Don't trust the low reviews this place is IT! We were looking for an easy but amazing steakhouse on a Thursday evening- we were sat right away and the service the entire evening was superb steaks were cooked to perfection and the appetizer was also delicious (artichoke dip) my son ordered a rib eye he said it was not over seasoned and he loved it. I had the filet mignon and again cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back- maybe even over the next few days! Thanks for a lovely evening and an awesome experience

My husband said it was the best New York steak he's ever had. Very tender I had salmon and it was very good, it just didn't have a side

Food was not bad but for what they are charging, its not even right. Calamari appetizer was for sure previously frozen as it was rubbery and a joke for charging $16. 10 oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and veggies for $38 is plain stupid. Meat was so thin and the potatoes tasted like spud flakes out of the box and veggies looked like was from a elementary cafeteria. ONLY thing worth it there was their 89 cabernet from Rutherford Hills for $44. I was so disappointed and left hungry that I had to stop by McDonalds and get some chicken nuggets.

We loved our dinner here. We all wanted a great steak and we did get that. The host and our waiter were all so friendly and helpful. I had the fillet which had the most amazing char on it . Every one else had prime rib. For the most part every one was happy. My husband's had a little more fat than he likes. We sat in their peaceful quiet beautiful patio. Great perfect weather. Can't wait to go back

Our experience here was really odd. First of all, the dining room is freezing. It was almost as if they had the air conditioning on in late February. It was actually warmer outside at 8:30 pm than in the dining room. Our server was very friendly but easily distracted, frequently forgetting things. The music was obnoxiously loud given how few parties were in the dining room. The caesar salad was missing the white anchovies, the mushrooms were pretty much standard button mushrooms, and the "loaded" potato was pretty light on the garnishes. The steak was the highlight of the night--perfectly cooked and just smoky enough--but the steak was not enough to overcome the other weaknesses of the service.

This place was gorgeous! We came here after a Jeep ride in the Sedona mountains. But we were still welcomed in our casual gear. The food was spectacular, especially the steaks! But the ambiance...wow! This is definitely a must when in Sedona! Great drinks, food and service! We had a great server by the name of Angie who was funny and took great care of us!

I went to Steakhouse89 for my birthday while we were in town. It was really good! The service was spot on. We originally had a reservation for outdoors but it was raining so changing our seating to indoors was not a problem. We started with potato skins and shrimp cocktail. I liked the cocktail sauce. It had some kick to it but it was not too spicy. My husband has the swordfish and really liked it. I had a filet and Brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were amazing! The steak was cooked correctly though it didn't have the greatest plating presentation but I didn't care, it tasted great. I also got chimichurri sauce for my steak which also had a great flavor. The kids also annoyed their kids meals. They served our desert with a birthday message. It was cute and much appreciated. Overall it was a great experience and we will go back.

You get One of the stars because one out of our three meals was good, that was the ribs. The other star is for the environment, it's a beautiful restaurant with excellent heaters outside for those cold nights. Which is where me and my family sat. There was hardly anyone here today on a Sunday night. So we were expecting a slightly faster service, but that was a misbelief. I never received my side of extra garlic aioli, even though I asked 3 times and the coleslaw was absolutely terrible. Popeyes kitchen serves better coleslaw that this, and that's me saying the least about that. The worst dinner received was, ironically, the steak. At this steak house my father ordered the 84$ porter house. He's a steak guy, so he was excited for it. But when he received it, which was about an hour later it was completely Well done. He ordered it medium well. Just wasn't the great experience we expected for our last night in Sedona. Thanks anyways. Ps. Before I leave, Craig was still a good server. Even gave me a free dessert and gave my father a new steak. I won't change the stars though because my father slightly lost His appetite after we all ate without him. He never finished his steak. Hey, Maybe we will try again next time, dad loves his steak.......just likes it Medium well.

Steakhouse89 was a pleasant surprise after hiking Devil's Bridge Trail. We had a large group here for a birthday celebration and enjoyed our meal. The owner was welcoming and even gave away small sea salt scrubs after we raved about how amazing it was in the bathrooms. We enjoyed the live piano on a Saturday night as well. Highlights: Shrimp & Grits - Made the way I like - creamy, but with some grit texture so it's not all mush. Buttery and rich in flavor. Lobster Bisque - Omg the cream and butter in here were heavenly! Salads - Solid, nothing notable. The caesar had a questionable presentation of a limp anchovy. The burrata in the heirloom tomato salad was very creamy and fresh. Seared Diver Scallops - Scallops were tender and seasoned well. The forbidden rice was overly sweet though. Smoked Baby Back Ribs - Great sauce and fairly good ribs, though a little fatty. Prime Rib - I don't eat much prime rib, but this was one of the more plump and juicy cuts I've tried. Bacon Mac & Cheese - Great cheese texture, and the bacon didn't hurt. I could eat this as a main! Herb Roasted Mushrooms - Slightly heavy on the salt, but great umami. Chimichurri Fries - I was expecting a hearty drizzle of chimichurri sauce, but the topping was actually dry. Otherwise not bad. Sweet Potato Fries - Soggy, needed more time and salt. Our servers were cheerful, though a little forgetful of drinks and water refills. For alcohol, cocktails are the way to go here. The wine list was probably the weakest link - seeing Beringer White Zinfandel sold at a steakhouse was interesting (as much as I loved it in college!).

What kind of beer do they have?

They recently redid the whole bar area. The bar is much bigger now and with that came more beer, with some being craft beer.

The staff were accommodating over the phone when we were checking to see how busy they were and in person too! Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful to the best of their abilities. My table started off with the Roasted Beet Salad, it's definitely perfect as a wonderfully light and sweet fruit medley which includes apples, strawberries, pecans, beets, and more. Super worth it to try with your meal as it's a sweet and refreshingly appetizer. For the entrees, my table had the Lamb chop lollipops , all-American breakfast, and Chilaquiles. The lamb was a perfect tender bite alongside small blocks of cheese, watermelon, and blueberries which was an interesting combo. The Chilaquiles were a nice mouthful of classic mexican breakfast flavors like the pico and jalepenos atop the tortilla chips soaking in the green sauce. Lastly, the American breakfast is a great portion of food for someone that wants a little bit of everything when it comes to breakfast time. The french toast with powdered sugar was a delightful sweet bite. Overall, I recommend this place to everybody in the area at least once!
