Reno Town Mall is one of those places that feels quietly underrated. The architecture is a solid…read morethrowback, very much old-school Reno, with wide open interior spaces that give it a nostalgic charm you don't see much anymore. It doesn't try to be flashy, and that's part of what makes it cool. One of the best surprises is having the Reno library right inside the mall. It adds a strong community feel and gives the space more purpose than a typical shopping center. You'll see people studying, families stopping in, and locals just passing through, which adds to the character. That said, it really feels like there's an opportunity here. I wish there were more stores and restaurants inside to help bring in more foot traffic and energy. With the architecture and built-in library already in place, a stronger mix of shops and food spots could easily turn this into a much more vibrant destination. It's not about high-end shopping or crowds. It's about atmosphere, history, and potential. If you appreciate classic architecture and unique local spaces, Reno Town Mall is still worth checking out.

Supported the following business while we were here - Proper Fit Footwear, Nevada Marketplace, and the library. 14 businesses; I guess the restaurants/businesses on the other side of the shopping center are not part of this mall...? Ambiance - Huge mall, but NOT busy at all. Good restaurants that we frequent on the other side of the shopping center. We rarely come this way. Plenty of mall parking, huge parking lots. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm or 7 pm, see picture. Events - See their website. Service - Good. Price - Proper Fit Footwear, got a pair of shoes for an amazing low price. Will be back in January to see the next set of shoes on sale. Nevada Marketplace - Slightly expensive, but is that (should that) be the cost to support local...? Library = Free, thank you. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since the 1970s...?

Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you're not familiar with side streets to use. But for the most part I walk in instead of driving. I enjoy walking to catch the many murals in the area. Often you have to veer off south Virginia Street to see many of them. It's worth it. So many great small locally owned businesses. New clothing boutiques and shops that offer recycled clothing. Many bars that range from fun divvy to a bit pricey with attitude. Venues to catch small music concerts, plays and improv performances. And then there's the restaurant scene- ice cream, brunch, Thai, Mexican, steakhouse, pizza, sandwiches, bakery and more. Take a day, maybe several and explore everything Midtown has to offer.

I said sure, just as long as you don't ask me to find identical snowflakes. We made our way to jostella as the snow was coming down hard. She got her window seat & i got my cappuccino. We like Midtown. It has nice cafes, restaurants, bars & consignment stores where you will see locals & out-of-towners pumping $$ into the city coffers.

We are very loyal customers. Quality/Quantity - Here for the Wax and Watch event DIG. My first time and what an amazing event. Fundraising for so many nonprofits, see pictures. Also sponsored by Fifty Fifty Brewing Co; I had a few too many beers, too good of a time. I also found out about Fifty's Grand opening at RPM, which we also supported and attended the next day, see other Yelp Review. Non alcoholic drinks were also available. Too lazy to have brought our equipment for the wax. Plus Mt Rose gives us each 4 free waxes that I rarely use up. Raffle - We did NOT win. Atmosphere - Clean and organized location. Love the NV art on the side of the building/in the parking lot. Cool! See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Small parking lot, but because we came in off peak (weird) hours, it is rarely an issue for us. And today we got lucky as the lot was full but a car gave us his space. Service - The team is so welcoming and friendly. This is the #1 reason we are loyal customers. Events available - See website. Again, my first but NOT last time that I will attend an event. We will probably come back Sunday for the Mt Rose Passholder Spring Sale. Price - Expensive, but worth the quality, service, and culture. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And thank you for also giving 1% to not-for-profit workers "to defend the earth." And having programs that raise awareness of environmental and social issues. My favorite program is Worn Wear. You can either sell Patagonia your used clothes or trade them in so they can fix it. I believe that reusing is better than recycling. Furthermore, they give you credit ranging from $15 to $150.
