These guys are the best. We were staying in Temecula As I started the car up, I heard some noises, and all the lights on dash lit up. Overnight, a cat had crawled into by engine bay and dislodged my serpentine belt. We were already running late for our appointment and were looking to catch an Uber. I didn't get any service from this business; however, I just had my tires rotated and balanced at Big O Tires. Much after I had left, I noticed that there was a black rectangular cap that read, Air Filter, Laying on the floor of my passenger side. I called Big O and asked what it was...the manager said "Oh, one of the guys must have left it off...just swing over and we'll put it back on." Swing over...!? I live on the other side of town, a swing over will literally amount to an hour gone from my day....not to mention the hour I spent in the morning getting my tires rotated! How does a tire rotation equal air conditioning filter??? I'm not a mechanic, but some how I think that the two have absolutely no relation! And the cap came from my glove compartment box...so, unless the tires are rotated through the glove box, what in the world is that piece doing off? So, Steve overheard me and said he knew where it went and would put it back on. Steve saved the day!!! Not only did he not have to help, he did so gladly. He saved me time, but even bigger to me, he saved me the gas that I would have spent driving back over to have the incompetent people who took it off in the first place. If I ever need anything done on my car, this place will absolutely get my business. If this is how Stay Tuned Auto treats non-customers, I can only think that actual customers are in GREAT hands. Okay this is not the first time I've used his services, so I can vouch for him completely. Today, I got an idiot light on a 1999 Toyota Tacoma. I do work on my own vehicles, so I tried to figure it out. I even reset the light so that if it was something dumb like a loose gas cap or whatever it would stay gone. The light came back and I hadn't solved anything. Turned out to be a splitting vacuum hose. He found it before the computer even finished giving him the error code. I ran into Steve several years back at the Temecula Walmart oil change place. He was in the automotive department buying oil. I saw his truck and started asking him questions. He came across like a very nice, subtle, understated young man. His knowledge-base was very impressive. This was the kind of person I trusted right off the bat. Unfortunately, I lost his card and went on over-spending at various shops for years after. It wasn't until recently that I found his card and called him immediately as I thought my Corolla needed brakes (they were scrapping I thought). Steve came over the next day, removed my tires and quickly diagnosed that none of my pads needed changing and that I didn't have to pay him for his inspection (I guess they are free). If and when my pads needed changing, he would do them for $80 labor and parts included. Since then, he has worked on my cars fixing rear tailgate handles, rear lights, oil change, brakes/rotors. All at my driveway/street with NO MESS. I highly trust and recommend Steve for ANY car repair. He is honest, polite, likeable and reliable. Best of all he is very affordable.
