These guys are fantastic. I've had to take my car here twice, once to have the entire bumper redone, the second time to have a small scratch buffed out. The bumper paint job was flawless, it looked as perfect as the day I bought it. The price wasn't cheap, but it wasn't overpriced either, especially since the quality was very high. The small scratch they buffed out without any issues, I sat there for a half hour while they did it and then went on my way. LAVA Auto Body did an excellent job on my Volvo XC60, fixing a softball sized deep dimple on my passenger rear door. They also cleaned my car (and I think polished it) before pickup. Highly recommend Lava! They made an unpleasant experience rather pleasant after I got into a fender bender. Tom was wonderful to work with. They were very responsive, kind, thorough, efficient and did an excellent job with the repair. When I went to pick up, the car was cleaner than it's been in a long time- interior and exterior! I recently (and stupidly) crashed my car in a parking garage while on business in State College. After calling Lava, Johnny was able to refer me to an excellent towing company. I was completely overwhelmed from the day, and the entire Lava staff was welcoming and sensitive to my needs. Upon leaving State College and returning to my hometown, I found out from my insurance company that my car would be totaled. Johnny was kind enough to package the remaining belongings from my car and express ship them to my house so I could avoid driving 3 hours back to State College. I honestly wish Lava was closer to my hometown so I could bring my new car there any time I have an issue. They are qualified with years of experience, and I would recommend anyone (local or otherwise) bring their car here when they are seeking professional expertise. Friendly and courteous throughout the process and did a really great job communicating everything that I needed to know about what needed to be done to get my car back in shape. This place is great. Did some damage to my car and got it quoted at around 1500 at another place, but my car was old and there was no way I was putting that kind of money into it. They ended up doing a budget fix for around 600, and although the damage is still noticeable, you have to get up pretty close. It passed inspection, looks pretty good and saved me a ton of money ! read more

They gave me a quick estimate and walked me through what I needed to do to get a quote through insurance. Lava was wonderful about reattaching the rocker panel my son lost to a fight with the curb. John creatively sourced replacements for the broken clips to keep the cost down, and did a great job touching up some scratches on my bumper too.
