This restaurant is an a nice location, and it has a very comfortable outdoor seating area. They have ample parking, and there is a bus stop right there.
Service was alright, better than many Swiss restaurants I've been to, it did take quite a long time to get our food, but they were quite busy when we were there.
We got nachos as a starter, the best ones I've had in Switzerland. They had cheddar cheese, beans, jalapenos, guacamole, and good corn chips (thank God). I noticed that they also offer nachos as a main dish.
I had the Cajun catfish- it was very hard and dry and didn't come with any sauce. It came with broccoli and carrots which were cooked perfectly as well as french fries which were really really good.
My husband had the gumbo, it was mediocre in my opinion, not much flavor, nothing like what I expected, the rice wasn't great.
My daughter got a shrimp burrito which, while quite unlike any burrito I've ever had, was actually very tasty. I would go back there again for a burrito, they have chicken, beef, veggie, and shrimp burritos. My other two kids had hamburgers, which for the price, were not nearly good enough.
Do NOT order the cheesecake. Even my great Aunt Millie couldn't make cheesecake that bad, and she is the worst cook in America.
If you are American and you are looking to get a good burger, I don't think you should go to Stars & Stripes. Maybe the steaks are good, I did not try any.
I thought that the food I saw at other peoples tables looked appetizing, but my overall impression was that it is too expensive for the quality of cooking. read more
