We visited Steeds Dairy for the first time in several years. They continue to add attractions to their fall festivities, of which the corn maze is our favorite. Plenty of things for the kids to do for a couple hours and a couple snack stands, as well. Lots of parking! Hay rides, animals, playground-type equipment, games, bounce pads, and more. Sad to see them becoming less family friendly by adding activities that cost extra for kids to beg to do. Loved it when we paid $60 to get in as a family and didn't have children begging to do other things that cost extra. The concessions are overpriced too, $5 for a crappy hotdog is just sad. Imagine that- a family of 4 spending $60 to get in, then to have to spend $40 for lunch ($20 for hot dogs, $12 for drinks, and $8-12 for chips) and now added activities that cost $3-5 in less than 5 minutes. I this was my first time going to Steed's Dairy. You have to pay to get in. The amount is on their website. I am military so I paid $9 to get in. This is a very family- friendly kid-oriented place. First of all I just took a look around I saw all the animals, saw all the activities for kids. There's a jumping pillow, a slide, etc. I went to the food truck with the anticipation that they would have some fresh food but I do not eat pork and they only had pork barbecue sandwiches and they didn't have any vegetarian options. I also thought the cookies were going to be made fresh, they were just Grandma's brand cookies. I got an apple cider from the drink bar and I walked over to the pumpkin patch. I bought a couple pumpkins. They were $3 each and then I left. read more

We had a great time here for my sons 3rd birthday. This environment is great for kids age 3-10 It's a great place for family games and fun. There are multiple swing sets, toys, slides and space for your kids to run wild . A pumpkin patch, hay ride, and carriage ride. I would totally recommend this place for your family fun day. read more

Warning: Do not pet the animals in the barn/petting zoo area. I was raised around horses and I know how to correctly interact with them. Have never been bit by a horse/pony until today. I was gently petting a pony and it lashed out and bit me. Thankfully, it didn't get any of the children who were reaching out to pet it. I informed the girl working the area that the pony was not feeling social and should probably go take some quiet time, and she said he'd already had a two hour break from giving rides and would not be getting another. In fact, she said, she would be taking him out immediately to give pony rides to children (because that's his job, whether he wants to do it or not). She literally said that she'd just "hold his head" so he wouldn't be able to bite the kids. In addition to not caring about the poor little horse, at no point did she express any concern that I'd been bit out offer any ice or first aid. It took me 20 minutes and multiple crew members to get in touch with the owner, who finally at least gave me some ice and said he would go tell the girl at the barn not to put kids onto that pony since it was "not having a good day". Apparently the pony had been "given a break" (by putting it in the highly traffic petting area) because it had been upset about having to give rides earlier. That's is definitely not a break so am overworked/skittish horse, and it was not a good situation for the pony or for me. Other notes: -Do not go to the fall activities if you have a peanut allergy. They are boiling peanuts. My sister had to leave early because she has a severe peanut allergy and had to use her epipen due to the amount of peanut in the air. Farm staff didn't seem at all concerned about this when my other sister told them what happened and that they should put up a sign. -The animals here are not taken care of. The calf they had in the petting area was emaciated. The sheep were severely matted. Just not healthy animals, not well cared for, obviously underfed. read more

I had heard many things about this establishment, good and bad. I kept those things in mind and I never fully count a place out until I have experienced it for myself. What some people like other people may dislike, so it's best to experience it for yourself. I had no idea where this place was. I was riding up Wrightsboro Road towards Grovetown to my little cousin's choral concert at Grovetown High. I was going pretty fast when passing this place. I saw a sign stating that they were having a Live Nativity scene on certain days and times. I didn't even know what the place was named until I asked my cousin and she told me that was Steed's Diary Farm and I was like, "Ooh, that's where it is!!!" Since I didn't get all the information I needed to attend the event, I located their information online and sent them a direct message about my interest in the event. They responded minutes later giving me the details. That it would be a weekend event Friday, Saturday, and Sunday December 14, 15, and 16th from 6pm to 8pm. This event would be free and they would be serving popcorn and hot chocolate and the event would be held in the barn. The event would be put on by Bellevue Baptist Church and the animals will be out and able for us to pet them. So I input all this information in my schedule to be in attendance. The night came around to attend the event. The place was easy to find and when I arrived many families where there gathered in the barn like the day when Jesus was born!!! My mother wondered the whole time while we were driving there if they would have a real baby playing Jesus and THEY DID!!! She was so amazed. The church members were dressed in all the garb from that moment in time and the barn was designed to mimic Jesus' birthplace as well. There was a guy singing Christmas song and reciting bible verses pertaining to the birth of Jesus Christ. It was really neat!!! The employees/owners were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. I was able to see and pet some of the animals. They had goats, rabbits, sheep, and the hugest pig I have ever seen!!! I want to come back and enjoy more of what this place has to offer!!! read more

I heard really good things about this place. I feel that the entrance fee is kinda high. The weather was not so great. It was really cold and windy when I visited so it was really difficult to take it all in and embrace the view. The hot cocoa was great and managed to keep me warm but after 30mins I decided to leave. Had a wonderful time here with my family. Having read the most recent review, we decided to wear masks and distance ourselves. This was easy to do, as the place is huge and even with a full parking lot, we never had to get within 6 feet of anyone not in our group, aside from on the jumping pillow, which my son wore a mask on. Thanks for existing! We made some great memories with our son here. There is so much included with the entry fee, it felt like a steal. read more

They are a COViD hospot. Don't come unless you are ready to catch covid. They have no mask requirement for adults. They have no cap and the number of people who can visit. There is absolutely no social distancing. It was a nightmare. There were 500 to 1000 people out at a time at the time that we got there. 80 percent of people had no masks on. The 20 dollar bill is not gonna be worth the 2 grand hospital bill for catching covid. read more

I took my Family here and it did have places to sit and activities for kids but when we got to pumkin patch a very rude lady had it in for us! She gave my grand daughter dirty looks snatched a pumpkin that she did not know we would not have bought and my daughter n law went to get a wagon being first time to this event did not know you had to buy a pumpkin to use the wagon had I know I would have bought one once again the lady had a attitude and grabbed the wagon! I respect the property being a home owner and don't mind to pay sense we had money but I do mind disrespect and taking things not asking if I wanted it was so rude she basically said go on now! I have never seen this and I wanted to Come back but my sons wife and husband said a place where the people are not people friendly is not a good establishment! I did meet a nice young man that served beverages and kids had a nice young girl paint faces on my granddaughter which I left a few dollars for tip! They did not respond to text or phone so don't bother calling in advance to ask any questions on wheelchair accessible or eating areas though they do have that! The whole area and I liked the small corn maze but I'm so shocked this lady had treated the children the way she did! I would have a sign no touching pumpkins if you would like to purchase ask don't take and also maybe better bedside manners and perhaps more people! I'm sure it's a lot of work and the owners have long days but I paid 60.00 which at least be respectful to my Family! I kept everything Clean and respected them! I would not recommend kids around pumpkin area at all we had kids ages 1,2,6,14,17 and that was a full negative with them all in that area! read more

My kids very much enjoyed all the different options that they offer. The barn with all the animals was by far the favorite! Different carnival type games, wooden forts, swings, sand pile, air pillow (huge bouncy may), and wagon rides just to name a few of the options. We were looking for a local pumpkin patch to take the kids to and this came up on google. Being new to the area and it being only a few miles from the house I figured it was just what we were looking for. Unfortunately that was not the case. It is $11 per person (to include Children) and $8 if you are military (which we appreciate). I was thoroughly disappointed with what they had to offer. The pumpkin patch was the size of a large backyard garden and had very few pumpkins in it, certainly none that were picture worthy. They are most famous for their corn maze which is advertised as 5 acres...it was MAYBE 1 acre and most of the corn was only 3 feet tall so there was no getting lost or feeling like It was just you in there...when my 5 year old daughter can see which paths connect it cannot be considered a maze! There was some friendly Animals (cow, ponies, pig, Goats donkey, rabbit) but they were penned up so you couldnt really get close to pet them. The Hay ride was nice but short and not really a hay ride (you sit on benches). The highlight of the place is the wooden ship/boat/truck/train that the kids can play on... I was expecting and ready to buy some farm products (cider, produce, etc) but none were available for sale. All in all it was very weak and expensive for what was offered. There were a few more things that I didn't mention but we didn't think they were worth doing so probably not worth mentioning. This place is pretty awesome. What don't they have? That would be a shorter list than what they do have. They have a petting zoo with all sorts of animals and they show a cow getting milked every couple of hours. They have a few different swing sets with weird different types of swings. They have a million wooden structures for the kids to play on, as well as a giant two-three story slide. They have a few mountains of sand for the kids to play in and track sand back to your car and your house! They have this gargantuan jumping bubble thing that can handle like fifty kids at once. They even have a concession stand that sells your average concession stand food; the food is pretty cheap too. They have a corn maze that we didn't get to go through but have heard good things about. They have a zip line for kids and they do tractor rides. There's literally no way a child could come here and not have a good time. I wish we had stuff like this when I was a kid, we used to just throw rocks at each other for fun, this is much better! Highly recommended. read more

Lots of kid activities from toddler's own play area and playground, a huge bouncy pillow for all ages (jump anytime for as long as it's open vs 1-hr for $8-$11 at AirStrike), hayride, mini zip line, corn maize (haunted corn maize opens @8pm), pumpkin patch area and face paint, and our fave to go along with the bonfire-S'MORES! Discount for military and seniors (from $11 to $8), everything from rides to the maize are free except the few add-ons i.e. haunted maize and a single-player game off to the side ranging price $1-$3. Gave a 4-star for the concessions limited options (could've grilled!) and the hayride was unexpectedly short, it was over before it began but fun and free nonetheless. read more

For the money that we paid, we derived far less value from the experience. Adults are charged at $11 per person and children under 2 are free. They have a few acres gated with playground equipment, a bouncy thing, corn toss, a corn maze and a petting zoo. The petting zoo consists of a handful of animals such as the most emaciated cow I have ever seen in real life, an equally emaciated donkey and a pig in an absolutely dry pen (no mud and it was twitching and covered in flies). There was a bunny in a shallow pen and was basically at the will of the children who came in every once in a while to ruffle it up. If we wanted to take our child to the playground, we could have done that for free. read more
