Basically every screen in the place was must-watch TV and the bartender -- understandably distracted, perhaps -- decided that was the ideal moment to restock straws and cut fruit. We waited. In the heat. Our server was genuinely good when he materialized, which wasn't as often as we'd have liked. Food: the cheese curds earned their reputation. The Mekts burger was fine -- solid, no complaints. The Reuben rolls, however, arrived looking exactly like what they were: a Sysco product plated with minimal ceremony. Hard pass next time. As for the name -- if you're picturing a dock, pilings, maybe a gull or two -- walk outside and squint hard past the road and the rooftops. Big lake's out there somewhere. Technically. We had our menus filled out by the time he came and took our drink orders. We ordered fairly simple drinks, but he kept asking me and my friend to repeat our drink order. When I repeated "casamigos reposado", he rolled his eyes at me and said "obviously". He was clearly annoyed he had to serve us, and only after we finished our food did he ask if we wanted refills. I've never had such terrible service at The Garage and I would not stay if I walked in and he was behind the bar. I know this isn't the norm for The Garage, but it's disappointing that they employ childish bartenders.

We got a table right at the main entrance and we were served promptly and pleasantly. I got help with ordering, which can be common for first timers, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. They have a nice tap list so getting a cold, refreshing beer was a must! My one critique if you will, the fries were limp.. not soggy but definitely not crispy. I didn't even bother finishing them, but the burger was filling enough that it didn't matter much. If I am in the area, I would stop here again and try a different burger, because they all looked so dang good!!

The soup was delicious being rich in cheesy flavor with cheese strings and bacon bits on top. It was a full bodied flavor soup and with the bread I could have made a meal of just this. After finishing the soup, the burger and fries appeared. It was a hearty and very good tasting burger on a quality bread bun. Also the fries were very good tasting with a good potato flavor.
