I did not expect to get my haircut in Rome but the heat made me want a haircut and I was not disappointed.

This was such a perfect experience! I have thick hair and would rather spend $ on a blowout rather than a mani/pedi, facial, etc.. Stars did not disappoint. They were quick to respond and their salon is in such a great location. And the blowdry itself was top notch- so much in fact, I am hoping to book again on our loop back to Roma after our travels in Puglia! read more

I arrived in Rome at 2pm but made the appointment the day before ...omg I love this Salon ..not only were they friendly but I LOVE MY HAIR!!! He dyed it abs matched it totally and cut it exactly..I meant exactly how I have always wanted !! I have had my hair cut at least 4 times looking for this style and this time FINALLY a stylist that not only listened but did it !!! Ladies if your in Rome please make a appointment at this salon ...looks like only two people work here .....so it's by appointments only but the best .....and if your early stop at the restaurant osteria defortunato!!!! Awesome food ....good breeze ....you can not be disappointed with this salon in anyway ....my hair was dyed/cut...washed/conditioned and scalp massage plus styled!!!! And hubby got his hair cut and washed also it was $215 ....I would pay that anytime !!! read more

Stars is a wonderful salon. Located on a quiet, lovely street, this shop gave me (a vacationer) a great, thorough cut, shampoo, and styling necessary to confidently explore the beautiful streets of Roma and pay my respects at the Vatican. I was very, very pleased to find this gem of a salon and could not recommend Stars more to any tourist looking to get styled. Honestly, Claudio fixed my botched hair from Paris and made it look so, so, so much better! He blended it so well and I love the color. The price was reasonable and Claudio is so nice and professional (he also speaks English) and really understood exactly what I wanted even when I was just messaging him through Yelp. If I move to Rome someday like I plan to, I'll definitely look for him! Either way, I highly recommend him/this salon even if you just need a quick hair fix while on vacation like I did! x read more

Absolutely loved my experience at Stars! I'm always very hesitant to get my hair cut at a salon other than the one I typically go to at home when I'm not traveling, but Claudio was fabulous. His response time in making my appointment was very quick, and he was very friendly and welcoming. He made sure he knew exactly what I wanted, and made the overall experience so wonderful! I echo the other reviews in saying (luckily for me) his English is very good, so I had no concern about whether the cut would turn out okay. I have no idea what went wrong here, but how I wish I had not gone in!! How did he get 5 stars on the other reviews? Here are the photos..I went in with hair this long (taken that morning at the Pantheon..I wanted the haircut of the girl in the middle and somehow came out with the short badly cut one on the right..taken right after! In what world would any stylist do this cut, if that was the photo I brought in?? Mu hair was plenty long enough to make this exact style..and now, 3 weeks later, it looks like someone went crazy with my hair..I have had to cut so many pieces that were just crazy....very very disappointed. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Stars salon. I went in with greasy over-grown hair and came out with the most perfect haircut. I have alopecia areata and I am VERY picky about who I let cut my hair. Claudio made me feel at ease and he did a wonderful job. He is an artist and a master of what he does. I am visiting from San Francisco and I would have paid so much more for the kind of haircut he gave me if I had it done in San Francisco. I didn't show him any pictures of what I wanted. This salon was near our airbnb in Rome, and I found it using Yelp. It's very clean, stylish, and friendly. I got a shampoo and blow out, as my styling prowess is no match for Rome's humidity. It lasted a full 2 days and possibly longer if I weren't trekking around the city, getting sweaty, and occasionally wearing a hat. I booked the appointment on Yelp. My horrible Italian was no problem, they spoke great English. Recommend! read more

Stopped by for a quick blow dry and the service was very fast and I am very happy with my result from this quaint, local salon. As a tourist who just arrived in Rome, I searched for a place not too far, contacted the business with a message in English through Yelp about an hour before the time I was interested in arriving, which was extremely helpful, and I received a prompt answer with immediate availability. Upon walking in, the owner (I believe) was kind and courteous asking me if I was the Yelp appointment. Immediately the young woman who washed and styled my hair took over. She was very nice (& had beautiful hair by the way!), and when I showed her a picture of what I wanted to look like she did just that! In terms of my experience and price ($20 euro -credit card accepted- for a wash and blow-dry) I wouldn't ask for more - except maybe being offered a glass of water while I got my hair done or a glass of water for my husband waiting for me ;) read more

I really wanted to get a haircut in Rome and had initially booked an appointment at Headspace but had to reschedule at the last minute. Unfortunately, their english at Headspace is not very good and her reply messages to me were very confusing so I just told her to cancel my appt. Instead, I headed over to Stars later that day. They were able to fit me in for a haircut even though I had no appointment. The owner of the salon (I believe his name is Claudio) gave me a fantastic cut...much better than any haircut I've received in Boston and I've tried a ton of salons in Boston. He spoke excellent english and has been doing hair for 19 years so he has tons of experience. He made sure I was happy with the length and layers before he started cutting and I could not be more thrilled. The cost was reasonable as well... 55 euros for a cut and blow dry. If you are considering getting your haircut in Rome, I highly recommend heading over the Stars!!! It's a wonderful salon and the owner is the only one who cuts hair there so you know you will get top notch service and experience. read more

Love my hair coloring and highlight. The process here is different than in America. I had my hair color and he had hair washed and dry and then he placed the highlights very delicately like an artist with a brush with light strokes. Then he washed my hair again. He said that they have to ru it after the color to get a perfect highlight. Now why can't they take the time to do that in America. Back home they out the foil in and the proceed to brush your hair with color as if they are painting a wall. I've encountered this even in expensive high end Salon. Too bad I can't go back often to get this kind of hair treatment like the line Claudio did. Love my hair. Also his assistant washed and massage my head and it was so relaxing. Thank you!! read more

Before my trip to Rome (obviously), I colored my own hair to save some $$$ so I could buy lots of Italian handbags and cannoli. Well, a few days into my vaca I looked at a couple pics of myself and realized my hair looked like CRAP. So, during my travels I had my eye out for a hair salon. Most of the ones I saw looked like something out of Steel Magnolias, full of old ladies with blow dryer bonnets. But when I was wandering around Campo de'Fiori and its adjacent streets, I passed by Stars. It looked like a cool salon, so I went around the corner and Yelped it. I was happy to see great reviews, so I hustled back there and made an appointment for later the same day. Claudio (I think he was the owner) did an awesome job with my color and a blowout. I wish I could go back every 6 weeks and I thought the price was very reasonable (at least compared to what one pays in San Francisco). Highly recommend if you want to get your hair done in Rome. And I bought the handbags and cannoli anyway. read more

Thank you Claudio for a great haircut and salon experience! I contacted Stars salon on Yelp to request an appointment for a haircut and Claudio got in touch with me within 24 hours to confirm a time. The salon is a great location very close to Campo Di Fiori so I was able to spend time before and after my appointment shopping and eating. When I arrived at the salon Claudio was very considerate in listening to what I was looking for in a cut and spent time considering details during the cut. Because I have short hair I'm used to stylists spending ~20 minutes giving me a trim, but Claudio spent double that making sure I got a flattering cut!
