Great service! The barber instantly understood what I was asking for, went to work quickly and finished in 15 minutes. My cut was similar to how I wanted it (unlike many other salons I've gone to) and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. Cheers! read more

My husband loves Babylon Hair Salon. He's tried a couple of other salons, and he keeps coming back here. They are cash only and the lines are long. The positive is that they are quick and do a fantastic job. They do such a great job with his hair; he almost looks like a different person! It's totally worth the wait, and the price is reasonable for the quality you receive! read more

Sargon always does a fantastic job on my fades, and tapered beard lineups. Can't go wrong with any of their barbers but he's the best. And for the price compared to other barbers? Unbeatable. Do yourself a favor for summer and come here to get cleaned up. Always get compliments on my fades from here. I drive 30 minutes now just to come get it. read more

If I could put a no star on this I totally would. This place don't know how to treat their customers right nor cut hair. I've gotten the worst hair cut ever and now just about to find a different shop just to fix this. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

Chabi is a miracle worker. I've been to (and would recommend) everyone there, but Chabi knows exactly what I'm looking for and always gets it right. This place is a 5/5 for stylish haircuts at the lowest prices you'll find in the area. read more

Used to be cheap. Now they want $40 for bullshit haircut that they rush and finish in 15 minutes. Go to a real barber who will spend time and effort on your style rather than try to do 4 customers per hour. They literally sit you down and start waving scissors and machines fast asf to finish you within 15 minutes. They're trying to make $160 per hour by doing this. Feels like I'm in a deli with those numbers they have you grab. Saw the "head barber" from what it looked like literally advise the other barbers to not do an old man's haircut after he had been sitting there for an hour but another one of their Assyrian buddies came in and was attended to first which the old man did not like. Because he spoke out he was denied service and left without a haircut. I wanted to walk out after that too if I also hadn't spent an hour waiting as well. It was like a slap in the face being told "oh this person has an appointment" but they literally have never taken an appointment. They just knew the person and gave him priority. Fast service at a reasonable price, sometimes they are busy but work quickly. Great experience every time I've been there for a haircut.

I genuinely don't recommend this place to any anyone out there. I had a very bad experience. The barber was very rude and didn't even cut my hair properly. I was in and out in 10 mins. Barber was in a rush and was on phone while cutting my hair. I asked him to fix my hair line and he didn't even do it properly and messed up my hair line. To do the hair line you have to use the band to make it even but he never used it. I asked him if I can use the dryer to fix my hair and he refused it right way. I am literally paying you bro, You are not cutting it for free. Be nice and professional to your customers. Very disappointed!!! read more

Phenomenal service, price and cuts/shaves. There really isn't much more to say- a real hidden gem in the burbs. Update: Still awesome and amazingly affordable. Just a tip: If you're coming at a busy time like early evening or late afternoon, allow for a decent wait. I don't usually expect immediate seating and allow for ~20/30 mins of wait. If you come earlier in the day, you can probably cut down on the wait. Still worth every effort, Amazing guys! read more

I saw that this placed opened up very near my apartment, so naturally I just had to give it a go. To put it mildly, it drastically exceeded my expectations. I am always one to support local businesses. The shopping center itself recently got a huge facelift. The business facades have all been updated and the parking lot has been resurfaced. This was quite obviously done in an effort to attract new tenants, and this being the second new opening in as many months, it's a strategy that appears to be working. The interior of Babylon is spotless and welcoming, and unlike most salons in the area, instead of being met by a twenty something girl who talks fast and chews gum, you are greeted by the owner who is a quite muscular gentleman with tats and boots. To be honest this was a little bit concerning initially, until the man got to work on my hair, then his attention to detail and the obvious pride he takes in his work was beyond reproach. This is not your standard standard 10 min suburbia cut. He takes his time, scissors and layers everything to perfection, trims your eyebrows and neckline, and then breaks out the straight razor for that polished and fresh from the barber shop look. It has been FOREVER since I have seen a barber use a straight razor. This is an old school touch that I was very pleasantly surprised to see. It was quite refreshing to get lathered up and shaved, and the final result looks fantastic. The cut in general is the best one I have had in an eternity. Considering how close this place is to where I live, and the fact that the cuts are a friggin bargain (8 bucks) for the quality of the work, I would say It's 100% safe to assume I will be returning here for haircuts from now on. read more

Been going here for around 4 months now & I highly recommend Babylon Hair Salon! Chabi has been taking care of me & I've gotten many comments on how great he did on the fading for my hairstyle. Chabi & the crew are top tier read more

Excellent barbershop. Every barber there is great, prices are very reasonable. I have been going here for years. They are cash only.

Finally after 4 years living in Chicago I found a good place for a good haircut. These guys are awesome and affordable. If you wanna a good fade, this is the place. Only downside is that they don't take appointments, so your best bet is to go on a weekday. read more

Great work for a great price! Wait times are long at times! This is a falsify run business! Do support!

Great service. Try it out and you will be amazed. I mostly go with Ashur, but all of them are professional barbers. Have been getting haircuts here for over three years now... read more

They are all professional. I personally prefer Ninos but when he is not there, other guys are also awesome.

I tried this place on a whim because I wasn't happy with where I had been going. I think I found my new spot. Don't let the low price fool you, their work is quality. This is no budget chain, but a small locally owned business providing great cuts at an unbeatable price. Their store is clean and spacious with the usual amenities (TV's, music, wifi). Was very pleased, I will be returning. read more

All the reviews here are correct. Great guys, great service, great price. Nothing else to say. Walk in only.

For two years I had nothing but good things to say about this salon, but I am sorry to say I had a terrible experience with them today. My husband and I (seniors) have been loyal customers for two years, and have never had a complaint either with the cuts or the service. Everyone has been friendly and knows their job. Last time I mistakenly entered a $45 tip on their ancient debit machine, so the owner wrote out a $40 credit on a card, dated and signed it. When I went in today, the same person refused to honor the card and insisted my husband had already used up the credit! This is impossible, as I had the card in my purse the whole time, and my husband had not even been IN for a cut in that time period. The time before that, he used the debit machine. But the owner made a huge deal out of it and kept saying, "I remember it, I remember it", assuming his memory overrode our honesty and integrity. I felt humiliated, and the staff seemed embarrassed. He was accusing me of either lying or trying to defraud the salon, which was outrageous! He wanted my husband to come into the salon, and when I said no, he said "ask him about it, ask him about it", repeatedly. I don't think he made eye contact with me the whole time. In no way, shape or form did we (or would we) defraud anyone. This was a disgraceful way to treat pensioners who have been loyal customers for years. PLEASE do not subject anyone else to this treatment! Customer service should be paramount in any successful business, and when customers lose trust in you, you lose everything. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting Ninos today. He's a man of few words but a wizard with scissors. I consulted my fellow Yelpers in hopes of finding a suitable barber in the area and once again they delivered. I walked in without an appointment on a Thursday morning and only had to wait about 30 minutes for 3 other guys to go before me. Ninos is very no-nonsense and I got the exact haircut I needed since I've been growing out a little rat's nest for a while. Prices are so affordable so you can still get a high quality haircut if you're tight on a budget. Don't forget to tip well since you'll be saving a lot of money! Thanks again, Ninos. See you soon! read more

Hands down the these are one of the best barbers I've been to. I've lived in Chicago, LA and now I'm stuck in Schaumburg. I have dry curly hair that is hard to work with and I can never find a spot that can cut it right let alone style it. I got desperate for a haircut and found this place by accident. The price is unbeatable and their quality is perfect. I look forward to being a usual here. read more

Another great cut at this spot! This is 5-6th time here and I have yet to be disappointed! Do t let the price point of $7.99 fool you. This is not a great clips or anything like that. You will get a legit cut with a quality barber that uses a straight blade. I used to travel out to the city or to Aurora get my haircut but now I Dan walk to my barber and be seen right away and get an awesome haircut. If you haven't tried this place and are looking for a new barber, this is the place to go! read more

I wish I could give this place 6 stars. The price for what you get is shockingly affordable. The best value for any barber/haircut place that I have ever been to. I have been to Babylon twice now, and the amount of detail, precision, and focus that the gentlemen give to me while cutting my hair is amazing. You can tell that they truly take pride in what they do. Ninos and his brother are very nice people, and seem to remember faces, even if you've only been there once or twice. Little details like that will build his customer base quickly. I'm going to keep going here, as you can not find a better haircut for the price anywhere in Chicagoland. Fact. read more

Cheap haircuts, you get what you pay for. If you like a nice even fade and are picky with your hair, steeeeer clear. I've tried them out a few times, after this last one no more. My taper cut was horrible, uneven you could see lines smh so embarrassing. Went back to get it fixed but wasn't trying to wait another 45 minutes to an hour so I left, done with that place. The only one that liked that pocket, regret even tipping the guy. read more

I came here for a haircut. I waited for 30 min, there were 2 people working. One guy was on his phone, and didn't ask me anything, not sure if he speaks English. Other guy never said anything either. After 30 min, someone else walked in, and spoke in a different language to each other, and they sat him right away. I waited 45 min total until they cut my hair. Guy was very rude and rushed me out. My hair cut was ok, but not what I asked for. I would never go back here again. read more

Great staff. Very clean as well. New styles at a great price. Ninos and Ashur are very experienced , they did exactly what I asked for me and my son and in no time we were done. It is amazing how quick and efficient and Accurate these guys are, unlike other salons which they take forever and still don't cut your hair the way you want. This salon meets both price and quality. My advice to everyone is to stay away from franchised salons and visit local individual salons like Babylon Hair salon. Keep up the great service guys! read more

I called the salon and asked if they provided services for elderly people. I asked, if they can come and Shave my dads beard & trim his hair at the hospital. The salon owner assured me that someone would come after hours and provide us with a barber. ASHUR came after his working shift and provided us with the BEST service. He was very comforting and great. The Audisho family would like to thank Babylon Salon & Ashur for an outstanding service!!!!!! You both went above and beyond we can't thank you enough... After seeing the reviews on Yelp, I figured to give this place a try. Honestly, it did not disappoint. There's a saying "less is more", and that's exactly what this is. It's a very open and clean facility. The staff is very friendly and know what they're doing especially with a straight razor. To add to the experience, it is very affordable - $8 cash!
