    Coated but not second patch nor painted

    I have been having several issues with the management and maintenance since they have not been fixing something in my apt that started two months ago (the first day that I moved in). June 21st: First I had a bathroom ceiling leak from the neighbors' upstairs toilet (at least it was clean water). It took maintenance few hours to stop the leak. July 21st: Then a MONTH later they came to fix the ceiling (cut and patch) because I was calling every few days requesting it. Today August 19th: It has been two months and they haven't paint the ceiling to make it look good because I am paying a lot to hve a pretty and good looking place. Because of this, I DO NOT recommend this place to live in. And also, yes, you can clearly hear the neighbors upstairs

    Firstly I would like to say how excited I was to move to steeplechase , I got a voicemail from Jordan leasing agent stating me and my partner were approved . following two days later I got a denial letter as an email stating we are denied three days before our "move in date" . I show up to the leasing office to speak with the property manager Dana . I explained what happened and she rolls her eyes and says "he didn't see the report" so why call and say someone is approved when they are not . what is the process ?? she couldn't explain that . I was willing to play the voice mail from her employee stating we are approved her response was "I don't care what he said your denied " I then proceeded to ask can I apply again with another person she told me I am not able to apply again EVER ! Dana fields what kind of business do you run? she's more worried about all the piercings all over her face. not only did I feel upset she made my experience TEN times worse . she is very unprofessional and clearly unhappy . get another job if you don't care you are a sad excuse of a property manager . Henderson Webb was better then this and that days A WHOLE LOT .

    MICE! Don't move here, the management does not help with anything and turn off the water regularly.

    Live somewhere else…read more This whole place feels like a vineer over garbage. In my nearly 3 years here (only staying due to location) nothing about this places has been satisfactory for what they charge. The building is so poorly built that you can hear your neighbors on every side and the staff knows it. The response I got to noise complaints of hearing my side and upstairs neighbors walking, partying, and listening to music was "avalon may not be able to privide you with the quiet you need" and then doing nothing about it. I moved internally to avoid the noise and still feel my entire apartment shake whenever someone walks by in the hallway. This is in addition to maintenance staff enerting my apartment without permission and damaging my apartment on multiple occasions without notifying me before I found the damage. My floors and carpet had to be repaired by external contractors due to one individuals incompetence and they are still employed here. Hearing back from staff takes days for simple questions, packages are constantly left out in the open or unable to be delivered despite additional monthly charges for package receipt, the halls and elevators frequently have pet urine stains, a vomit stain on the wall took four months to address, and every window in my apartment required me to put up blackout curtians due to the parking lot flood lights outside my windows that are brighter than daylight. I will happily update my review should my experience improve but so far their track record has shown nothing but passivity.

Configured I would chime in, which I normally don't do either negatively or positively. Before moving in owned a house and sold it to temporarily live in an apt until another home is purchased. Don't like apartments but living here has somewhat changed my mind. Neighborhood is clean and crime free from what I noticed. The maintenance people have been very responsive to any repairs I've had. They fix issue which has only been a couple and leave a note saying they were there, which was a nice gesture. Whenever I have to go to management office (not very often) they have been very kind and responsive. Never have problem with parking or vandalism. Rates are competitive with similar properties. Convenient to highways. And shopping and even PA line. Cons- it's an apartment, which isn't Padonia fault. It's not a remolded unit but still nice and clean. I would recommend getting a renovated unit, which are very nice and if I'm going to be here another year or more I am going to switch. Truly has been a pleasure and with all the windows and lighting in apartment I love it! Hope this helps anyone looking. Good luck!

There is a light in the kitchen, den, hallway, walk-in closet, and bathroom. There is no light in the living room or bedroom. I guess that is on me for not checking to see that there were lights in the apartment before moving in? The kitchen has minimal storage and the storage it does have is questionable. Two cabinets above the fridge do not open. The storage above the sink is lacking structure and caves in the middle. Things will break. Under the sink is just an open space. It is unsettling because there's at least one mouse in the apartment. I do not want to store things under the sink out of fear that the mouse will get into it. The bathroom light is attached to the fan which is super loud and does not vent. I have to shower with the door wide open in order to vent the bathroom. The reason the bathroom needs to be vented is because the paint they used for the bathroom has an oil in it that leaks when exposed to heat. Any time hot water or steam is used in the bathroom, the ceiling leaks a yellow oil. This oil drips on the ground, down the walls, and onto the sink. In order to make the bathroom somewhat "clean" I have to clean the ceiling twice a week. After about two months of living there, the tile started peeling and chipping like paint. The lack of ventilation also causes mold to grow above where the "tile" ends and wall begins. The drain is rusted and there's no drain cover, just a circular disk to place over the drain if you want to take a bath. The floor of the tub takes on a black color if you don't clean it weekly. The toilet paper holder is across from the toilet and is nearly impossible to reach. I had to buy my own holder so I can actually reach. Everything about the bathroom is stressful. The light cover in the den is so low that I, a 5'4" human, have bumped my head on it. It shattered within the first month of me living there. I can only assume they did that knowing everyone would break it and they could fine us for it. Honestly, that is a smart move on their part. There is a mouse living there. I have spotted it multiple times throughout my time here. It only comes out at night and no traps work. I submitted a maintenance request for it a few weeks after I moved in. They sent pest control to come. I didn't receive a letter to lock up my dog, so the man couldn't come in. I had to wait another week for them to come back because pest control only comes on Wednesdays. I provided the main office with the number for my dog walker so she could know when to come because I didn't want to leave my dog in her crate for 10 hours. The dog walker came and then put my dog in the bedroom so she was out of the way for pest control. I came home to my dog terrified, my bed peed on, and everything on my dresser now on the floor. That was 100% a me problem which I was fine with as long as there was no more mouse. But pest control didn't do anything! They said they did not see any activity (which makes sense because it only comes out at night) and they put down traps. They said they didn't spray anything because I have a pet that roams. But I had already put down traps. So, my dog freaked out and peed on my bed for absolutely nothing. I got married while living here and asked to add my husband to the lease. I figured it would just be adding his name to it. They wanted $500 for me to add him even though literally nothing else was changing. When I paid $500, they were upset because I did it online and not by a certified check. There was a notice taped to my neighbor's mailbox that said they are taking him to court for failure to pay rent. That was such a disrespectful way to go about it. That is a private matter and just shows how much they value money over all else. Most dog owners don't pick up after their dog. They put the nicest people who care a lot in the leasing office because it is impossible to get mad at them. But the company itself is terrible. The design and functionality of the apartment is atrocious.

    For the past months, literally all the time we have lived here laundry and dryer issues are a…read morenightmare, like washer not draining, dryer not heating, inconsistent water temperature, have been occurring frequently, significantly disrupting my ability to properly clean my clothes. I have already reported these issues to the maintenance team and laundry company several times, but the problems persist, causing inconvenience and frustration. I kindly request that you take immediate action to address these laundry machine malfunctions and ensure that the facilities are properly maintained and operational for all residents. When we moved into this property, one of the most important factors was that there was at least a laundry in the building. I have spoken to many residents and they all have the same problems. The lack of interest in solving this problem on the part of your company is quite worrying. As tenants, we are not only wasting our time but also our money. If our rent is paid in full and on time, we demand that we be provided with the laundry service that is included in our contract. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Transit is close and accessible. Parking is plentiful. That's where the pro's end. It all started on moving day. I scheduled delivery of our our new furniture to the designated apartment. They changed the unit on us which cost me to rearrange the delivery. The leasing agent was late and almost cost me the delivery of my furniture. We've lived in other complexes in the area. We were surprised to see the amount of soliciting that occurs. We've even had scam artists claiming to be with bge or Verizon. Our laundry room was broken into several times. Sometimes we'd find people sleeping or doing drugs inside. Recently, the complex installed rat traps. Rats are burrowing underneath the sidewalks leaving large holes. We had an issue with mold. The brick exterior has has cracks that allow moisture between the brick and dry wall. We called for maintenance. There response was to paint over the problem. We called them out on the issue and only then did they fix the issue correctly. We slept in the living room for a week while they removed the moldy drywall. The walls and ceiling do nothing to pad noise. As an experienced apartment dweller, I understand some noise is to be expected. The noise level here is exceptional. You can hear every step. The drains to the tubs are t shaped plumbing that connect neighboring units. When the neighbors tub backs up... so does yours. The general quality of the unit leaves a lot to be desired, especially for the high cost. My recommendation is to look at neighboring complexes. The neighboring complexes offer w/d in unit, secured entry ways, better soundproofing, and higher end finishes for a comparable price. Sure, you'll save money on bge , however, you'll spend it all on laundry.

I had lived in over 5 locations throughout the past 7 months and was really excited to just have a solid place to live for 12 months. I came from a small town in Indiana were money wasn't really a priority or really a commodity which made living very difficult. I moved to Maryland over 4 years ago and as previously mentioned, lived in several locations. Henderson-Webb has to be one of the most unorganized and very behind technologically and generationally. They make us pay with coupon cards that you have to put into envelopes and turn into a small drop box every month. There are many other apartment communities that offer online payment options or even a 5 to 6 month chunk payment method. It's really inconvenient. The price you pay compared to the experience you get is awful. I pay for Comcast and BGE. Henderson-Webb provides everything else, garbage and water. If it's anything I really have to complain about it's the amount of times my hot water goes out every single week. I've had to call maintenance at least once a week about the hot water issues. For a last minute resort, I chose Henderson-Webb. They told me I would be incredibly satisfied with the company but I guess that's up for argument. I really want to put nice and enjoyable things about the company but I can't honestly find any. The face-to-face customer service is fantastic, but that's because it's face-to-face and they have to be as nice to you as they can but when you call them on the phone they absolutely don't care about you. Anytime I have to call maintenance for anything or the leasing office for a question, they don't care about me and have no answers for any questions I may have. I would recommend checking out another apartment complex and company before coming back to Henderson-Webb. I have lived in one other very well esteemed apartment complex in Towson, MD that really trumps Henderson-Webb and I'm pleased to say that my next years lease has been signed with them again.
