They were able to get me in right away and were able to perform the work quickly, while also giving my car a thorough inspection, including pictures. The price was lower that I usually pay at the dealership. The staff was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. I am considering going back to them for the rest of the 60,000 mile service instead of the dealer.

I pull up in my vehicle which happens to be a manual transmission and the attendant says "hop out. I'll take it from here.".I go inside and as I look out the window, I see that the guy looks like he's not moving anywhere even though he's in the driver seat. I go outside to find him burning the clutch and nearly grinding the gears. For a moment I just sit there (trying to be patient) and watch, and ask him if he knows what he's doing, and he stalls. I offered to jump in the car and move it wherever it needed to be moved. He says, "No I got it proceed to turn the car on it and begins back up, but then kills it again." If you're going to run a service that works on cars either you need to know how to drive those cars or allow the owner to actually move it or needs to be. I did offer to leave and take my car somewhere else when another tenant comes says, "Hey, I can move it. He jumps in, but he is burning the clutch like nobody's business". Frustrated is an understatement and how I felt. The car was a VW. Nothing exotic. I would not recommend this place if you have any type of vehicle that you care that you care about.

They decided to hike up the prices and unfortunately it has pushed our family out from using them as our local car people. I have been going to these guys for nearly two decades so I can definitely say that this was not by my choice. The pricing to replace spark plugs was over $150 more than a different Kwik Kar location. When you consider that we have two cars that need the same thing, that's over $300. How could we possibly not go to the other guy? Needless to say I am so so glad they decided to retain the employees and secure their jobs but the price hike was just too much for our family. I hope they can compromise on this and keep some of us locals around for their business.

Approximately two weeks later, he heard a clicking sound and immediately drove it to his auto repair shop. The vehicle had run dry--it had no oil in it whatsoever. So, when they drained out the old oil, they failed to put in new oil. This resulted in a completely new engine having to be put in the vehicle. This is a fairly new vehicle, so it didn't pay to just have it totaled. This most definitely was the most expensive non-oil change ever, at a $7,000 expense for a new engine. You shouldn't have to check the oil when you leave but I would highly recommend it.

This shop isn't even close to where the car is held but I was somewhat in the area in West Plano. So many of these shops are just so terrible and want you to come in so they can rip you off and not be transparent. I'm helping my friend to get her vehicle repaired and one thing I have learned during this process is that shop after shop are rude, dismissive, vague in my expected fees and if their diagnostic will even diagnose the issue with certainty....most people are probably okay with this and will just pick a shop and take their chance. I would rather rent my friend a vehicle and find a shop that's going to business the right way. When enough shops open that are customer service focused, transparent about their process, and don't charge prices that are a ripoff (if an independent shop is charging prices comparable to a dealer, that's a ripoff) - they are going to take market share and hopefully end up shutting down shops like this one.
