I enrolled in the American Heart Association First Aid CPR AED course. I have taken the classroom version many times and this time I thought I'd try the online version. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the training. I selected STAT CPR for the "hands-on" portion of training based on their location. I have been taking CPR training classes for over 20 years. The Renewal class with STAT CPR this year was easy to enroll online, organized, easy to understand with use of the manual and video in class, good and adequate equipment for each participant, and enough time to take the 25 question test at the end. I would highly recommend this CPR class! This was my first time having to renew my CPR certification in the state of Colorado. I went to the internet for highly rated classes & this place was on the TOP. I ended up being the only one in the class (which has happened to me multiple times), but I never felt uncomfortable in this class. I took the CPR/AED course two days ago. Judy was the instructor and proved to be one of those rare teachers who understands the subject so completely and has such a total grasp of it that she is able to give the instruction simply and clearly making it easy for the student, me, to understand it. I think we had a very successful class. From this point it is up to me to review the book once in a while to keep it fresh in my mind. This was my 2nd time recerting. Although my employer offers this class for free, Stat CPR is closer to my home. Small class in cozy environment. Very thorough, yet succinct. Rec'd AHA card the same day. When they say arrive in time, they mean it so give yourself plenty of travel mishap time. 2 years ago I was a few minutes late but Scott was kind enough to get me rescheduled before my license expired. We took this class (First Aid/CPR Adult,Infant,Child) as a requirement to be caregivers for our daughter and son-in-law for Foster/Adoption certification. Judy was very informative and thorough. The hand-on CPR skills with the manikin were very helpful. She was very patient in helping me with the compression skills. This class covers a lot of important information. The trainer was patient in explaining (and re-explaining) procedures and steps for successful resuscitation, closely monitored us to make sure our technique was correct doing the demonstration phase, and even showed us some techniques that were not included in the AHA training video! read more
