When I finally got a chance to try to recover the car, they told me I was looking at $1900 to release the car. After doing research and based on my own experience, I've never had a Towing company charge me more than $275 for a hookup. These guys want $475 and what's worse is that my car was well under 1 mile away from their location, so it wasn't the mileage that was driving the price up. They were charging well over $100 per day for storage for the total amount quoted. That's insane! I had to sign my title over to them just to avoid the ridiculous storage fees, but I still had to pay $475 for the tow itself. They tried telling me this price is normal everywhere and they also forced me to pay cash. This needs to stop. These bad towing companies are predators and are taking advantage of people like me who basically have no choice if they want to avoid ruining their credit. I'm already out of money because of my injury and now I have to use what little money I have left to pay for a tow that took them 2 blocks to bring back to their yard? Avoid this business at all costs! Make sure everyone you care about avoids them at all costs! If you don't currently have towing covered on your insurance, add it or get AAA! AVOID being in my situation if possible, companies like this will wreck you.

The company continues to say that the driver "thought" the Manheim Township police requested the tow. After investigating the incident, a police representative said not only didn't they request this tow, they NEVER request a tow from a handicap spot. If there is a violation, they ticket the vehicle. King's Towing has demonstrated that they are just one of the many tow companies that give the industry a bad name.

Well, in a blaze of glorious sparks, he had to pull off to the side of the highway (which is a feat in itself let's be honest). As he gets out of the car to try and see what the actual F is going on he realizes that the vehicle has sprung a leak but unsure as to where it was actually coming from. After a little bit of fenagling he was able to unjam the offending object from under the car to see that it was up close and personal with the transmission and we now have a rather large issue. Luckily, he was able to limp the car to the next exit/gas station and able park it out of the way, but things were only getting worse. Now comes the realization it is after hours on a big holiday eve... and we also forgot to reup on our AAA subscription (my bad I will be getting on that asap). However, after a few phone calls and some google searches, we came across the listing on Yelp for Kaufman Towing with the holy grail of labeling of "open 24hrs". Within 30 minutes of finding the phone number and making the call we have the car parked in our driveway to wait another day to deal with it and the insurance. They were wonderful people, and the wait was microscopic compared to most as well as the price. They do quick but accurate alignments at an honest price. Their many years of experience makes for quality work. Ron is a master and a perfectionist when it comes to doing alignments for classic cars. I also had both the driver and passenger power windows stop operating on one of my classic cars and wasn't sure who would fix them. Rich, an employee of Lichty Brothers worked painstakingly on one window for five hours applying his knowledge and experience. And although he was unfamiliar with disassembling the door panels and reassembling them, his expertise and carefulness led to a successful repair. When you walk into Lichty, you'll find Kevin and Gretchen are courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable in answering all of your questions on repair estimates and scheduling.
