Every time I've popped into Madewell, the store is clean, the sale section is big, and staff are gracious and friendly. Fitting rooms are closed right now due to COVID, which is something to keep in mind. I did get fit and styling tips for a couple items that I was unsure about, so I love that they offer that in-person touch for a site that I've mainly shopped at online. One of the items I was interested in was out of stock in the store, and the staffperson was able to order from the online site to my house but include the different store deals on my order, which is a service I appreciated. My husband had an awesome young salesman, who gave him a ton of suggestions. He knew how it felt to have foot issues. While they didn't have the same foot issues, this salesman certainly exceeded expectations, and went way out of his way to help him out. Nevada Bob's has everything you could ever need!!…read more I'm a novice golfer at best, and come to Nevada Bob's to check out their vast selection of used clubs, which is unbelievable. Their new selection is also top notch, but have never bought any new clubs from here yet. The staff is very knowledgeable, but have always been tied up with customers (many regulars they seem to know by name) the times I've been there. It definitely seems like a cool local place, almost like a glorified club house. There is a virtual driving range where you can try out clubs, a small putting green to test out a wide selection of putters, and a workshop in the back for customizing your clubs. Not to mention a large selection of bags, clothes and shoes in between. The store is a little cramped, but it's just because they have so much golf stuff to fit in there! I have a friend who's an avid golfer and now lives in Denver. He was the one who told me to go there and added that whenever he comes home to Wisconsin, he always makes a trip to Nevada Bob's. The most radical difference is Athleta's super generous return policy. I would say that Athleta is also a little more casual wear oriented than Lululemon. Like Lululemon, they offer free pant alterations, weekend free exercise classes, and always a lot of new styles of tops and leggings. The store's inventory is much smaller than online, but if you use the computer inside the store, you can order whatever you like with free ship. The back of the store does offer a couch for tired shoppers, as well as a lot of free class cards at local gyms. Athleta is superior to Lululemon for me. Sometimes you just gotta return stuff.

At any time there will be 4-5 people working in the store--and not doing anything--and they will just ignore customers. It's difficult to get help with anything and if you do have a question or need help, the staff makes you feel like you're inconveniencing them. I'm usually quite taken with the 47 brand that ends up ringing up on the pricey side, but the fit, fashion and quality stands up over time.
