I love going to blockbusters and nothing is worse than waiting in a long line only to discover you and your group have to split up. Now that I have little ones, that's completely unacceptable. Why it didn't get a 5? I don't know what the problem is here. I don't know if folks that come here just aren't used to reserved seats, aren't being told or just don't care. I never had a problem at ovation, but twice now I've had to throw ppl out of my seats! Oh well.

It goes so well with the retrospect movies, and for someone like me who's scared, but still want to watch scary movies, this is the best part: you saw just the right size of scary-funny zombies from The Night Of The Living dead, not too much to scare you to death, but enough to keep you intrigued.

Visited on a Saturday for a friend's wedding and was not disappointed by this unique and personal…read morevenue. The couple attends concerts at the theater often so it was lovely to know having their wedding there meant so much. My partner and I watched the wedding from the balcony where the view was spectacular and were easily able to move around the upper level and main level when we wanted to mix and mingle during the reception. If I could watch every wedding from that vantage point, I would; so cool! The venue allowed outside catering, so we had the couple's favorite local barbecue. The serving line moved fast and I was glad for the space allowed to line up all 150+ of us. The stage was used for a dance floor later in the night. Though small, it was a fun experience. The stage is a bit difficult to navigate around as there is only one set of narrow steps in the front. The lights also contribute to making the dance floor a bit warm.

If you are wondering, I don't have any explanation why 3 adults visited a museum that is geared towards kids besides that we are all kids at heart and like to have silly fun. With that in mind, Erin, Matt, and I checked out the Children's Discovery Museum. I'm not sure exactly how we ended up wanting to explore the Children's Discovery Museum but I am glad we did. None of us have kids so it was a bit weird that 3 grown adults were walking about this museum and playing with the stuff as if we were kids, but we were never told to not play with the stuff as well. We did avoid the stuff that our adult size might break or render unusable. Overall, I don't have much to say about this place since it's been so long and I can't remember all the activities and interactive things they had. I will say that if you have kid(s), they will love this place. If you have kids and are a kid at heart, you AND your kid(s) will have a blast here.

We went to a 3D screening and when we put on our glasses there wasn't any difference in the image for most of the previews. Doubled images in everything except a very shallow field. It was difficult to watch. So I thought something was wrong with the projection. I let someone know and they said they would tell someone. Movie begins and no change so I go find the manager and let them know the problem is still there. She responded "yea we don't know how to fix it it's always like that and we can't do anything about it." Yet they have multiple screens showing 3D and they are charging prices for something that does not work. That is incredibly unethical and shows that they don't care about their customers health (headaches from the images) or about the films they show. So I get my kid and ask for a refund. They refund my tickets but refuse to refund the $30+ in concessions we don't need if we're not watching the film. Absolutely disappointing and unethical practice. If they have that little care about their customers it makes me worry about the other places in their business where they don't care. Considering they serve food and beer I'd be worried about the health and safety standards there now as well. I would love to keep going there as it's usually a very pleasant theatre but this shows me they care more about just promoting their beer wall and ordering kiosks than their customers.

Within the gardens lie the Moriyama Japanese Garden. While this garden is small, it does have the features that Japanese gardens are known for. There is a walking trail for you to walk and enjoy the beauty here. Parking is across the street in the church parking lot. While not very large the Genevieve Green Gardens make a nice nature stop and come highly recommended.

The Ewing Manor was part of the "Christmas at the Mansions Tour." The manor itself is amazing! The…read moreChannel-Norman Architecture is stunning, especially the spiral staircase. The manor is decorated for Christmas throughout and made it even more spectacular! The history of the manor is interesting and primarily featured Hazel Buck Ewing's life. She was an equestrian and the stables were part of the tour. In each room a docent shared interesting factoids and historical facts about the manor. The cutting edge technology for the time period was also promoted, such as the concrete beams made to look like wood, and the "automatic" horse watering troughs. The manor was actually lived in until 1969, but was decorated for the holidays in 1930's style. The tour is a one night event and could easily become a holiday tradition.
