Double 'n Cheese Steakburger Combo (no onion, no pickle)
    Sandra B.

This Wednesday evening, my husband and I had a taste for burgers with thin beef patties (similar to a smash burger.) Considering the area we were in, S&S was the closest to what we wanted. Based on some of the reviews, we were a bit hesitant. They must be under new management because our food was delicious. We ordered two double cheeseburgers with fries along with drinks. Of course, my husband emphasized hot and fresh and the cook must've heard him. I removed a star because the drive-thru cashier wasn't friendly. We also felt rushed even though no one was behind us. Kudos to the cook!

My wife ordered the chili earlier today. I'm crying because after one look, she winced and threw it away stating that it looked less than appetizing. Wonder if anyone feels the same? I don't eat beef, so the only items that I consume from this restaurant are the fries and a Coca Cola on the side! Happy eating. Support our local businesses!!

    UNCOOKED GRILLED CHEESE
    Audriana J.

I ordered a grilled cheese kids meal from here and this is what I got... 2 pieces of COLD, NON GRILLED Cheese, AND bread!!!! If I wanted 2 pieces of cold bread and non melted cheese I would have stayed home and let my Dog make me a grilled cheese :) So I had to come home and MAKE myself a grilled cheese.. then my apple sauce was busted open so obviously it spilled in the bag, and my husbands burger was freaking COLD!!! And to top it off, the young man with the long curly hair had the most HORRIBLE attitude/customer service. I'm not understanding WHY this place is being ran like this. No wonder you guys only have 2 out of 5 stars on your reviews... if I could give you NEGATIVE stars, I'd give you 100 of them

Giving them a 2 because the milkshakes are good! But the quality of food is not. Food is very bland. My fries were stale as well.

Not happy with my food or experience at all. The owner wasn't very friendly when I asked him about…read moreitems on the menu. I inquired about the pulled pork sandwich came with coleslaw. He looked and dryly said no. Then I asked if the burger was a hamburger or a cheeseburger. Again dryly he said it cost extra for cheese. I should have just left then but I wanted to patronize a local small business. I figured a grilled hamburger would be pretty good. So I ordered and he said he would bring it to me it would take 5 mins. I was the only person there. So he brought my food and I opened it up there and the disappointment on my face. The bread was hard. Toasted for to long. And the burger was just a frozen patty that had been put on the grill. I was hoping it would be a homemade fresh ground beef burger put on the grill but as you can see my the pictures that was not the case. Super dry. Overall not happy. Not worth the $5!

My husband and I had a taste for grilled hotdogs one Saturday evening. Based on a few Yelp reviews,…read morewe decided to give this place a shot. Our GPS took us straight to it. We ordered 4 hotdogs: two with ketchup and mustard (3/5) and two with slaw (4/5). My husband also decided to get a 1/2 slab of ribs (3/5). I never put ketchup on my hotdog so don't ask me why I did it this time SMH. The server, who we assumed was the owner, was courteous and about the business of delivering orders in a timely manner. There was a steady flow of customer traffic. The prices were affordable. We sat in our truck and ate. We could've also eaten on the dining tables on the lot.

Me and my friend went here for a happy hour celebration. The catfish bites were OK. I just wished…read morethat maybe they would cut up two pieces of catfish instead of one for the nuggets, but it was only five dollars so you can't really beat that deal and it comes. I would definitely say my server could have done a better job and we got most of the things that we needed from Other service there because she was pretty absent however, overall our experience was a four out of five. The ambience is your typical lounge. It's pretty chill no thanks spectacular however, I would go back because the drinks were very good and you can't be a five dollar deal after work.

I've been for happy hour a few times. If you get there I'd say before 6 the music level is ok,…read moreespecially during the weekday. After 6, expect to have to yell at the person next to you. My friends have tried attending and found the music level too loud & left. If it's supposed to be a restaurant, then maybe save the loud music til after 9 for the club vibe? ‍ We came for dinner Sunday, 7/27/25. There was a good mix of R&B & hip hop, with more R&B, I'd say. My husband, "can't do boopity-boo," and was able to hang in there until bingo. I'l come back to that. I ordered the Baldwin Hills, which was fruity, but strong. The bartenders need to get on the same page tho, because the 1st one was definitely better than the 2nd one. I'm from LA & Baldwin Hills is above the area where I grew up, so I had to represent with that drink. Normally, I'm a whiskey/bourbon lady, but vodka is my white liquor preference so I was good. The food is good. We started with the jerk chicken eggrolls. It was definitely fried hard, or maybe refried from earlier? Idk. It was not as light as the picture. Due to the lighting & how hard they were fried, I had to do some editing to make them visible. The server said they weren't too spicy. They come in 4 pieces. The 1st piece I had was definitely mild. My husband said they had a kick when he bit into his, but I didn't get that...that is until I had the 2nd one! Whew! All the spice was in that piece! I'd say slightly spicier than a little kick. They were tasty tho. We both waited a while for our entrees. The table next to us, also only with a couple had their food come out before ours, though they came in as we were finishing our appetizer I think. We'd already placed our entree order by the time they came. The server apologized for the delay on our food and said it would be out in a few minutes. It was more like 10-15 minutes before they brought out his entree. The person who brought it out, maybe the manager?, said she didn't want his food to get cold waiting on mine to come out. It took another 10-15 minutes, if not longer, for my food to come out, with no explanation. My husband ordered the fried catfish entreè with spinach & rice pilaf. He enjoyed his food. His only issue was not having 2 fillets. As you can see the piece you get is sizable, soooo, if you have a big appetite, maybe also get the catfish on the happy hour too to supplement the meal. ‍ I'm trying to get into salmon & the honey bourbon salmon was good. It wasn't overly sweet and it didn't taste fishy, like salmon sometimes can. The spinach is good also. I had to send the potatoes back because they were not hot. As long as I waited for my food, I wasn't expecting lukewarm food. The server quickly brought out some hot potatoes and they were good. They have bingo on Sunday night @ 8; or at least it was 8-something that's night. Initially, the dj said it was an R&B bingo, but when the bingo paper was passed out, it had hip hop on it too. I'm familiar with some hip hop, but don't know all the artists' names, lol. It was still fun, but I knew I probably wasn't going to win lol. We sang during the songs (had to ID the artist on the bingo card), and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I'm glad to have this option in Douglasville and glad it's still here after a few years when some other restaurants have closed. They are also open late, which is good, as most restaurants in the area close at 9 or 10. I'd ask the owner to consider a grown and sexy night or an over 35 night with good R&B music that's played at a level that can be enjoyed and allowed conversation to flow. A line dance night would also be good. I met the owner when the 1st location in Atlanta opened on Edgewood. It just so happened we had family in town visiting from LA. They gave him the business lol about the drink names and the place, but really enjoyed the vibe. I'm glad to see the business flourishing and in multiple states. I wish continued success and that there will be some acceptance of the feedback provided.
