My child has grown incredibly as a musician and as an individual since joining School of Rock. But…read morewhat has impressed me the most is the community the school has built. The programs assist all the students in exploring and honing their musical abilities --and beyond that, young musicians are able to form meaningful alliances with their bandmates and their instructors. Kids have shared with me that they had been anxious to perform until they were supported and encouraged by their teachers. At School of Rock, these students built the confidence to take the leap to performance!! It is so exciting to see the growth and camaraderie at the seasonal shows! I see it in all the kids!! School of Rock is inclusive and supportive-- my child feels at home there.

Donna gave me classes in the parking lot, later on she put me on the streets with her riding in front of me. After that I started riding. Five years later I got a Harley RoadKing, huge bike for a 5"ft. girl. I had trouble stopping the bike. I lost my confidence in riding, I called Donna again and we met for a class. Donna immediately found out what I was doing wrong, she let me ride one of her school motorcycles until I felt better stopping on her bike, later on I got on my Road King and Donna did not let me leave until I got better at my stopping. She took me around the neighborhood and we did many stops. Today I rode with friends and they noticed my improvement in my stopping. Donna is very patient and will explain to you why you are having issues, how the bike works, and how you can improve your skills. She is always willing and able to help you in any riding skills you need. She will work on your problem until you are comfortable and she feels confident that you achieved the skill. I love my Roadking and I will be going back to Donna to take an advanced riding class. She will get rid of any fears you have on riding. She will not let you go home without you being confident. I came across Brian's home improvement classes through a flyer from Nassau Community College and…read moreboy am I glad I did! To date, I have taken 9 of Brian's classes/workshops and can honestly say I have learned a ton of stuff that I never knew about my house. He is a down-to-earth person who genuinely cares about his students and that their houses are safe and efficient. As a teacher, he is able to breakdown the most complex concepts so that the average person who knows nothing about construction/repair (i.e. me!) can understand. I love his powerpoints, the wording is easy to understand and they always come with diagrams. Although the series with NCC is complete, he offers additional classes through his website and I most recently took an irrigation workshop with him. At this moment, I am quite confident that I can do most of the dirty work to install my own sprinkler system. Thanks Brian!

The bathroom has mold on the floor of the showers, there's rust around the hand soap area, spilled hand soap on on the sink counter, toilet paper on the floor in the stalls and the sink very dirty. There's always a new instructor every time I would come for lessons with my kids. No one tells you what's going on, you basically have to go with the flow and not ask questions because to them it's the way how they do their service. Customer service is horrible. There's nothing wrong with the staffs, expect for one staff member. Every member that worked June 2022 felt over worked by the owner and is super unhappy." how do I know ?" bc they told me in-person the week of 4th Of July. There's one time I went on a Thursday during 4th of July weekend with my kids, there's was no one available to teach any lessons bc apparently they was closed. I didn't get a phone call, nor a text or email that they would be closed for the week of 4th of July. When I got there, one member told me that I wasn't the first customer that walked in here today with no update company being closed for the week of 4th July . The staff proceed to tell me that it was so unprofessional how managements handled their customers and it's not their fault; which I didn't blame them and I agreed it's not. I took my kids home and the next week I got a phone call from DANNY telling me I have a lesson today ( Thursday 4pm). I reply to him, no one didn't update me if the company was closed or open, so I assumed it's closed. I did pay the 4th of July week bc I was told by the staffs that if I didn't pay now I would or will loose my slot for the summer session in July. So, I made a payment of 121 on July 7th. On July 21 4pm I came in like a normal regular unprofessional day at swim star . There was two instructor who's not supposed to instruct my kids are there. I wasn't aware again. The two instructors did not introduce themselves or even said which child that will work with. They just began the lesson with no hi's or introduction. After the lesson I called Danny and told him about the experience and he said he's shocked and I asked for a refund bc this wasn't the first unprofessional encounter I had experienced at swim star. DANNY said he'll give me a call Back Friday, but no calls. I called myself Thursday July 28th to see where I stand. I told him about the hygiene in the bathroom, he said the building owner has to take care of that, that if I wanted I can use the bathroom upfront by the desk. I told him about the week I showed up no one was dress to teach, I told him about the customer service and he didn't really care. I asked him for a refund, he said he's no going to give me a refund bc of his staffs, customer service and the hygiene at the company. He hanged up the phone bc he didn't hear anything ( my phone accidentally went on mute for two seconds bc i was Multitasking with kids) I called bk he said he hanged up bc I stop talking and I asked him again for a refund. He refused to give me a refund and told me to come in even if I'm uncomfortable. I told him why would I come in if I'm uncomfortable with my kids getting teach by anyone that works there ? He didn't care if I'm uncomfortable or how I felt as a paying customer. He didn't care for my kids comfort. He's basically saying he doesn't care and he's not going to give me back any money bc it's on their contract. I proceeded to ask him about the contract saying does or did the contract said about different instructors and company hygiene ? He said no. I would not recommend anyone to go there with their kids because they're very unprofessional and not nice to their customers. They honestly act like you're getting free lesson , most cleanest company and have the greatest customer service, but it's not. Please if no one doesn't believe me. CHeck them out for yourself ! You wouldn't be disappointed.
