From the moment I sat down in Lecs' chair (also known as @_Cherrygirlhair on Instagram), for my haircut appointment, it felt like a dream come true. She is, without a doubt, the stylist of a lifetime. Super friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming, you can immediately tell she carries so much professional experience and talent in everything she does. The experience was perfect from beginning to end. She made me feel comfortable right away, her conversation was fun and interesting, and I never once felt rushed. She checked in with me throughout the entire process, made sure I was okay, and always asked if I needed any changes. I could trust her con mis ojos cerrados, and that means everything. My hair has never felt so cared for, she truly took her time, made me feel seen, and delivered results beyond what I even imagined. Honestly, this was the best experience of my life, and I will absolutely continue to come back. Thank you, Lecs, for making me feel beautiful, for your dedication, and for creating an experience that feels like home. 10000/10, she's a dream. read more

Went to Station X to get red ghost roots done and I was more than happy with the result. The salon itself is very nice and has a positive vibe so for the hours I was there it went by like nothing. Victoria did my hair for me and she went above and beyond and actually exceeded my expectations for what I thought my hair would look like. I've never dyed my hair before so I was a little nervous for how it'd turned out but it came out looking much better than what I was expecting. read more

I booked a curly cut at this salon because it was closer to my house. Unfortunately, I was left with uneven layers. I have booked curly cuts in the past and they assess my curl pattern to avoid this mistake. The stylist at this salon cut off way too much length and made it so noticeably uneven. I would rather commute to a salon that specializes in curly hair. read more

Got my hair done by Victoria and shes my absolute favorite!!! Her work is top tier and she listened to my ideas and gave great input I didn't consider with my hair type. She's got tons of knowledge and knows exactly what to do. She's like a mind reader. I left with a full color and trim and I've been loving my hair. Her tips also helped with my dry hair issues. The salon is also really cool. Everyone is friendly and theres so much cool stuff to look at. Is was great time station x salon and JM she did good job my hair cut i have not busy and come back for haircut

TLDR; lovely salon (5 star), but I cannot recommend Jessica after my experience. I was charged $475 for the worst highlights I have ever gotten and a subpar cut; both were truly horrible the first time around and only the haircut was better after the correction. I paid heftily and was absolutely dissatisfied with my results. Photo with my hair bright blond was my reference, 2 photos with unnatural highlights is what I first got without the correction (I was horrified), and the last photo is what my hair looks like now, absolutely not what I asked for. I preface this review as it is only my reflection of getting a blonding service from Jessica. The salon was beautiful, clean, and the other ladies were really kind and lovely. I saw Jessica twice, once for my appointment, and a second time for a correction. At my first appointment, I was excited to bring my hair the brightness it used to have and showed Jessica a photo of myself, with my hair looking like I wanted it to. Jessica assured me she can do that and began working. I had called the salons days prior to move my appointment to an earlier time because I had a time restraint, which meant I had to leave the salon 3 hours after my appointment. I was reassured this will be enough time on the phone and also by Jessica in person. Jessica let me know she will be doing half highlights to reach my desired result in the time constraint and I agreed. She then began the service. There were no issues during the service initially, but when it came time to allow my hair to lift, Jessica asked me when I would have to leave. I re-iterated the time to her and she said we may not be able to get as bright as I wanted to. I was alarmed. I certainly did not want to impact the service by the time constraint and was previously assured I would not. I asked her to skip the haircut and even drying so that the color can be perfect. She said, oh actually the hair is lifted and then remove the foils and washed my hair. I was a bit alarmed but decided to move forward. As she dried my hair, I began to see that my hair was no where near the color I had asked. Then, Jessica informed me she actually went with full highlights instead of half highlights as we previously agreed. I was a bit frustrated because I would have preferred that she focused on making my pieces brighter in the time we had. This was the first time I felt Jessica was concerned about increasing service cost. Earlier in the session, when Jessica asked about whether I wanted a haircut, I said that I just wanted a few face framing pieces. Fast forward to now near the end of my service, Jessica cut these pieces in what I promise was no longer than 2 minutes. Then, Jessica said "and I will cut an inch of the back?" I agreed. This must have been the quickest haircut of my life. It lasted at most, 5 minutes. COST: the website for this salon advertises 200+ for highlights, having thicker hair, I thought my cost could be around $300, or 50% more than the advertised price. I was a bit surprised at the nearly double price Jessica mentioned, $380. And the 5 minute haircut? $95. I would not mind paying more for my hair color had it been the result I wanted. When I got home and saw the top of my head, I was shocked. The hair color was off and so unnatural, the opposite of what I requested. The pieces were no where the icier blond I requested and that Jessica confirmed she will be able to achieved. I fully recall her saying "so an icier blond?" And myself being excited. I came in the next day for a correction at 9 AM. Jessica was nearly 20 minutes late. The unnatural blending of the highlights were corrected, and the haircut was nice. At the end, I was clearly disappointed. Jessica mentioned my hair was not bright because she would need another session, I asked her 1) why she didn't mention it at first that she can't get to my desired result and 2) how can that be possible if I used MY OWN image for reference achieved in 1 session. She then mentioned that my ends still have a little yellow in them, so she recommends another session. I was shocked at the audacity. I really appreciate the kindness of the salon management, and want to re-iterate that this experience was marred only by my stylist, and what I felt, was a non-transparent process. If the stylist felt that she couldn't achieve what I asked, that should have been communicated before touching my hair. I am now leaving on vacation disappointed & sad. read more

Jess has been my stylist for years! I didn't know what I wanted to do with my hair this time around and I let her surprise me with a cut of her choice. I was not disappointed!! I had an amazing appointment with Lu! This is my first appointment at Station X and with Lu, and I felt so comfortable and relaxed. Before washing my hair, we talked about the style and haircut I wanted and Lu took into consideration the style I had shown them in the pictures as well as how I normally style my hair (curtain bangs in the photo reference vs how I wear my hair in a side part). Once we started working on my hair, we had great little chats getting to know one another and the haircut flew by! Lu even showed me a few ways to style my hair, showing me some low maintenance styles routine and then showing me how to style my hair when I want to get a done up. if you make an appointment, do NOT book with jessica respectfully. the process took too long and was nothing close to what i asked for. the haircut which was just a trim cost a whopping $95, and the hair dying process cost even more even though there's barely anything changed on my hair. i tried to go in with no expectations and i was still let down. i was severely disappointed by the service especially when this place was hyped up a lot on the internet. it took too much time and produced little to no results. obnoxiously overpriced and bad quality. read more

I was in town for my brother's wedding and called around looking for a blowout for my niece and I. I was so relieved as I was told their tech could do it, quoted me about 45 mins per blowout (we definitely had time constraints and I made this known). I asked if the stylist had experience with blowouts and I was told yes; however, it was quickly evidenced that she did not. Please keep in mind that I get blowouts 2-3x per week and although I am not a hairstylist, I am used to the technique the stylist uses to get great results. I showed pics of what I wanted for both my niece and I; very simple blowout with straightening of our shorter A-line cuts (less than shoulder length). When complete, my niece's hair was uneven and had a wave towards the front, not what I asked for at all. 15 mins into doing mine, I was already panicked as I noticed she was blow drying uneven and left the entire underside of my hair damp. I kept letting her know that I was concerned and she kept telling me "it will be okay, I will straighten it". She was only using hairspray (which I hate) and put no smoothing product in my hair at all. At this point I was very unhappy and anxious; we were already 10 mins past the point where I needed to leave. Our stylist then recruited help from another stylist, asking her to help get my hair straight! I'm sorry but if you need help getting hair straight, maybe further training is needed?! While straightening my hair, the new woman stated "you have a lot of hair! Why so much?!" HUH? I literally have 4 tape in extensions on each side of my head... and it's less than shoulder length! I felt this was just a passive aggressive way of blaming the customer for the first girl's lack of experience. I use about 5 stylists in my hometown who each can do my blowout in 50 mins or less and have never once complained that I have "too much" hair. I asked that my niece's hair be fixed before we left (which it was) but at this point, we were already 40 mins later than what I was quoted for the completion of the appointment. The real shocker was when I went to pay and I was charged $75 per blowout! I asked why so much and I was told "for blowout and style". WHAT STYLE?! The blowout technique was so horrible that there was no way she could get it straight, had to call in for backup, put us way behind and then I was charged $150 (plus tip)?!I was honestly so frustrated and late at this point, I had no energy left to argue it. What was already a hectic weekend was left to be even more so due to the lack of experience by the original stylist; we barely made it to the church on time for my brother's wedding and missed the entire session of helping my sister in law get into her gown. I will say that I am grateful that the second stylist was able to save our hair but I wouldn't chance coming here if you have a special occasion to attend. Please note: my attached pic was NOT done by Station X. It was done by my local stylist. I wanted to more or less show the length of my hair (it is actually 1.5" shorter than the posted pic) It should not have taken 1.5 hours on my hair to achieve this look. read more

Just moved out of the area and was super sad to have to find a hairstylist in my new state. Amber Hallett is a fantastic hairstylist-- she doesn't rush, asks a lot of questions, and has excellent attention to detail (especially important for pixie hair). She does a great job layering the back of my short hair; other stylists have a tendency to want to stack the back of my hair, which I hate... if you're in the Campbell area, Amber is great! My review is specifically for JANET! Today she was able to fit me in super last minute when I finally decided to take the plunge and cut my super long hair after not cutting it for 3 whole years! I have had a lot of bad luck with hair stylists in the past and almost always end up not returning (hence why it took me so long to cut my hair this time around!) but I am very, very happy to say that I will most certainly be returning to Janet. The first thing that was a good sign to me was that she was super excited when I explained my situation and showed her the picture of what I was looking for. Her excitement and her great attitude instantly made my nerves melt away. The next thing that I really appreciated was that she listened and made me feel confident before, during, and after that I was getting what I wanted both in look and maintenance. I usually try to explain to hair stylists that I am super low maintenance and don't use any products or appliances or even blow my hair. Most hair stylists I've been to have been sort of unsupportive of this, but she assured me she would make sure to give me a cut that would look good air-dried with my slight wavy style hair. Throughout the haircut, Janet was super communicative. She explained what she was doing and why, and she made me feel very confident that she was doing what was going to look best and work best for me. My hair looks so amazing and I can't recommend her enough!!! Thank you to Janet, you certainly have a new client in me! read more

It was time to take our preteen to try to give him a hairstyle. If any of you are familiar with the common behavior of preteen boys. It is well within their behavior to exert independence by growing out their hair. It's as if they are growing it out, so they can create a barrier to hide behind. They need a barrier to brood behind, in secrecy. One has to be somewhat stealthy in trying to broach the subject of haircuts. You try over a series of weeks until you break them enough to schedule an appointment. Then once they agree you have a very small window to get an appointment. This weekend was such a moment. I asked my daughter for her stylist since she always gets a great structured cut. Her hairstylist is Adriana. I took the boy to our scheduled appointment Saturday at 4. His hair helmet was particularly unkept Saturday. Thank goodness we got an appointment. Adriana has her work cut out for her. First she tackled the neckline. It was no small feet. Soon I began to see his face. I knew he was in there. Adriana followed his requests and gave him a style he can easily groom himself. Adriane took time and listened to what he wanted and gave him a great cut. The salon is kitsch and located on a main street in Campbell. I recommend Adriana,She takes her time to listen very closely to what you want and delivers an excellent outcome. read more

I was looking to cut my hair, in a not so "normal way" and i went to tons of places and everyone gave me way over priced quotes. just by looking at me and deciding i had "black people hair" (because im 1/2 black 1/2 white) and being a hair stylist you should at least ask to touch to get a feel of it,, or they would say that the look i wanted to achieve wasnt possible. Well i was walking my dog and noticed this place. went in and met Jason, He has been amazing. Id go in with an idea, and instead of pissing and moaning or trying to convince me out of it, (since i have been going since i was 16) he would be excited and wonder when we could start, id look forward to the next 6 weeks when i would change it again to something else every time. And I trust him, some times i would go in and just say do what ever you want. and it would always be something i enjoyed. And conversation was never, ever dull. which is good since sometimes a total reconstruction of your hair can take a while. The place has an artsy fartsy feel to it but i really like the hanging mirrors. Ill post a few pictures of some of the hair styles he could do for me that others said couldn't happen, read more

I've been going to Faux for a year now, and so far I've never had a color job that I haven't liked...some I've liked more than others, but I have an overall satisfaction with the salon. It's an expensive salon, but I always say, you get what you pay for. Lately I've been going to Coco. She does a fine job with color. She spends time talking to you about your hair and what would look best on you. I really enjoy the one-on-one attention you get from her. I would also recommend Gina. She is very talented and great with color. My only issue with her is that the times I went to her she had 2 or 3 clients going at the same time...spending about 10 minutes with them, and then her assistant would take over. Her assistant does the majority of the work. In a way, I understand, because the assistant is an aspiring stylist, and how else is she going to learn? Maybe if she had done a better job at at styling, it wouldn't have been such a issue for me? I don't know. read more

I've been coming to Faux off and on for several years. The first time I came, I was dedicated to a stylist that eventually moved, so I tried several different salons, punctuated by visits to Faux. I've seen Gina and she is to die for. I've seen Emily and she is great, too. Cari did an excellent job on my hair. I should know by now that I need to plan my salon visits there well ahead of time to see a preferred stylist, but my life doesn't have the sort of consistency that allows for planning that far ahead. So I usually schedule a week to several days in advance. I recently made an appointment and none of the above were available, but only had one certain day that I could get my hair done, so they had me see another stylist. I will not mention her name because I really don't want the poor girl to get in trouble. She was a nice girl, but told me way too much about her personal excapades the night before, as well as some, eh... *incriminating* information about another person who works at the salon. Ok, I am down for fun and partying like everyone else and I am certainly not a prude, but I have never met this person before and I feel that maybe I should know someone a little better before being told so much. Anyhow, I was there for color and a cut. Cleaned up my cut and that was easy enough, but I really needed the whole shape cleaned up, not just a little trim. The color was ok, she said it would change into something more like I had asked (was there for highlights). I am now sitting here three weeks later with a really icky color and now I have to find the time and money to do it all over again. In the meantime, I have sad hair color. I wanted to be lighter and now I am darker... Not happy. I would give this place four or five stars but they don't accept bank cards (cash or check only) and I think they need to put more effort in teaching stylists how much to tell a new client, as well as training those with not much experience on how to manage color and highlights properly. Not sure if I will go back... May be time to move on from Faux. read more

She repeated back to me exactly what I had requested before she did anything. She took the time to listen to me and what I really wanted and she did exactly that. It was expensive, but well worth the results that I got. I would totally recommend going to see Iris at Faux Salon. read more
