy, I asked for the Birria nachos, and a side of fries. The nachos were ironically dry, the cheese hardened in seconds to the construction paper under, there was no flavor which I tried to help with more cheese dip (didn't work). The server came over and asked how I was enjoying it, (I'd eaten less than 6 nachos at this point) I said "it's unappetizing, I can't eat this, I'm sorry, it's just not very good" She took the plate, but made me pay for a terrible dish. That was hardly eaten. I tried to make it appetizing in order to eat it and not waste it, but 2 chips from there I was done. I finished the fries and left hungry. You have A LOT OF INEXPERIENCED SERVICE PEOPLE HERE. I did not see a single adult in the restaurant. No one of age to run the staff, check on food, check on customers, run plates, or help with the over all atmosphere. This is why the customer service is suspect, they don't want to pay to have a competent adult running the place. It's "small town good" but not for anyone from somewhere with much better places available. (The prices were a tad high for the lack of ability to create worth while dishes.)

The nachos were decent, but a tad dry. The steak was tender and the mashed potatoes were cheesy and filled with bacon. The lunch service was pretty slow. We ordered different dishes and I enjoyed mine - a mix of different cheeses. It was good but I should have asked for red pepper flakes io enhance the flavor as it was pretty much one note. John liked the fries but the panini was hard to eat with so much sauce and the chapati bun wasn't pressed. Overall we enjoyed our time and will give it another try. I hat giving three stars but really there has to be some improvements and I'm sure they will!

French fries, tator tots, fried vegetables, onion rings, etc. The food is just that, food. It's a bar in the middle of nowhere Northeast Nebraska. I'm sure I am going to be the only person reviewing Eunie's as there are no Yelp users in Dixon, NE. If my review brought you here, I hope you love it too. I find Eunie's Palace a special place, a good old Nebraska bar, a flavor you can not get in the city. I use to live near here and find Eunie's as a connection to my roots, where I was brought up. The restaurant itself is full of boxes, storage along side mix matched chairs and tables. Christmas decorations up in July, hand carved signs misspelled and proudly hung with strange sayings only a local could love. They are known for nothing really, maybe a yearly motorcycle rally that is a dot on a photocopied map. I'm sure the locals do not see anything less than a place to grab a beer and a burger. I myself enjoyed Eunie's Palace for what Eunie's Palace is. A small palace in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't resemble a palace at all. I think that is also what makes this place special, it's ironic humor.
