Was at this location on 2/28/26 to pick up meat at the deli counter. Since when was it okay for the two employees to completely ignore a customer for the longest time until the lady ( who was also rude ) at the bakery section pointed me out. Not only did they ignore me for a long time, I was given turkey instead of ham. How lazy do you have to be to not even check but to blatantly hand over the wrong product instead of actually doing your job? Very deceitful and unprofessional! On 10/19 I had a really disappointing experience at this location. Cashier Gavin was very careless and had poor customer service. I observed as Gavin tossed my items into the bags instead of handling them with care, which caused my container of blueberries to open and spill everywhere. It felt rushed and disrespectful, and it definitely affected my shopping experience. This visit left me feeling frustrated. I spoke with management on the floor and was told Gavin would be talked to. I hope management truly addressed this issue and provides better training on how to treat customers and handle their groceries properly. read more

First let me start by your kitchen utensil shelf stocking needs works. I shopped on Monday morning Jan 26, 2026. While in the isle for spatulas and cookware I was shopping for the flat red colored plastic spatula perfect for flipping eggs. It was up high but not out of reach. It was next to the metal potato mashers. As I lifted it off hook it hit side of the potato masher. The masher fell forward hitting me at the top of my chest landing on the bone below my throat which is part of the sternum. It hit hard and left me with a shock of pain before I could move. It landed on the shelf after it bounced off of me. When I went to checkout I asked the cashier and girls in front to have the mashers moved to a lower location as not to harm anyone else. I went back to the store today Jan 30,2026 with my husband and as I needed to shop in that isle I decided to see where they relocated the potato masher. To my shock it hadn't moved still right there next to the red hard plastic flat spatula. Not a big request. Safety first is a must and the force of this item could harm someone worse should it hit an eye or head.. Was I asking too much. I am still tender and this is Friday. Listen, I've never had a bad experience here. I love to browse the isles, take my time, read everything label left and RIGHT. The workers ask me if I need help with anything, probably because I take so long. I love love love their sushi bar too! When we arrived there was no one waiting at the deli counter. Asked for a 12 piece, which was on sale. Was told it would be 20 minutes as a new batch would be coming out. When I pointed out that there was plenty of chicken right there (see the picture). I was told that is only for 8 piece orders. Huh?! Asked her to clarify and she just repeated the same thing. So, I figured she must be new or confused or both. I asked if I needed to take a number or just come back? She said just come back. I picked up a few other things and came back to the counter in 15 minutes where there were no fewer than 20 people in line. I kid you not. They were passing out chicken left and right. The sale was popular. Went up to the counter and asked for the 12 piece and was told it would be another 30 minutes. WTF? I asked for a lead or manager. An assistant manager came over and she asked what I needed. I explained I was waiting for a 12 piece but was told to wait again, but it appears there is plenty of chicken. She walked behind the counter and talked to that same worker. The assistant manager pulled out a 12 piece within seconds. Thank you. Went to pay and every lane had a line. We waited in line and another person tried to jump the line across three lines. She was verbally abusive to the other clients whom she tried to cut off. She came to out line and tried the same thing. I don't think so. She started cussing at this older women that she jumped right in from of and the abuser threw her stuff down and started to talk smack the this lady. On October 27, 2024, two female managers were rude to me after I asked a question about the location of a product. The first manager pretended not to understand me due to my accent and gave me a dismissive look until I repeated my question a second time. After I asked, I turned around and heard both of them laughing while looking at me. I approached security to request a discussion with their managers, only to find out that the two women I had encountered were indeed the managers. They denied laughing and, instead of addressing my concerns respectfully, raised their voices and refused to acknowledge their rudeness. They stated that if they had answered my question, I should simply leave. I was on my way to a family gathering in the IE, and I realized halfway that I forgot to bring a good bottle of liquor. So I consulted my Yelp app, and found this Stater Bros. in the city of Riverside. The place has no frills, and the crowd is so-so, but they had everything I was looking for. I was amazed that the prices were in fact lower than I expected. After picking up the bottle, I went to buy some snacks for the party, and proceeded to check out. I was so impressed by the remodel and new selections at the deli when I initially saw everything. I was first hooked by the spring rolls, Hawaiian delight, and ambrosia salad. A friend told me the mandarin noodles were really good, but 3 times I have tried to get some but they were out every time. I tried the chicken salad with dill, but it was really salty so never again on that one. The potato salad and macaroni salad was just ok. I was trying things out as I went but my go to was the spring rolls until yesterday which was a Tuesday. I got spring rolls on Monday April 22nd. Everything was great. I got spring rolls again on Tuesday and I noticed the container of sauce that comes with it was half the size. I also noticed the spring roll was stuffed mostly with lettuce and very little anything else. For $8.49 I'm feeling very ripped off. Also while taking all that lettuce out I pulled out a long blonde hair. GROSS!!! So now I'm back to feeling the way I used to about Stater Bros. Great store... especially their meat but that is what they are known for. Lovely remodel the store looks clean and inviting. I have been coming here for several years and I like that over time they are introducing more organic and international food products. Only reason for a 4 and not a 5 is after the remodel there is nowhere to put your cart if you park in the main parking area in front of the main door... Honestly, I'm outraged. My boyfriend went into staters to pick up some flowers. He stood in line and paid the. tries to walk out. He was met by the security guard that asked if he paid, my boyfriend responded yes and pointed to the cashier he went to and showed him the receipt.
