We were looking for a fast boat ride, with not too-crowded boat, and at least one hour boat ride. And this checked all items on the list. They claimed that this is the fastest boat around here, going at 50-60 mph, and the boat was indeed really fast. Everyone on the boat was having so much fun getting a little wet. A bonus is that they let us drive it too! Although it was only for less than a minute, the tour guide also took pictures and video while we were driving. It was little sad that we couldnt get to see dolphins, but i dont blame them for it read more

By far the best thing we've done on our vacation!!! The captain and 1st mate were awesome, funny, and just as excited as we were when we saw the dolphins. Another boat got together with our boat to create a big wake and the dolphins were playing and jumping out of the water. Even the little baby dolphin. My husband had a blast driving the boat. It was so exciting and the captain answered any question I had and actually gave some great info on wildlife that we saw. I saw a small stingray but missed my picture of it. Ah well, everything else was just amazing! One of the best things to do here. We highly recommend!! read more

Best "boat" activity you can do. I have taken triller boat rides in Miami twice and now Clearwater. The boat is great, the time on the water- well worth the money but it is the crew that makes this trip. Today we took a thriller ride with two events that make me love this crew. First- our in open water we spot a rubber ball, like helium balloons these will deflate and wildlife will mistake for fish and consume. The first mate jumped off the boat and swam to retrieve the call, Bravo! Second five minutes from the end of our trip we came across a large family of dolphins and even though we had already seen dolphins the captain turned around and allowed this family to play in our wake. Coolest paid boat experience ever! They could have kept going to the dock but chose to make this an even more memorable experience. Do NOT miss this ride. read more

We loved the ride! It's located in Clearwater beach marina and has a yellow sign and the boat and so you won't miss it. The ride last about an hour or so and they show you around and let to drive the boat for a few minutes so you can take pictures. The boat is really fast so I would advice to hold your hat or not to take it with you at all because it will fly off your head. I can't say that the staff is really friendly but they do their job well, so don't forget to take some cash with you for tips( if you want too). The ride is not expensive and you can buy tickets online or in person. If we are back to Clearwater Beach we will definitely ride the boat again. read more

Thriller was a ton of fun! And super informative. My husband and I had an absolute blast. We sat in the very back and got pretty wet at times. Highly recommend the back...SUCH a blast! Not only was this speedboat ride fun, fast, and thrilling, but the entire area of the ride was beautiful and were able to see some spectacular homes (some famous as well) on the beach. If that wasn't enough, the music made the ride that much better. And if that still wasn't enough, the captain and his side kick were HILARIOUS and super Friendly as well. Made a reservation today for 4:30 planned my whole day around it only to get there and find out there was no 430 tour and they thought It would be fine to substitute some little tug boat piece of shit ride, without telling me on the phone while making reservation. Even called at 3:30 to ask about parking and spoke to same person and they said nothing about canceling the regular speed boat and that I would have to go on a tug boat instead. Who would want to go on a little tug boat instead when you are booking a speed boat ride!!!! You guys are a scam. Will be reporting you for false advertising and bait and switch. Sometimes you just can't wait to right a review. After a very disappointing 'womp, womp' excursion with "Encounters with Dolphins" (separate review) the previous day, our vacation was redeemed with an action packed ride on the "Thriller" speedboat on 7/10. From the guy that booked our trip in the kiosk on the dock, to the boat captain, to the HILARIOUS first mate, this was the highlight of our vacation. The music was jamming, the rolling commentary was funnier than Fallon or Kimmel, the ride was absolutely exhilarating (even with the passenger 'drivers') and the best part was watching about a dozen or so dolphins literally jumping several feet out of the water while they frolicked in the wake behind the boat. I only wish TA had the capacity to download videos as words and one photo can not begin describe this amazing encounter with dolphins in their natural environment. You must go on the THRILLER if you are visiting Clearwater Beach....no discussion!! JUST DO IT!!! read more

Great boat ride- this is the way to see Clearwater Beach. The wait was very short and well worth the pocket change it took to get a ticket to ride. We saw dolphins and celebrity homes. The best part was driving the high speed boat. I would recommend not wearing a hat!! We will most definitely go back on our next family vacation. My experience with the thriller was not very good. A friend and I were recently in Florida and wanted to go on a boat ride, and thought that the thriller would be a great choice. We called in advance and we're told when to come. We arrived and paid for parking and our tickets only to be told 15 mins later that they didn't have enough people scheduled for that boat ride, and that we could come back two hours later. We couldn't do that, so we moved our tickets to Saturday at 11:30, and were told that that tour would definitely go out, because they already had 5 people scheduled to go. So we came back Saturday to be told that the boat was now being worked on, and we could come back maybe in two hours for the next departure....so we tried to be understanding and waited on the beach, only to be told AGAIN that the boat wasn't going out. I'm sure this is a great ride, but you shouldn't have people pay for tickets only to tell them shortly after that the boat isn't going out. Not to mention that we paid for parking twice. The only reason that I'm giving two stars is because they were kind about giving our money back. Otherwise the experience was an inconvenience. You can't expect even the most patient person to wait around for days on a boat that isn't going out on a regular basis. We went on the little toot instead, and it was phenomenal. read more

The boat ride itself was great. We called the morning of to make reservations. The gentleman we spoke to took down our name but would not take payment over the phone. He stated that we pay at the booth. On the way to the booth, we got a phone call from another gentleman stating that we got bumped from our reservation because we didn't pay. When we explained to him that we tried to pay for the reservation earlier, he told him that the other guy "must have been a bad employee." No one ever apologized. We had a party of 6. Luckily we were able to be flexible. But even when we went to the booth to pay, the guys at the booth kept placing the blame and no one ever apologized for the inconvenience. I give the boat ride 5 stars. I give your customer service 1 star. Just make sure you pay for your reservation in advance so you don't lose it. read more

We had a great experience when on the boat. It was very fast and my son and husband got to steer the boat which was amazing. My one big gripe is that our tour was NOT for the hour and they returned after 45 minutes. So it was not a full hour as advertised. For nearly $30 a person we should have gotten our full hour. The crewman tried to say it was because we left early when I complained after the boatride. But that was a lie. We were looking at our watches and we ledy exactly at 11:30 and got back at 12:14. They advertise for an hour but don't give you a full hour. Shady people! read more

So much fun! It was a little scary at times but totally fun! My fiance and I sat in the very back so we got most of the water that splashed up as well as the most bumps in the ride..I thought I was going overboard a few times tho. They may want to consider seatbelts. Lol If you want a rough ride make sure you ride in the back!! Definitely a must try for Clearwater!! read more

We enjoyed this ride during the first week of May. Captain Mike and his Boston Sidekick were great to be around. They were knowledgeable about the area and kept everyone happy/entertained. The boat was fast and when it turned, passengers could be seen feeling the effects of the G's. In total, it was a great ride with a fun crew. Awesome attraction in Clearwater, definitely not to be missed. Boat is super fast but very smooth. Second year in a row we have done it. My 9 year old loves it, they even let him drive the boat for a good while. This year brought my mom (67 yrs) and she thought it was a blast. Boat capt and co-capt are great, they tell jokes, do a famous house tour and even try to spot dolphins. All in all one of the best boat tours and friendliest staff. read more
