It's a great atmosphere and not filled with crazy "dance-moms." I've had my daughter here for one…read moredance-year on her third year dancing. The teachers are patient and build great relationships with the kids. My only concern is that the kids don't get properly trained on how to perform on stage and certainly would never make it far as competitors with the leniency of the teachers. Excellent for kids from 3-7, not so good for older girls who are looking for a dancing career.

All the plays we have seen were terrific and the actors were very professional. For the kiddies they usually stick around and let the characters take pictures with them. My daughters treasure their pictures with Belle and Cinderella the most. I would highly recommend going to see any of their shows. It is not Broadway, but it is every bit as enjoyable for the family.

The Stage is a cute little theater which I have done MANY shows at. The people who run it, for the…read moremost part, are extremely nice and pleasant to work with. But sometimes the new people who occasionally come in to take over a production are not very professional, and unfortunately the quality of the production suffers, which I have seen on several occasions. Most of their client are over the age of 60, so if you are going to start seeing shows there, don't expect anything too contemporary or unusual. The theater itself is comfortable and newly refurbished with new seats and paint, and the stage is a decent size. I have had a lot of fun times at The Stage. Some of the more fun shows are in their Children's Theater, which always bring in tons of kids. I would recommend it more for families to come see the children's theater than some of the mainstage productions!

To be honest I was historically avoiding JJ because of the rumor that there is parents go the line very early in the morning like 4/5 am to get the tickets for rehearsal, not sure if that is just a hype....Regardless, I like the customer service that they are providing because the owner seems very caring for the young kids who are dancing there. Also a dance system that they have and it seems very professional....Just wish that they are more active with using online website or email to communicate to clients instead of using good old town newspaper to announce the register dates....Stay tune... Right now so far so good with JJ

Well, unlike the previous reviewer I have nothing but amazing things to say about Miss Erin... In…read morefact my experience has been quite the opposite, however I may be able to explain the other reviewers impressions. My 2.5 yr old daughter has been attending Integral Ballet under Miss Erin's instruction (with the help of the lovely Miss Fallon) for just over a month. My first encounter with Miss Erin was via telephone, after exploring the VERY informative and well put together website (compared to other ballet school sites I clicked off of a Google search). I had a few questions and wanted to arrange a trial class for my daughter. Miss Erin was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful, and after chatting for a few minutes I found myself looking forward to meeting her. My daughter took to Miss Erin immediately, and it's fairly evident to me, after 5 weeks of classes, that the other girls in my daughters class (and those that I see in the class before hers) really connect with Miss Erin, and Miss Fallon too! Miss Erin is caring, and has just the right amount of firmness to handle these little girls. As for being unfriendly or dismissive I could only assume that perception came from someone who is seriously self-absorbed. If you take a step back and really look you'll see that Miss Erin is a VERY busy young woman. When we arrive for my daughters class she is just ending a class, and starts another class immediately after my daughters... This girl does not take a second to take a sip of water! But that does not mean she is unattainable. Whenever I have emailed for ANYTHING (albeit in the evenings), she has responded almost immediately, I assume I'd have the same success on the phone, I'm just not much of a phone person. I should also mention that Miss Erin's mom, has also been very helpful and sociable. I feel this is a friendly, warm, and inviting ballet school - I drive 35 minutes from Rockaway Park to bring my daughter here because my husband and I instantly loved Miss Erin, as well as the other parents and kids... It just feels right. I can't really speak to the level of education as I am not, and never was a dancer myself. I do have enough sense to appreciate that even at my daughters young age there is a clear GOAL in each class, proper terms are used, and while the approach is geared down perfectly to my daughters age group it is not dumbed down. Keep up the good work Integral Ballet!
