I would give less than one star if I could. I brought in my F-250 truck two weeks ago they gave me an exorbitant repair price but I was stuck. I had taken it to a local garage and they said they couldn't fix it, I needed to go to a Ford dealer. Long story short it is still in the shop after two weeks. Every time I call they say we haven't got the part yet. We are still waiting for them. This is ridiculous. I'll never go there again. read more

My trucks sits for an hour beyond my scheduled service appointment. My prior visit was just as bad.

Standard dealership. I recently used their online appointment scheduler to schedule an oil change. I scheduled two days in advance and the day before they called and said they couldn't do 11am because they wouldn't finish the car in time for lunch (they'd get done by 12:15). So I had to go earlier in the day. It wasn't that big a deal, but the online scheduler should have mentioned that. It also kind of irritated me that they couldn't go to lunch 15 min later? In 16 years of working I've never gone to lunch on time because I believe the customer comes first. It just seems they put customer service behind everything else. Overall, it's an okay place that tends to put customer service on the back-burner. read more

Rude and utterly unhelpful, despite supposedly receiving "priority" for our under-warranty Lincoln. I called two days after Christmas to request service - our family was on a 10-hr drive en route to State College when our windshield wiper fluid pump suddenly failed. I was abruptly told that they had no appointments available for OVER A WEEK. Although the problem would be a quick fix, with an in-stock part, I was told we would not be helped, despite the danger posed to my family. The secretary was outright rude in her response that "all the other people who had come to State College for Christmas" had filled their schedules, and there was no chance of my being able to speak to a technician or bring in my vehicle. I purchased a Raptor from State College Ford unseen. I live in California and the dealership is 2500 miles away. I must say that the entire transaction was a pleasure. I took my 2005 Ford Escape in for diagnostic service. I was quoted obscene prices for new part replacement when the problem can be fixed by car computer specialists for a reasonable price, which they do not perform. When picking my car up I paid their diagnostic fee, checked out, and I was cleared to take the car. When I got in I found my car was not completely put back together and if I didn't notice the bolts on the floor I would have started it, possibly doing more damage. I am highly disappointed by their lack of service and do not recommend State College Ford for car service. read more

I have been a long time customer of State College Ford. I have bought probably 10 to 15 vehicles from them. The sales staff is great to work with, no high pressure pushy tactics. Their service department has serviced ever vehicle. Their attention to detail has been top notch. Any one can sell you something, it is the customer service that and what you do after the fact that keeps customers coming back. The team at State College Ford knows this. It all starts at the top and the owner definitely sets a great example for his team. Highly recommend giving them the opportunity the next time you are looking for a vehicle. read more

I will never go there again. I arrived there at 8 am, but they started to work on my car at 10 am. After half an hour, my car was finished and they told me the part was changed. But my car problem was not solved, I do not know why they want to change the part which they suggested me to change in advance. It cost me $400, but the issue still existed. Went here only for an oil change & tire rotation. Said I needed $200 worth of rear brake work on rear tire in order to drive car home. They said something broke--rotor or pad came apart while checking the brakes. I told them they needed to put it together as I get all my car work done at Stark's where they never try to add extra stuff. Do not go here to get work done on your car. My brakes were not even making any noise before this. read more

An appointment @ 11 am for an emissions test has resulted in sitting here until well after 1 pm. The employees were aware of the fact that the customer was waiting while the lazy morons WENT TO LUNCH at noon. No one could perform a simple emissions test in the hour before going to lunch? A test that should take what? 20? 30 minutes. How poorly must these people do their jobs if they disregard a set appointment and fail to perform a run of the mill procedure in an hours time? What do these people think of the people that keep them employed by giving them business when they won't even alert the customers to the fact they are taking their lunch for an hour. Leaving customers to bend to their will by not even being considerate enough to give the option of rescheduling or find a more competent service provider? The people in charge are just human slime if they are at all aware of the way the middle management runs their business for them. STAY AWAY! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU, SO DON'T KEEP THEM IN BUSINESS! read more

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I went in to see if the staff could give me an estimate on my 2014 ford explorer that had just been rear ended. The first guy that approached me asked me what kind of car for which I was looking to buy or trade in my explorer, I told him I wasn't looking to do anything at the time but get an estimate since it's a brand new car, he acted like I was wasting his time and that it was impossible for them to do anything for me unless I was buying another car from them, he said he couldn't give me a value unless he knew what kind of car I wanted so he could quote me a good "trade-in value" (obviously they do this so they can scan you for as much money as they can get by with). He kept prodding me until I asked to speak with someone else who could actually help me. Then when the next guy came he acted exactly the same. I stood my ground and told them I simply wanted someone to look at my car for an estimate. The 2nd guy told me that he could get me a KBB estimate but he wouldn't look at my car and no one else could either. You can look up the KBB yourself online so that doesn't do me any good. Despicable customer service, argumentative, and flat out rude. Even though the next closest Ford dealership is 20 minutes away I will gladly take the drive over the shameful behavior of state college ford. read more

It is hard to believe how incompetent and unprofessional the State College Ford Dealership is. I am glad that other people realize this and are writing about it as well. In my case, they apparently failed to tighten my gas tank after a fairly simple repair. The result was that gasoline was spilling out of my car as I drove down the street. In fact, I could barely breathe from all of the fumes, and my car ended up dying on the street.. Perhaps as a result of the noxious fumes on the highway, the police actually had to get involved while we waited for an hour for a tow truck. The next day they failed to call the correct number to tell me that my car had been fixed. Furthermore, my car came back with no gasoline whatsoever in it! I did not know that you could put 13 gallons of gas in a Ford Focus until I filled up my car after having received it. As is discussed above, the worst part about this experience involves the unprofessional environment created by the people working at the front desk.They refused to help me pay for a ticket I had received nor would they reimburse me for all the gas that I lost as it was spilling out of my car onto the highway. This is a dangerous situation that could have led to my car starting on fire! They never apologized in any way but instead coldly tried to argue about why I should not be reimbursed for anything. Please avoid this place. read more
