The large latte was delicious, but at $7... yikes. Large cinnamon bun, yum! Another $7. Insane prices. Good, but 2x reasonable prices.

The Main Bean - Bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on everything bagel

Chewy, light and locally sourced, the bagel sandwich, with a perfect crunch from the gold-standard…read morefried egg and crisp bacon, isn't greasy or heavy but still packs incredible flavor. I got it on the everything bagel, and I might add some more cheese if I want it extra gooey next time, but it's probably the proper amount. The iced coffee was lightly iced and I didn't even have to specify (that's my Dunkin' hack, less ice since they love that bartender trick). It wasn't too sweet and the unique house flavors pose some tough counter decisions; the praline was nutty and caramelly, with just the right amount of cinnamon. There's table service when possible, but it can get busy so keeping your head up helps everyone. Jess and Kiersten keep a cozy and easy-to-do-work vibe inside, as the cafe doubled as my office last week. The sensibly relevant wifi password, easily explained, is also a huge flex these days. Whether you wanna settle in, or just stop by for a quick bite, this spot is versatile, open till 2 and offers one of the best breakfast sandwiches around. Well done!

I tried the hazelnut praline yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. My kids love exploring the games in the back, and there's plenty around to keep them entertained. Disappointed After a Promising First Visit…read more If I were rating this place based solely on our first visit a few days ago, it would absolutely be 5 stars. The coffee was excellent, the staff including the owner were warm and welcoming, and we left excited to come back thinking we found our new favorite coffee place in Wilkes Barre. Unfortunately, our second experience (Sunday, July 13th around 1 PM) was the complete opposite and really disappointing. The barista/cashier that day treated us in a noticeably cold and annoyed manner, and we're still unsure what prompted it. I can't help but feel that implicit bias and how I looked played a role--especially as an Asian woman with a White partner. The barista was NOT white. As a bedside RN from Southern California and former flight attendant for a major international airline in the Middle East, I've been trained extensively in customer service and cultural sensitivity. I know what respectful service looks like--and more importantly, how it feels. No customer should leave a café feeling unwelcome, especially when they've been nothing but polite . We waited patiently in line while the barista chatted with the customer ahead of us--my boyfriend mentioned they were discussing protests. When it was our turn, the shift in her demeanor was immediate . Her warmth and friendliness is now gone. She scowled as soon as I stepped forward, gave off a clear attitude while I placed our order, and even interrupted me mid-sentence with an annoyed , "Wait, I can't multi-task." My boyfriend wanted to say something, but we let it go. Despite this, we still paid, tipped, and quietly left. Not even a "thank you" from the staff. We were genuinely excited to support this place again. The coffee is fantastic but no drink is good enough to justify being treated rudely. We won't be returning if there's even a chance of being on the receiving end of that kind of attitude again. If you're in the service industry, every customer deserves the same courtesy--not just the ones you personally connect with. Please consider that.
