Very friendly staff. The miso soup was far too concentrated. It needed to be diluted down a bit. We've never seen miso soup so dark before. The California roll, Alaska roll, salmon, and shrimp nigiri were all good. The imitation crab in the California roll had a bit too much mayo in it, but the flavor was good. It's not just a buffet, you can order sushi like a normal restaurant as well. Overall I'd recommend this place if you're feeling sushi. read more

Was visiting Stege and after a day visiting Mons Klint, we stopped by Stege to look for a place to eat. There was not many choices and this place had an AYCE option for 259 Danish kr. We decided to try it as there was not many other options. We ordered through an iPad and there is an extra charge if you leave more than 3 pieces of sushi to prevent waste. There wasn't much choices to select from but enough to get some variety. We tried an assortment of nigiri and rolls, salad and cooked food. The fish was very fresh and the food was quite good, especially for the price. The tempura shrimp was excellent and fried fresh by order. Overall it was a good experience. read more

History

Established in 2016.

The plans regarding Stege Sushi took form back in 2015, where the two founders took a trip to Møn, and went along on a guided tour of Stege. During this tour they experienced what the town had to offer, and immediately fell in love with the area and the island. Then, a winter's day in February 2016, Yu and Junjie went for a walk down the roads of Stege, and saw along the way, a store available for rental. And in that moment, they decided that, that would become the rooms for their new restaurant, and then the hard work began. After some months of building, and other preparations, everything was ready, and it was with great excitement when the doors opened up to the customers for the very first time, at the big Tuesday Market in Stege. The customers flocked to the restaurant, and seemed to be very content, which they have been ever since.

Meet the Manager: Junjie W.

Junjie W. work as the manager of Stege Sushi, because she has the knowledge about the teamwork between kitchen and waiters. She worked for stick'n'sushi Hellerup and Nansensgade as the kitchen assistent for 5 years.
