She was putting a lot of pressure on me about this, and although, my hair is suffering from the effects of an overactive thyroid, I felt it was a conflict of interest. Especially because all the product in the world is not really going to fix hair that has been breaking due to a thyroid issue. I did indicate several times I had no interest in the products, then I bought one hoping she would give it a rest, but it had the opposite effect. This place is a bit further away from my part-time residence, but Cathy has been very nice to me, even though she knows my hair is not on the best shape. She is also A LOT less expensive than my old place, and she isn't pushy about hair products either. I find it much more relaxing to go to someone so nice and low-key. She said, "In this business, you pretty much have to give the customers what they want." I believe this to be true in any business, but it was nice to hear someone take a customer friendly attitude. Especially, because, like most people, sometimes I have gotten a cut that was not what I was expecting. She really seems knowledgeable. It's also a smaller shop and I rather prefer that to a giant salon. If you are near this area I would recommend giving this place a try. It is sort of hard to find as the strip mall iis set back from the road, but after you find it, it's worth it. :)

Under Deb's care my hair color is amazing and the cut is just incredible. I have difficult hair due to a lot of cowlicks that have a mind of their own. My hair was in absolutely grotesque condition when I first came to Donna, with awful breakage from another stylists improper keratin tip application, causing a huge knot, ripping out my hair. Donna has nursed my hair back to health and her services keep getting better ! I recently got the two rows of the Darling Invisible Beaded Weft extensions installed by Donna and love it so much that I am getting 2 more rows installed as I write this. The Darling Invisible Bead Wefts are an awesome new technique offered by Donna, which includes a lot more hair, attached with beads to the my natural hair, with a layer of hair draped over the beads, protecting and hiding the beads. I previously had a combination of beaded wefts and I-tips, and am transitioning to just the Darling Invisible Wefts. These wefts are very comfortable and give me tons of volume along with adding incredible length that I have not been able to achieve with other types of extensions; due to my natural hair being so fine and thin. I finally have my dream hair ; whilst knowing my natural hair is not being damaged! I would recommend Donna to anyone wanting hair extensions, especially with fine/thinning hair as she is a true magician with fine hair! I would also recommend her hair coloring services as she has also been doing my "blonding" color and my hair looks beautiful! And I have never loved my hair and hairdresser this much! She saved my hair and my confidence, as when I first started seeing her, I literally had a gap in my hairline from a tangled knot created by poorly installed keratin tipped extensions, done elsewhere. I think all of those keratin extensions have finally grown out, Donna did not want to risk the integrity of my hair and "rip" out those original keratin extensions, as my previous hair dresser had done when the hair grew out and/or was tangled. Donna places the importance of maintaining and improving the integrity of your own natural hair above all else; Except maybe customer service, as she is an absolute saint, when it comes to assuring you are happy with your experience and results. She goes above and beyond to be flexible with " hair emergencies", such as a loose extension and getting you in for an appointment ASAP no matter how busy she gets. I love her eclectic style and personalized customization, incorporating different extension methods to help me get the look I want, considering the limitations my own fine, short hair imposes! I currently have itips, and two different types of wefts, blonde, with black lowlights and a fun feather. I will try to attach a picture. Donna is also wonderful at "blonding", something I did not realize when I first started going to her. She uses Ollaplex to prevent damage during bleaching/lightening and gave me GORGEOUS non brassy heavy highlights, with depth and dimension, which she matched perfectly with the colors in my extensions. She also always has fun new options in stock at the salon, from feathers to tinsels to all kinds of funky colors/ombres, to add that little bit of flare to any look, without damaging ones natural hair as these are all hair extensions added using non damaging methods. It is truly rare these days to find someone like Donna, who genuinely cares about her clients and has the skill set and inventory to create miracles! The salon is more like a home, which is nice because it makes you feel more comfortable. The atmosphere is very inviting and serene. She has later hours that makes it convenient for those who work late. I came in because I desperately needed my hair done. It's hard to find a black salon in the suburbs that offers quality products and great results. Tanya asked me what I wanted before she gave a consultation. My hair was damaged so I knew it had to go. She said the same thing in a nice way. She cut my hair in a beautiful style and assured me that my hair will grow back. She wants to work with healthy hair and takes pride in her work. She is very versatile and willing to accommodate. I'll be going back. I enjoyed my experience at The Comfort Zone Lounge.

I was on a walk with my dog when I saw the grand opening sign, and I decided to check it out. This turned out to be an excellent decision. The young owner, Eddie, is friendly and welcoming, but more importantly, he is a terrific barber. I showed him photos of my old haircut, and he immediately said it would be no problem to match it. My hair presents some challenges due to a minor minefield of cowlicks. Eddie gave me a fantastic cut, navigated the cowlicks, shaved my neck, and made sure to trim my eyebrows and ears. His attention to detail and concerns about my particular wishes were superb. One bonus as winter winds down is that the cut left me without the dreaded "hat head". I admire someone as young as Eddie taking on the challenge of opening his own business. As I hope to be a regular client for a long time, I hope the new shop is a major success.
