This is the new iteration of Lebanon's original brewery from the 1800s. The building is the same, and history is forefront with a great timeline on the entry wall. Even if you aren't into beer, it's worth a visit just to step back in time. I love all the brick buildings and side buildings; clearly this was a busy place. The new brewery is slowly using the space for different things, and I look forward to seeing how it grows and changes in the future. They have outdoor seating, lots of parking, and overflow parking, which are great for large groups especially during the warm months. I went with my dad and best friend; I had arranged to meet with brewer and co-owner Mike and was immediately greeted warmly by the bar staff. It was a sunny afternoon so we sat at the bar by a window and tried every beer! It was so much fun to go through the styles, some of which are taken from original recipes. They have a full food menu too, but we didn't try anything that day. They also have lots of dining tables in the main room. The brewing equipment is gleaming copper along the one wall, but it's misleading because it all goes down to the giant basement and production area. Mike kindly gave us a personal tour after our beer and showed us all the equipment, historical points with fun stories, plus the bottling room and their fun bottle caps. Beer quality is great, they have many cores and some limiteds on a rolling basis. Prices are reasonable as well. Beer is available chilled at the door to-go as well. If you're a beer fan, or interested in Lebanon Valley history, this is a must visit brewery!

I got a cocktail and wish j would have gotten a fresh orange crush, but I loved the drink I picked (peach iced tea). My husband got a beer, he enjoyed. Here are things that give this place a little extra spice, they have a popcorn bar. The popcorn bar is free and has a bunch of toppings you can add. They are HUGE DOG PEOPLE! you can bring your pup to enjoy a beer with you on the patio. The staff is amazing and I can't wait to go back!

What can I say about Mount Gretna Hideaway? Somewhat rustic decor with the lights inside turned…read moredown low and the windows are somewhat small. It lends a feeling of low ceilings and coziness. You have glimpses of the wooded outdoors and paintings of wildlife. There's also a set of bronze climber that's rather quirky. Our party of seven was there to quietly celebrate a 31st wedding anniversary and the restaurant was very kind about our disorganized group. The guests of honor had ordered a Blue Moon Belgian White (served with an orange slice) and waters while waiting for the rest of us. The food was very well prepared. The St. Patrick's Day menu was an early feature & some of us took advantage with a notable option being the Reuben Quesadilla. My mother-in-law was concerned that the sauerkraut would make it soggy. We were pleased that her quesadilla was crispy & she said it was a generous amount of corned beef. Father-in-law ordered the Roast Beef #3, which is described as "Served hot on thick sliced sourdough, and smothered with fries & gravy". It was, indeed, smother in gravy and looked like a very generous portion to me. A couple other dishes were the Cajun Style Chicken Alfredo and Shepherd's Pie. I was informed that they were great dishes and sister-in-law-to-be claimed it was a better shepherd's pie than she could make at home. High praise! We had the Fish & chips. The haddock was a large filet, the batter was a good ratio to the flesh and the fry was a great temperature. There was no excess of greasiness. The chips and fish were very crunchy without being dried out inside. The tartar sauce was unremarkable, but the coleslaw was perfect; tangy with vegetables that had a crisp crunch. Our waitress was very patient with our little one; the pickiest of us declined anything except a beverage until it was time for dessert, which was a kids vanilla ice cream, with sprinkles. I ordered a Lemon Berry Cream Mascarpone - a white cake with a delicate crumb, delicious cream filling, tart cranberries and sweet blueberries. Absolutely the best dessert I've had in Pennsylvania. The rest of the party ordered Cheesecakes and Irish Bread pudding. There were no complaints to be heard.

Service was great! We had a waitress handle our party of 11 and she was awesome! Not one complaint…read morefrom any of us. Mt Gretna Hideaway is a cool place to check out. Mt Gretna is general is a great time. It is fun , outdoorsy, great bar scene and great food. Definitely better in the summer compared to the winter, but such a cool atmosphere! The food was awesome. Roast Beef, simply great! The Guinness Burger was very good, great taste. A lot of places are going smash burgers route, but this style of burger is definitely better. The fries were average, definitely had better. Biggest knock that brings it down to a 4 star is the price for the the food is a little on the higher side. Overall good place!

While in Lebanon we decided to try and find something new and came across this place…read more.. When arriving we were able to seat ourselves and there was maybe 2 other tables dining at the time. We were told the wait staff was very short handed, but I can say, they still did an awesome job at keeping drinks full, getting food out, and just checking in on the guests, especially since it was getting busier as we left. When it came to the food.... Chicken tenders with buffalo sauce: to me, this was probably the best thing, even though there was nothing special. The mild sauce really did not have much heat to it, for me that's a good thing, but my boyfriend wasn't too impressed Mac and Cheese: This was very bland, just nothing that made me want this again. I feel if they added in maybe another type of cheese it could have done something to the dish. My boyfriend added steak to his mac n cheese and it was over-done to him. Baked potato: it looked old and not very appetizing just by the skin French Fries: These were very different and had a sweet taste to them. I can say I was not a fan of these, but my boyfriend thought these were the best part of the meal. Overall, the service was very good based on the shortness of help, but the food was just average and nothing I would need to go back for.
