The yacht dinner cruise was SO good! The food was delicious! Of course the menu isn't large, but there are choices (beef, seafood, apps, etc). The servers were friendly and attentive. The yacht is large with lots great views (inside and outside); great photo opps. Let's talk parking: directions are included with reservation but it could be more clear. Parking is pay by plate using park mobile. Don't pay until you check in you need the code to save on parking costs (and get enough time) you have to use the code at the kiosk; it doesn't work in app. read more

The StarLite Majesty is based in Clearwater, it is 115 feet long & 32 feet wide. This yacht is privately adorned with a modern "brass and glass" interior and is certified by the US Coast Guard to carry up to 400 passengers. This vessel can seat up to 280 people in 2 enclosed decks. We purchased tickets in advance & were assigned a table. We were given water and ordered an appetizer for now and lunch is :40 into our boat ride. It was a little confusing the whole experience. On our table was a large drink menu, an appetizing menu and a lunch menu. We were surprised at how reasonable the drinks & food were priced . Our 2 hour narrated boat ride was $25 pp taking us under bridges & around Clearwater Bay. We started by sharing a warm crab and shrimp dip with pita bread. I ordered a shrimp creole for lunch over a bed of white rice. The seats at the front of the yacht were very windy & the back was calm. There were more than enough seats for everyone. read more

Nice atmosphere but not sure if air was working as it was a bit stuffy on the boat. Staff was very pleasant but our waitress was a bit overwhelmed and forgetful on water and drinks. We had to remind her multiple times. Was a lot of open tables so not sure why she was slow. On to the food, ordered filet and others we went with ordered surf & turf and the salmon. Filets were cooked perfectly to order & one of the best I've had. Salmon was not very seasoned & kind of bland although cooked perfectly. Salad was great as was dessert. I highly recommend you take this cruise, whether for dinner or just to watch the sunset! We were celebrating our anniversary and the hospitality couldn't have been better. From the woman at the ticket window to the entire staff coming onto the dock to thank the guests as we disembarked, everyone was super gracious. They offer special celebration packages; ours was a balloon, a vase of roses and a bottle of wine or champagne. The cruise cost is minimal and you pay separately for dinner. Because it was a special occasion, we opted to splurge for apps-baked Brie and Beef Wellington. For our entrees, I went with the StarLite Chicken Spinachi; my husband selected the pork filet. He said it was cooked properly and oh so tender and the accompanying potatoes were creamy. My chicken was wrapped in a light breading and stuffed with creamed spinach. It came with rice and sautéed green beans, cooked perfectly. Instead of choosing a wine, we went with cocktails, a creamsicle and margarita, Cadillac of course. And I can't forget the creamy cheesecake we had for dessert. It was smooth sailing as we watched storms in the distance, saw a beautiful sunset and even caught a rainbow. Back inside, the ship was rocking as the deejay had every deck on the dance floor, giving shout outs to everyone celebrating at birthday, anniversary, engagement or whatever. Everyone was having so much fun, no one wanted to get off when we docked. My husband and I had the pleasure of taking a dinner cruise while we were down in Florida. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were special guests. The service from everyone involved was spectacular! The entertainment by the DJ, I wish I had gotten her name, was so fun, she was so engaging, she made sure you enjoyed yourself. The dinner wow, once you're seated you get a menu with several dinner choices and from what I could tell everyone enjoyed their meal. I attended a wedding on this boat and was pleasantly surprised! It was such a nice private and intimate ceremony and reception. I deducted a star since it was a bit warm inside. Thankfully the weather outside wasn't too hot, otherwise I would have been melting. I didn't have high expectations on the food but again, pleasantly surprised! The salad was so good! The addition of mandarin oranges gave the salad a nice touch! I had the beef burgundy and it was pretty tasty. It was very tender with the exception of 1 fatty chewy piece. We had a fun time. It was nice to look out from the top deck and enjoy a cocktail. The DJ played a good mix of songs, and everyone was dancing and having a good time. The food was the downside. I had the Chicken Marsala, and he had the Blackened Redfish. Neither were seasoned at all, and his fish was almost cold. The Marsala sauce was really thick and dark, and lacked flavor. The cheesecake was just ok. I wouldn't discourage anyone from having this experience, but I would say eat somewhere else first, then go on this cruise for drinks and dancing. read more

I know this place has gotten some poor reviews, but I hope mine shows up at the top. I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. Sure the food isn't the greatest, but Come on now. It's a great deal to add the buffet ($15) to the see of the boat ride ($20). The food is actually pretty OK (chicken, beef, beans, rice, etc.) and you get unlimited Budweuser, Bud Light, red wine, white wine (Chardonnay), and rum punch. You get a nice relaxing 2-hour cruise around the harbor with basically an open bar for $38 (with tax). Don't forget to tip the bartender and crew (you are provided a bill register in which to do so). They did a great job of bringing my drinks (or you can walk up to the bar) without being intrusive. read more

I had very high hopes for this dinner cruise. It was absolutely stunning inside and the presentation was amazing. I really enjoyed the drinks!! The food on the other hand- wow. I'm pretty sure my steak was spoiled. It tasted horrible and smelled bad. I couldn't even force my body to swallow the first bite- it was so bad that it felt like my body was actually rejecting it. The shrimp was good but the crab part under it was cold. I was very underwhelmed. My boyfriends food wasn't horrible. It definitely tasted different than mine. I'm not one to cause a scene or complain so I ended up leaving hungry. I'm surprised the waiter didn't ask why I sent back an intact plate. Towards the end of the cruise, I just wanted it to be over. We went on this dinner cruise two days ago, and just read a few recent reviews giving 3 stars or less. Very happy to say we had a fantastic experience. We did purchase our tickets on Groupon, so admission was discounted. We were told to arrive at 6:30 for 7:00 departure, but arrived at 6:20 and seated immediately. More time to enjoy!! We had a window seat by the door, and there were a few empty tables, so our server let us move after the boat pushed back. Our server, Liz was fantastic!! Great with her knowledge of the menu, recommendations, excellent and attentive service and very professional. We ordered a bottle of wine, two appetizers and two entrees and were surprised at the quality of food: excellent. The appetizers were brought out relatively quickly. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were large, fresh and perfectly complimented with cocktail sauce. The baked Brie had a raspberry drizzle ( my favorite) and was served at the appropriate temperature: not too hot that it burned one's mouth, but just right so Brie was at the right consistency to enjoy. Liz told us before we ordered the timing of the food- appetizers, then dinner served around 8, so we went up to the third deck to enjoy the atmosphere and take some photos. Great sunset, diverse guests, and lots of smiles. Spoke to several people which added to our enjoyment. Back downstairs, our food wasn't served until closer to 9, but I was still full from the appetizers, so we were content watching several guests dance to the music of a live DJ ( who also facilitated many line dances). Salads arrived and we asked for additional raspberry vinaigrette, which had a bit of a smoky taste.The shrimp were on a bed of blue crab and herb stuffing, accompanied by rice and vegetables. Excellent taste, although served cooler ( not hot) temperature. My entree, the StarLite Chicken Spinachi, was "roasted chicken lightly breaded and stuffed with spinach, artichoke hearts and crumbled goat cheese drizzled with a balsamic glaze" and also served with rice and vegetables. The description is what got my attention and the food was fantastic, although also on the cooler side. I wasn't able to finish it all and was glad to be able to take my leftovers home. We didn't realize that cheesecake was included, so although we were full we couldn't resist. Slices were small but tasty. Dancing continued and again we went upstairs. Again, everyone seemed to have a great time and we personally enjoyed trying to figure out where in Clearwater Beach we were! I would never in my life refer anyone black on this boat they discriminated against me on my birthday paid for a birthday package and was denied the right to board with my guest I was told they were sold out, help me make since if a table was part of the package and the guest had to pay to get on and for there plate I was embarrassed and hurt it was my 50th birthday I guess because I was a gay black female I wasn't good enough to get on there boat they should've made it clear in there black and white print that gay's are not allowed on there boat I would have never made a reservation i could have found something else to do read more

The entire experience was good from start to finish. Yes, read the reviews about parking. We didn't have any problems, but it is in the marina and it may not be the most convenient to park right there. The service was great, the food was very good and I thought reasonably priced, the drinks were outstanding, the DJ played a great selection of songs, and the boat itself very clean. In my book, add those all up and you have a great experience. Oh, one final thing, they didn't ping and cancel because there weren't enough people. We only had about one-third full boat. Most Perfect Wedding Venue EVER. We booked the StarLite Majesty for our wedding reception to host about 130 people. It was PERFECT, STUNNING, SWANKY, AND MAGICAL. They were so helpful with the decor, coordinated well with outside vendors, and were understanding and helpful when we had to reschedule for February due to Hurricane Ian. Shoutout to Amber Samee - she was AMAZING. So helpful with the entire process and I always felt assured and confident in her and the ships capabilities because she was so on it. The staff was professional and so helpful to all our guests constantly checking in on everyone for drinks or food. Thank you StarLite team for creating the wedding reception of our dreams! Starlite majesty was so much fun, went on a Thursday night. I enjoyed myself. No specific dress code. People were dressed up, casual, whatever you wear you fit in. Used a Groupon for it. Then you pay for your food and drinks that you order. Food. No problems. But salad has pecans and I'm allergic. No replacement or alternatives for salad or dessert. I ordered spinach and artichoke dip with pita bread for my appetizer and filet mignon for dinner. Both were great. Be aware, they tell you at the beginning that appetizers come within a 15/20 mins and a hour for dinner. They do not come find you and tell you. Luckily we were sitting when our food arrived. Dessert was cheesecake, nothing special. Third/top floor you can go and lookout at the water. Seating area and standing tables. It was nice until bunch of people sit next to you smoking and mess up the moment. It also got crowded then so went back and food came shortly after. Dinner and music playing. Then music continues the rest of the night. It was a great variety of music. Dj was awesome and danced too, took request. A friend and I were on the dance floor all night. So what could of been a disaster ended being a fantastic night. I made reservations in mid-November for December 28th for my 8th year anniversary. We arrive at the ship and we got our tickets and when we entered the yacht, the host said the anniversary package which we pre-paid $50 for, was cancelled. Couldn't believe it. After a few minutes, the manager apologized profusely and said we would get $20 credit back and still get a free bottle of wine or champagne or $20 in alcohol credit. Well, a few minutes after that, the manager said to make things easier, we will get $20 off food and $20 off alcohol. Totally cool and we got a balloon and they threw in the free picture you take before you board $14.95. So as you see in the pics, we ended up saving $50. Here is the food critique Apps- shrimp appetizer -- of course good. Fresh shrimp Beef wellington --- meat was tender. Good. A bit small but tasty. Bread and salad before main dish -- bread comes with oil and balsamic. Good combo. Salad was fine, nothing special. Main - wife had surf and turf - flat iron steak , requested medium, was medium well but she liked it. Mashed pototoes and asparagus were fresh. I chose the filet mignon. Omg, this piece of meat was cooked perfectly medium. No exaggeration, it was worth the $33. Sides were the same. Very very please. Melted in my mouth and easily 8oz. Dessert was a cheesecake. Good nothing special Waitress was friendly and apologetic. Brought us good drinks and service. Music was good and not overly loud however, there were 2 large groups on the first floor, one was particularly loud and annoying ( lyou are in public) but definitely didn't take away from the scene at all. They did a great job socially distancing each party. They had clear shower curtains hanging in between each table, and only sat one party at each table. We had a waitress that had just started a few days prior, and she was very friendly and very personable. If she hadn't told us she was new, we would never have known. The food was better than we had expected, as we have been on dinner cruises before in other cities and they were subpar. You get to choose your entree and they have a list of appetizers. Each entree comes with a basket of bread, a salad, an entree, and a cheesecake slice for dessert. They have a bar that you can order cocktails or traditional drinks add an additional price. They also take your picture as you board and offer it to you for purchase for $15. We chose the salmon entree and the stuffed shrimp entree. The salmon was a bit overcooked, but that is expected when they are preparing huge amounts of food. The stuffed crab was delicious, but we did find that both entrees needed a little bit of salt as they were under seasoned. The salad was delicious also. It was mixed greens with mandarin oranges, cranberries, sunflower seeds, and a raspberry vinaigrette . The chocolate cake that we solved for the cheesecake was delicious but very rich. The DJ actually saying some of the songs, and we wished she had not. She was not really all that good, and was dressed in a nice shirt, with leopard print leggings and gym shoes. She should just stick to playing the songs and being a DJ. Singing is not her forte. The reason that we gave it four stars, was that online and in brochures it says it was two and a half to three hours cruising. We barely hit the 2-hour mark before we were back in Port. I wish we would have had the extra half hour or hour as was advertised. The weather was perfect so there was no reason that we couldn't have stayed out for the duration. We took a bus trip from OTOW (On Top of The world...the community we live in) to South Pasadena, FL...boarded the ship, sailed The Intracoastal Waterway thru 6 bridges to Clearwater, FL where we boarded the bus to go back to OTOW. There are two enclosed decks and an open deck for people to enjoy on this great ship that was perfectly navigated by Captain Mickey. Can't say enough about this cruise. So much value! Sailing out of Clearwater beach. You board at 6:30, and set out at 7pm. We paid $30 a person and an extra $25 to guarantee a window seat(I think worth it). Dinner is a regular sit down restaurant dinner, with a smaller menu but still nice selection. They take drink and app orders right away, after your initial drink and app orders, they take your entree order and hold off serving it until 8pm, giving you tons of time to walk around on the observation decks. Incredible daytime and sunset views of the Clearwater channel, you will take 100 pics, we did. They continue drink service outside on the decks while you wait for dinner. At 8pm you sit back down and everything is served. We had the filet mignon and parm crusted snapper, fillet was incredible and cooked perfectly to order. Snapper was slightly dry. The mashed potatoes were ridiculously good. Cheesecake for dessert was amazing as well. Now you would think a fortune right? After a 3 course meal, 4 drinks, a bottle, dessert, annd a $15 souvenir photo, bill was $170. Not bad at allllll! (Extra from the $95 in tickets and window seat cost). HUGE disappointment. Friends of ours had done the New Year's Eve cruise package several years ago and recommended it to us. There were three couples including the couple who had been there previously. We were seated on the first deck, shortly after 8:15. Based on photos I've seen here they used the same floor plan for NYE, the tables were crowded together and seemed more crowded with the bunch of black and gold balloons, hat, horns, and noisemakers. Our sever Vinnie was at the next table and came over shortly after to get us water, told us about the timing that dinner would be served about 9:15. He took our drink order and returned about ten minutes later (with no drinks) to take our orders. Across the six of us, we had a Filet Mignon, Pork Shank, Stuffed Chicken Breast, two Land and Sea and a Seafood Creole. All of the menu items are from their standard dinner menu. A little later Vinnie returned with the cocktails we had ordered, nearly 40 minutes earlier. He followed with baskets of warm bread and plated with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. After that followed a salad plate with assorted appetizers, he brought four and disappeared returning quite a bit later with the last two. He was not able to identify the appetizers and had to ask another server. The Spanakopita was OK but pretty soggy; the Teriyaki Chicken was dry and very salty, there were two mushroom caps with some kind of filling we couldn't identify, something they called a scallop wrapped in bacon.. it didn't look much like a scallop. We ordered a second round of drinks when he returned with the last two appetizer plates; as we saw how slow the drink service was. Salads were a combination of mixed greens, mandarin orange pieces, chopped nuts, dried fruit and a pile of shredded cheese. They had been made in advance and were getting soggy from the dressing. Based on the first two courses were pleasantly surprised but the entrees. Steaks were cooked to the right temperature; the pork shank was flavorful and moist, the stuffed chicken breast was excellent as was the seafood creole. We were part way into our entrée and the second round of drinks had not arrived. It was pretty simple; three Cabernet, a Pinot Grigio and a Makers Mark Manhattan. It looked like they were struggling with drinks for the tables all around us as well. We even attempted to go to the bar and get drinks ourselves and were turned away. A manager made the mistake of stopping to ask us how dinner was... at that point,​ we had been on the ship two hours and were waiting for the second round of drinks. As the open bar was part of the $149.00 (including service charge) this was REALLY disappointing. Drinks finally appeared just before clearing entrees for dessert; each of received a tiny sliver of cheesecake with a squeeze of sauce and some chocolate crumbs. Very good, just very tiny. We headed to the third deck to see the sights and chill; our server was up there with another tables drinks, so we ordered a third round. It was nearly 11:30 and we were still waiting for drinks; one of the guys in our party headed down to the bathroom and saw the drinks sitting on our table. He brought up several of them as we went down for the others seeing Vinnie putting champagne glasses on the table. A little before midnight we saw servers pouring champagne and were told our server would have them on our table. One of our party actually found a bar tray and brought all six glasses up to us. The ONLY highlight of the night was the location where they anchored at midnight; we were right off the coast of Sand Key where the local fireworks were being launched, ​and we had an AMAZING view. This was a nice excursion during my birthday celebrations here in the Tampa/Clearwater area. It was nice but I'm glad we had a group in for this trip. Apparently, it's usually about $100 for the trip; to me that's a bit pricy. We seemed to go around in a circle of the Clearwater beach. I wasn't expected to go far for a 3-hour tour, but it would've been nice to venture out further in the bay. We went to the upper deck to watch the sunset but because the ship didn't leave at its scheduled time, we only got to enjoy some of the sunset. I won't complain too too much because we were able to get some beautiful shots of the sunset. We decided not to get full entrees (I was concerned with getting sick with my unstable stomach). The appetizers were sub par. Nothing exciting. Tasted like something I could've purchased at Kroger. We did enjoy some dancing after dinner, which was really fun. This was my first time on a yacht boat cruise and I have to say, it was really nice. We went on a Tuesday evening so it wasn't packed, thankfully. Pros: From the time that we got seated until the time that we left the boat, everyone was really nice and everything was great on board. I enjoyed the deck, the view, the sunset, the food and the service. My steak was a little bit overcooked but it wasn't anything dire. Mashed potatoes was delicious and smooth, bread and salad was wonderful. Service was a little slow but we managed. They also have a dance floor and everyone enjoyed it. Cons: They only have one person working the front window so if there is a big crowd, I couldn't imagine how long that would take as it took us 5-10 minutes to check in. They state that it's 1-2 hours but it was definitely longer than that -- not really complaining but we were ready to go after we ate and danced a bit. We probably did not reach deck until 11pm and we took off at 7pm so prepare to stay that long. They take your order once you're seated but dinner isn't served until 8pm so you'll want to eat a little before you get there because you'll be waiting for a bit. It was a very great and positive experience and the cons aren't really cons, just things that we didn't know but I enjoyed EVERY bit of the trip. Lovely view and great cruise! read more

My family and I decided to do a dinner cruise out of Clearwater this past Saturday. Since we live in FL we got 25% off our boarding tickets, book online or call. You pick the tickets up at will call then you board. Get an Uber or Lyft here, the parking lot was nuts. Once you're sat go get pictures up top before everyone and their mom goes up there. And, yes there are smokers. We ordered a round of drinks then we went up top. We got cosmos and the pineapple upside martini, the drinks were very good. The wine options were okay. Service was mediocre, it took forever for us to get our drinks since there was only 1 bartender and you can only order from your server who is serving many other tables, no open bar option to get your own drinks, which to me is really stupid on their part. The food was absolutely terrible. Bread was cold, starter salad was canned mandarin oranges, walnuts, raisins, and a glob of sweet dressing. I couldn't even eat it. I ordered the stuffed shrimp which was terrible. It was dry shrimp and underneath were mini crab cakes which tasted pre-frozen, so nothing was stuffed like it said on the menu. My husband got the seafood creole which tasted canned. The dessert was a cheesecake which was okay but not good enough to want to eat. I would do the cruise again but only as a site-seeing cruise and just get drinks but I would never eat on the dining cruise again, it was that bad. The dining cruise is also pretty expensive our tab with drinks not including the $80 to just get on the boat was $260. I'm sorry but when you're charging $25+ for an entree it should be at least good. read more

We booked over 3 months in advance and requested we sit downstairs because my parents are disabled. When got there to celebrate my daughter's graduation from college they took us upstairs. We had a party of 14 and they separated the tables. We had to Talk to the person who set up the seats over five times before he helped. The DJ was horrible. We waited over two hours for food and during that time she hardly played any music. Just the last 10 minutes she played some music for the kids to dance. We went as a group of 6, and the service by Dakota, his menu and drink recommendations, and attention to detail were excellent. The kitchen did a stellar job on all of the meals, filet mignon, surf and turf, salmon, stuffed shrimp, and veggie pasta - everyone cleaned their plates. Presentation of the food was also well done. Drinks varied from icy options (Hurricane) to quality mixed drinks to my Nutty Irishman coffee drink. Plenty to choose from. You purchase your ticket on the boat, and it is your choice whether to have appetizers, entrees, drinks - it is all ala carte. The entrees come with salad and a dessert. For us, we had multiple drinks each, and split the bills by couple, our ala carte bill was $95. I believe the price for the cruise was $35 each (our friends bought the initial tickets for all of us). The window seat view was beautiful. Dakota let us know the timeline for the salads so we could go enjoy the sunset. This was a perfect venue for great conversations, great food, and great photos. We tried to get seats on another cruise which was sold out, that was a lesser cost buffet style - so this was an unexpected upgrade, the quality of food, drink, and service was top notch. If we return to the area again, we will definitely do this again, and take more friends. :) read more

We held our ladies group Christmas party here. We were all really excited about holding the party here. The boat was decorated very nicely for the holidays. We cane ready to party but the bar service was super slow! Took forever for food to arrive. My food was warm. Many complained theirs was cold. Could hardly hear the music thru dinner. Food was good, DJ was great. Small roach ran across our table. Waitress chased it off. Waitress was very slow and forgetful. A/C wasn't working well and in Florida that was brutal. We've gone on other starlight yachts and they were good. read more

I must start by saying the ship waited for my boyfriend and I to board before sailing away. It was very kind of them. I'm sure it made other passengers mad, but hey we paid as they did and if we didn't have a problem getting a cab to take us there we would have been there on time. Instead we ended up taking our rental from St. Pete's to Clearwater. This cruiseline also has a dinner cruise out of St. Pete's but my sister recommended the Clearwater cruise saying it was much better and prettier. How awesome, we had a window seat! I'm a kid at heart so this was great! Instead of looking over someones head to see outside, I could look out my own window! And what do I see out my window, a PIRATE SHIP sailing by us, with pirates aboard waving at us... Jealous? Yes I was... but anyways. I don't really remember my dinner on this cruise or what it tasted like, but I know I ate my plate like a good girl. The drinks on the other hand WOWZERS were they strong!!!!!!!! To the point where you have to hold your nose the alcohol was so strong... but who's rating on food or drinks? Today, I'm reviewing the atmosphere ...which was fun and sorta romantic. So this cruise ship is sailing up and down Clearwater Beach which is very beautiful, but I have to say the sunset is the best part. The ambience was nice. Two level boat with a bar upstairs. You are seated once you get on the boat they take your drink order and once served they take your food order. There is an "entertainer" who gives you a rundown and she sang karaoke style most of the trip. You are allowed to move around the boat freely as you desire. The food was decent. Appetizer was a chefs choice of several finger foods. Then olive oil with balsamic vinegar and roasted garlic with bread for doping. Caesar salad was next, this was the only choice. For the Main course I had the rack of lamb which was excellent. Desert was a birthday cake most likely bought from the local publix. Overall it was a decent meal that was very expensive. This is the reasoning for the 3 stars. Also there was a frat party who were extremely loud and obnoxious and basically did what they wanted. I'm no pride but there were party's of 2-4 who were much older and were visibly upset by the atmosphere. Word of advice, bring your own medication with you Tylenol, Dramamine, etc. because they do not have any on-board. Hope this review helps. read more
