The truck could be called Sauces Around the World as the individual sauces are what define each sandwich. Choose a protein, and choose your preferred country and they apply the appropriate sauce to emulate the flavor of BBQ from that region. THE TASTE Bread, meat, sauce and fries are all good. The meat may not be an exact match to the region, but with the sauce, it is a surprisingly good homage to the real deal. Wrapped in a fresh bun, the sandwiches are accompanied by a generous portion of fries. The cut and size of the fries is reminiscent of McDonald's, while the lightly crunchiness is kind of like Burger King fries. Not gourmet fries, but they do pair well with all the sandwich varieties. THE SERVICE Friendly service and you can customize your order. Also don't overlook their Homemade Lemonade. It's a little expensive at $4, but it is a larger size than other trucks serve. THE SYNOPSIS I've tried the Hawaiian, the Argentinean, and the American (#2), and all were hunger satisfying as well as palette pleasing. Would I order again? You bet! Some sandwiches could use a little more customization than just the sauce, but I love the concept and execution.

It's gorgeous out today and there were several trucks out. However, I had originally gone out looking for my favorite BBQ truck and he wasn't out today. So, admittedly I already had a serious taste for BBQ and mac n' cheese. Still, as a southerner and cook I don't take either of these dishes lightly and was not going to simply choose this truck because they offered the food I was craving. After walking up and down the side walk a few times, I decided I would give Pull'd a try. Still skeptical, I asked to taste the mac n' cheese (to make sure it wasn't the disgusting, processed mac n' cheese that Rocklands serves...ugh). And to my delight, it absolutely was not! Delicious, I thought. Baked. Seasoned. Moist, but not unnaturally creamy. I'll take a side of that please. Then, I asked about the potato salad...what are the ingredients. I heard no mention of mustard, which was a flag. No thanks I said, just add a side of coleslaw (of which I have never been a fan). Then I asked to taste the potato salad, just in case I wanted to change my mind. It was pretty good. I like that he added dill, which gave it a nice fresh taste perhaps making up for the zing that mustard provides. I switched my coleslaw for potato salad. Now, to get to the BBQ. I got pulled chicken with smoked BBQ sauce. DEE-LICIOUS. I usually get BBQ from a food truck called Smoking Kow. Their BBQ is good (their mac n' cheese will make you wanna smack somebody), but the BBQ at Pull'd is great! No fat. Shredded, tender meat that melts in your mouth. No chunks. It really is pulled BBQ. The owner was so nice. Every time I asked to try something first, he agreed with a smile, eagerly awaiting my response. The food was ready in minutes. Service could not have been better. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for BBQ in a pinch and would certainly eat here again.

The sauce, I asked for hot suce too, was DRIPPING from the gyro and was actually coming out of the wrapping. The meat was very tasty, but I was disappointed in that there were no tomatoes nor onions included, which I've gotten when I've ordered gyros from other establishments. They have huge pictures displayed on the side of the truck that consists of the menu. The other offerings also included chicken gyro, kabob over rice, chicken over rice, combination on pita, etc... They advertise Halal fresh food. All in all it was a HUGE gyro that satisfied me.

The cart offers a beef, a chicken curry, and a third one I don't remember, probably veg. And the sausage roll. They also have a basket of upscale potato chips, and probably some beverages (I didn't notice). The chicken curry was pretty good, definitely enormous, which is important for my $6.50. Though I'd rather pay $4 for one half that size, but maybe that's just me. The pastry crust was good, which is key - it wasn't heavy and it didn't break apart in my hands, either. Honestly, British food isn't usually "knock your socks off" amazing, and this is no exception. But these are authentic pasties, so that counts for something. The cart was run by two young guys, one in a "Pure Pasty" t-shirt and the other in a "Mind the Gap" t-shirt. Mr Mind the Gap politely informed me that I had mispronounced "pasty," and it should be "PAST-y, not PASTE-y." What makes this halal food truck stand out is: 1 the dazzling selection of on demand biryani - most restaurants will only offer 1, yet this truck offers several options; 2 the yogurt is closest to 'original' plain yogurt that is typical of Indian cuisine - tart, unsweetened and nostalgic AND 3 the most amazing thing was that they had a fire-oven for fresh naan! This seems to be the only truck like this! The service is courteous and prompt! Just what I need on a busy lunch time at the end of a work week:)
