One of the receptionists was apologetic about it and tried to get me in but the other one, Sherry, gave a snippy "so we make a mistakes, so....". How about her losing sick hours to take time of her work for nothing. The inconsideration of some people is just astounding. But having something about "god" tattooed on her arm. Yes, very "Christian" behavior indeed! I requested a sheet of exercises to do at home instead. Not going back there.

More recently, I've had bilateral hip replacements and have had wonderful therapy results after both. Again, with such care and attention to recovery and beyond. My husband is now going to be receiving care from South Sound - Lacey. Due to his physician's scheduling and re-scheduling of the surgery, Carrie and Dani have very kindly and creatively rearranged appts twice in order to get my husband in. They definitely went well above and beyond in taking care of our needs. Such a great team!

Suzi was absolutely amazing and assured me that my neck would return to normal function and still loved me and wanted me back in a nice long committed relationship. She got me a list of exercises and had a bunch of great tips on working (ie, don't sit in front of a PC 15 hours a day and wonder why you are in pain, duh!) and I was in and out in 30 minutes. I very much appreciated how clean everything was, and they were great about making sure I sanitized and kept my germs safely to myself (and vice versa). My records were confused with another patient multiple times- to the point that the Tacoma office was calling me about missing appointments at their office even though those appointment weren't for me. Also, this location seems very stressed and understaffed and every time I went, it never seemed like a continuation of my last appointment. I would be giving exercises to do but then the next appointment I was just given new ones without any follow up on the prior exercises. I didn't feel like i was really given any opportunity to continue and grow from past appointments.

One thing I love more than anything is his outside of the box/text book approach to healing. He does not give up and didn't let me leave until my discomfort was gone. Today he used a "Dry Needling" technique on my shoulder to relieve muscle tension, and it worked, followed by cervical manipulation. When we finished, he educated me on my at home workouts for maximum healing. This guy knows his stuff. I recommend him over any physical therapist and seeing him before considering chiropractic care. A little background on him: Chris is the owner of Puget Sound Physical Therapy. Graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2009. In 2012, he was awarded his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In 2015, Chris was accepted for admission into an orthopedic manual therapy fellowship. In 2017, Chris was awarded board certification as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. And he's not stopping there, he's currently continuing his education with his Fellowships.

These guys are THE BEST. I have done PT pretty consistently for the last 10 years due to ankle…read moreinjuries (because I'm a klutz) and a spine injury from being rear-ended. I have worked with some very good PTs over the years. Zach and Stephanie are better! The care and attention they (and their team) provide is top notch, and they are incredibly knowledgeable. I have never felt rushed through my appointments, and have plenty of dedicated 1:1 time with my PT. Their PTA's, Damon & Svenja are just as amazing as Zach & Stephanie. Guiding you through your stretches & exercises, providing incredible support and expertise to make sure you're doing it right. As with any PT program, you have to trust the process. My baseline was unable to leverage a glass of water in front of me, and unable to sit or stand for more than 30 minutes without significant pain. Stephanie started me off with such tiny movements and stretches that I wondered if it would even work. The end result has been steady progress without any major setbacks, and the appropriate amount of discomfort. (You just can't avoid discomfort when you're rebuilding musculature) Stephanie takes into consideration my day to day life, how I need (and want) to function, and has tailored treatment to help me move through the world on my terms. All while getting closer every day to being pain free. The warmth and connection from them to their patients is felt the instant you walk through the door. I am confident they can help anyone. Over the last several months I have watched them rehab teens with sports injuries, middle aged folks with chronic injuries, and seniors recovering from surgery. Our family of four has received PT at OPT at one time or another. The Physical Therapists are both knowledgeable and professional as you work to recovery. Their facilities are clean, roomy and have plenty of equipment and stations (and personnel!) to assist many clients with careful monitoring and encouragement as you move through exercises. Bonus: the Hawks Prairie facility has a therapeutic pool should you need it!
