After 30 hard years of running around with no doors, my poor old Jeep's steering column was done in. I guess wind, rain and road grit take their toll on these things. Looked high and low and could get junky one used or super expensive one made, called these fine folks....within 7 days of my phone call, I had in hand an exact twin...only new and shiny....to my old wore out column. That sure isn't bad timing for having it built and then shipped half way across the country. Had absolute zero problems installing it, everything worked and I honestly couldn't be happier. Driving a car with doors on it is terrible, glad to be back in the Jeep. I don't know how regular people get by with doors on their cars. Yuck. My 88 Chevy 1500 has over 550,000 miles on it, so needless to say, parts are just worn out. I ordered a new steering column, it arrived earlier than expected and was an exact match. once installed, it worked perfectly. When I first researched columns, the new ones were quite expensive. Yet I was a little skeptical about buying a rebuilt one. The price was very reasonable and the return policy gave me plenty of time to return my core without being charged. Got a column swapped out for a Jeep CJ in 17'. I inadvertently knocked the spring out when installing the gear selector. I bolted the column in the jeep to move it . I then proceeded to let time get away from me and the column sat in the jeep for several years. I finally contacted Columns Galore and shipped it back to get the spring replaced. I was told they would probably still fix it under warranty. I was called and told it was out of warranty and was in terrible shape. I was then transferred to an incredibly rude guy that again said it was worn out and in terrible shape. He also told me I didn't know what I was doing in the first place to knock the spring out. I had begin to lose my cool at this point and was ugly to them. I was called back and told they wouldn't be fixing it only shipping it back to me. Bought a column for a 1994 Chevy K1500. After installed, we find that turn signal stalk does not work correctly (binds turning right), the ignition turns back on past stop and the column generally steers & feels loose despite all new front end and steering components of good quality. Just a poor quality rebuild - if it even was rebuilt, or just thrown in a box after they looked and didn't see anything broken off. I don't recommend. read more

I had a column rebuilt here and my turn signal canceling was not working correctly after Steering Columns Galore got their hands on it. I had someone local "fix" This rebuilt "thoroughly tested" rebuild job at a tune of $159. Steering Columns Galore said I should have removed the column and sent it clear across the US to see what they screwed up. They refused to reimburse me the $159 that it cost me to correct the turn signal canceling issue.... so here I am writing this. Your mileage may vary... Good Luck Jeff read more

After searching the internet and junkyards for steering column for 1976 J10 I found steering columns galore. They were so helpful and the steering column they sent me was a perfect fit. Trying to restore this Jeep has been difficult. A year went by and after several mechanics the inside of the horn button was lost. I called Rick at steering columns galore and he worked with my mechanic to get the right parts. So Im hopeful it will finally pass inspection and I can enjoy driving and restoring this Jeep in honor of my DAD. The body shop told me my column was toast. He was going to use a used column which I did not agree with. I found this company by searching online and reading all the reviews available as I usually do. They delivered a product that amazed my body shop guy. After installing it and testing it, he said he will now only get columns from this company. My vehicle is a 2000 Camaro SS with all the controls on the steering wheel. I knew my column was going but after picking up the car I didn't realize just how bad it had gotten. 190,000 miles does a lot to a column and now I've got the stability and confidence back.
