I stayed here for a weekend in May and had such a peaceful time!…read more Customer service was flawless. My room literally felt like a second home. It was comfortable and cozy! I enjoyed having the nice size kitchen in combination with a bedroom and closet vibe as well as a front room set up with a flat screen TV and couch. I felt like I was in my own little studio. The Breakfast was amazing! The area was well stocked and clean. The healthy choice options were a real treat! From the multigrain buckwheat waffles, to the eggs and even the 100% the juice. And the biscuits were OH SO DELICIOUS! The pool area was of great size, plenty of seating, and well kept. Shockingly, the water was SO COLD! I was eventually able to fully get in the water to swim a bit, but then saw floating particles in the water, which grossed me out. I'm not sure what it was or where it came from. I'm not even sure how often the pool is cleaned. But I surely didn't stay in there long after noticing. The gym was satisfactory. They have your basic machines, yoga mats, weighed balls, and a great size mirror along side a rack of dumb bells. The towel rack and sanitizing wipes were stocked and everything was functional. I was happy to be able to get a wonderful workout in during my stay. Check out process was easy peasy. A relaxing weekend was had , and I'm so glad I stayed in the perfect place to do just that.

Check-in was a breeze, the person at the desk was fantastic! However, we did run into a few hiccups…read morein the room. The bathtub had no door or curtain, which meant water went everywhere, making the floor super slippery. And, uh, there were some... hairs... stuck to the bathroom ceiling. Definitely not the most appealing sight! The faucet was also loose, and the corner of the tub showed some rust from all the splashing. When we got back from our outing, there were shampoo and conditioner bottles left right by the door. The pool was another story. The water was freezing and pretty murky. On the plus side, the breakfast lady was an absolute star! Such a hard worker. It was a bit of a contrast to the check-in girl who wasn't too helpful when I asked about coffee (they'd run out). She just said it wasn't her job to tell the breakfast person.

My husband had stayed at this hotel on previous trips and booked it again based on its proximity to downtown Detroit, value, and cleanliness. I had to agree with his assessment of the hotel. The front staff was friendly when we walked in for a late-night check in and the parking lot was full. We booked one king sized bed for two nights and were pleased with the spaciousness and updated decor of the room. The bathroom was large compared to other hotels I've stayed in. You could have two people at the bathroom counter and each would have plenty of space. The beds were VERY comfortable! I slept through the entire night and never tossed or turned. There was minimal outside noise, and the noise we could hear was because our room was situated across from the main elevator. This hotel offers a complimentary breakfast which ran from 6:00AM to 10:00AM. Both hot foods and cold foods were provided. Hot foods included bacon, sausage, eggs, a waffle maker, and oatmeal. A selection of cereals, yogurt, bagels, and donuts were available as well. The employee managing the breakfast area was friendly, smiling, and energetic. She greeted each guests as they entered the breakfast area, which was a nice way to start the day! There's a wide selection of restaurants and gas stations near the hotel. Wendy's and Taco Bell are on the properties adjacent to the hotel and can be accessed by walking from the hotel parking lot. I would recommend this hotel to travelers visiting the Detroit area. My husband and I will continue to book this hotel when we visit for the auto show each year. We were about a 20 minute drive from the Cobo Center and saved ourselves a lot of money by staying outside of the city and driving in. My husband booked the room well in advance and got the rate for $87/night. The priced jumped up to $120/night closer to the auto show date.

We were all very hungry and put our bags down and went next door to eat (can walk to Mallies or other fast food venues). I walked to the gas station after dinner to pick up a few snacks and when I come back my family is at the front counter. The corner of the room had several bugs on the floor. At first it appeared they were dead, but when we went to move our belongings I did see what looked like a centipede very much alive. We were given a bug free room directly above this one. My wife and I did a thorough inspection to ensure that. Rooms appear to be recently remodeled. Room was quite large with a jacuzzi tub. Not sure if it is only the jacuzzi rooms but I have never seen a shower this small. It was tiny. Bed was comfortable. As with a suite, it did have a microwave and fridge in the room. Pool was nice enough. Location was good right off the exit. Breakfast was average the next day. Eggs and sausage. Not too crowded. I was primarily concerned about the bugs and the fact a manager never reached out to me. I would not stay here again. Hotels along this line are a dime a dozen, and without bugs.
