There were relatively few people there but there were only two staff and the supervisor had locked herself out of her computer because she'd forgotten her password. I worked in tech for 25 years and it happens occasionally, but you call someone to reset your password. You don't sit around helplessly when you have 10 people waiting. Beyond that she seemed very chaotic and disorganized. It took her 10 minutes just to take our names and another 10 to start helping us. But THEN after her confusing and chaotic help we had to wait another 10 minutes for the one active employee to process our info. SHE was very efficient. Another woman had been at the counter when we came in and was waiting for her daughter to come in to finish the transaction. Apparently the chaotic supervisor had missed this conversation and rudely interrogated the woman about why she was there. It was such a bad experience that I opted for a main MVD branch when I had to do update my driver's license. I understand that bureuacratic work like this is difficult but it's more difficult when the person you're relying on for help is chaotic and inneficient.

Just Go (#12) As a…read morevisitor of the State of New Mexico we've enjoyed our short stay during one summer in July 2016. We spent 4 days enjoying sightseeing at some historical buildings and landmarks, we signed up for tours... plus Howie (ABQ CM) was gracious enough to include us in two of his Yelp events in Albuquerque. New Mexico is part of the quadripoint where the boundaries of the four states meet at the Four Corners Monument. I once had a coworker who was raised by the Navajo tribe and he suggested we visit the Aztec Ruins National Monument, these were architectural remains once home to the Pueblo people. Visiting historic ruins always fascinated me so we stopped by and went on a self-guided tour. There is a trail guide which was only about 1/2 mile. It started with the Great Kiva, a building used for ceremonies. While walking through the ruins please keep in mind to keep noise level down out of respect to the ancestors of the Pueblo people. We rode the Sandia Peak Tramway in Albuquerque. At 10,378 feet, this tops the other two aerial trams I've experienced at Heavenly Valley in Lake Tahoe at 10,067 feet and Squaw Valley in the North Shore of Lake Tahoe at 9,050 feet. Once we reached the top we enjoyed beautiful panoramic views of ABQ and the New Mexico countryside! The Sandia Peak Tramway is the 3rd longest tramway in the world! The Carlsbad Caverns National Park was a popular spot... we took The Big Room Tour that was about 1.3 miles from start to finish. The cave was a huge natural limestone chamber that was decorated with different types of large calcite formations and cool stalactites. It took us about 1.0 to 1-1/2 hours to complete. You know me... I love my pictures. LoL! Arrive early... dress in layers, it was summertime but it gets cold below at the cavern. We signed up with ABQ Trolley Co for a tour of Albuquerque. This was a fun and educational experience. It took us from Old Town to the Historic Route 66 and everywhere else in between. This is not a hop-on, hop-off service. You hop off the trolley and that's it for you LoL! Our tour guide was great! Thanks to ABQ Yelp CM, Howie K, for allowing us to join cool Albuquerque Yelpers at their events! It was nice seeing Jeanie M (relocated from Reno NV): Yelp Pigs Out @ Pork & Brew (Rio Rancho) Yelp Makes Whoopee at the The Joint (WisePies Pizza) Had some yummy chicken & waffles at Frank's Famous Chicken & Waffles in Albuquerque... also, try fresh, delicious donuts from Whoo's Donuts in Santa Fe! There are more places to see but... Thank you, Great State of New Mexico! Have yet to experience the ghosts of these famous (or infamous) figures in New Mexico history -- Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, John Chisum, and Pancho Villa. Review #2430

I like peace and quiet at times but I found New Mexico too too quiet. It was worrisome that I may get stranded on the highway and die of thirst. Sounds like a Twilight Zone episode, right. I carried extra supplies and gallons of water to be safe. I do like to decorate my apartment in Southwest Decor. It's been a while since I did any decorating. The pottery is absolutely my favorite. The oldest church is in New Mexico. You may want to do some research if you visit. I enjoyed my visit and I decided I wouldn't want to make New Mexico my home. You may feel different.

They only take appointments but you can make them in advance or on the kiosks in the lobby for a later time that day. At first it's a chaotic scene and there's no one there to tell you how to check in. But it becomes apparent pretty quicly. Unfortunately there's really no explanation how to use the kiosks and a large number of confused people trying to use one of the two machines. I'm fortunate because I worked in tech for 30 years and am comfortable with computers. But the elderly and non native English speakers in front of me could have used a friendly face to help them out. Appointment is a bit of a misnomer, it's more like a window. My appointment was at 10 and once I got my number it was another good 20 minutes before I was called. But the TV system is clear and lets you know where you are in the order. The clerk who helped my was sufficiently friendly and quickly walked me through the process and I was out of there about 45 minutes after checking in. DMVs are one one of those strange places, like jury duty where you see all types of people. I heard at least two people yelling at the clerks for no apparent reason. Come on, try to be nice, they're doing the best they can in a chaotic environment.

My registration had been suspended because my insurance (which I had the whole time) company did not send my current policy to the MVD. So 2 of my 3 registrations became suspended I was only made aware of one in which this location charged me like $80+ just to fix and then the next day I went to fix an accident made on the registration of one of my other vehicle to find the same problem on another. Now the Eubank location performed this action for free and then informed me cause my ins never truly lapse that it should have been free. Needless to say the Jefferson location are crooks steer clear and go somewhere else they are a private entity so if you choose not to support their shady business then they will inevitably closed their doors which would be a positive thing for all consumers. Hope this review helped other avoid being taken advantage of as I was.
