Initially, I was a bit intimidated about seeing Dr. Lonergan, having read some unfavorable reviews…read more I took the time to sit down, before my appointment, and wrote out a list of my symptoms, knowing that doctors have limited time to speak with their patients. I think that this strategy helped me to focus on which issues I wanted to discuss with him. He greeted me with a smile, and patiently asked me about what issues I was having. I am a vocalist, and wanted to know if he sees others who sing, as well. He said that they actually have a specific clinic there, which focuses on the special concerns of singers and that he does have many patients who sing. I was there just to determine whether or not I had any physical obstructions or pathology (disease processes) with my vocal chords or larynx, because I had been having problems with vocal fatigue and an inability to project my voice as well as I used to. After explaining my symptoms, he offered to take a look at my larynx with a camera, which he would thread through my nose and nasal cavity. I recoiled, hearing this, knowing how anxious I get with such procedures. So--I asked him if one of his assistants could hold my hand, while he did the procedure, and he said, "Sure!" He used a numbing anesthetic spray, and his assistant held my hand, while Dr. Lonergan used the scope to check my larynx and vocal chords. Having the assistant there during the procedure was very comforting, allowing me to relax, so that the doctor could safely do the procedure. The great news was that I had no apparent pathology or obstructions (such as polyps.) That was what I wanted to hear! He also suggested that I should be sure to stay hydrated, eat a low acid diet and avoid dairy foods, prior to performances. Before I left his office, he answered all my questions and concerns with the utmost of professionalism and poise. Thank you, Dr. Lonergan, for your help! I highly recommend his services to anybody--particularly to any other vocalists in the Sonoma County area, who may be having symptoms which are causing them concern.

I had a miserable experience with this ENT. My PCP thought I had a fungal infection, and he was…read moreavailable a week later so I booked the appointment. He diagnosed the problem as ear wax, and without any effort to dislodge the clog via warm water, he went straight to microsuction, digging in the ear and roughly yanking my head around to get a better angle. Not once did he ask if I was comfortable. When I told him that he was hurting me, he pushed my head back down, leaving a visible scratch on my face. I finally told him that (now that I knew the cause of the problem) I would treat it with carbamide peroxide and convinced him to put down his instruments. He made a follow-up appointment for two weeks. Two weeks later, my ear was still problematic, so I went back, this time accompanied by an observer. With another person in the room, he was on much better behavior, comporting himself appropriately and not grabbing my face as he had the first time. Completely unprofessional and a miserable experience overall. I understand that it's fun to dig stuff out of ears, but the ENT needs to keep in mind that the ears are attached to a human.

Firstly Dr Quenelle is amazing.. he has a great bedside manner and explains things really well…read more. with charts, and in 'normal' terms that people who are not familiar with medical terms can understand. He is kind, and funny as well. I really enjoy going to see him, and having my surgery done by him on my sinuses. This review is for the front office. They are terrible. I have been 10+ min early to appointments and have ended up waiting over an hour to see the Dr. The ladies who work behind the desk seem annoyed and bothered when you ask what is going on. Oh, I'm sorry.. I have other things to do today than sit here and wait. I have been late to class multiple times because of this. I made an appointment extra early one day because of this. I got there at 7am and there was nobody in the office. My appointment was at 715. I was waiting until 7:35 when and another women came in...and they took her ahead of me! I knew it was for Dr. Quenelle because I saw his Medical Assistant open the door, I even got up expecting her to say my name... I was completely shocked and really annoyed at this point. I didn't see the Dr. til 8:10!! Are you joking!? I also heard one of the staff used this sentence "He ain't got no record of you coming in today." Completely unprofessional.. use proper English Hire some new people.. your front office staff makes you look awful.

I have been going here for around 6 years now and I have never had such a bad experience before. It felt like she was dismissive and unprofessional. It was overall a really bad experience, If this is how I will be treated, I will stop coming and using this service.
